Hi guys. I have been researching various Asian surgeons for double jaw surgery and stumbled across Dr SL Chan in Singapore because he'd written an article about jaw surgery for older patients (I am 41). I hadn't really looked outside Korea and Taiwan before that, but his website looked very impressive and reassuring - it isn't trying to sell surgery or look glossy with lots of pictures of young girls with a perfect v-line face. Indeed theren't aren't any before and afters (sadly!). It looks like the website of a jaw surgeon in the US or Europe, with mostly medical, sensible and practical advice. My surgery is more complicated than just a vline so I want to make sure it is with a proper orthognathic/maxillofacial surgeon with lots of experience, not a plastic surgeon.

However I don't know a thing about this guy outside of this website, so I am hoping someone on here might be from Singapore or have heard of him through other asian forums. If you want to let me know anything good or bad you can always PM me if you feel more comfortable.

Even if you just have any info about Singapore in general as a place for surgery that would be helpful. For instance, is it a place that has a good reputation on the whole, or is it a country other forum members might avoid for some reason?

Thanks
