monimoni Posted March 9, 2018 Posted March 9, 2018 Hi guys! I'm planning on going to Seoul this June to get rhinoplasty done. With my current nose, it becomes pretty wide especially when I smile, and I feel like my alars are pretty attached to the smile lines that follow my mouth. For those of you who have undergone rhinoplasty, how has your smile changed after? Does your new nose still fan out to stretch just as much as the old one did when you smiled? I'm worried that if this is the case, then rhinoplasty might not really resolve the aesthetic issues I have with my nose.
vruuu Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 Your alars will always flare out when you smile, but after my rhinoplasty, it stretched out less. It might also have to do with the fact that my alars were also reduced during the surgery, although not by much. Also, the nose tip flattens out because of the flexibility with cartilage. After you do rhinoplasty, you lose that flexibility, so it won't flatten as much.
monimoni Posted March 11, 2018 Author Posted March 11, 2018 This is really helpful to know, thank you!
sweetmalbec Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 you mean a natural nose tip with flatten out over time? :O
phoai Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 In my case it improved a lot, it definitely stretche out less!
