Hey there,

I desperately want parallel double eyelid but people around here all seem like gotten tapered ones. So if here’s anyone who got a parallel des in SK please share your experience with me.
And also any info about parallel des is welcome here.

Hey all the terminology confuses me. Not sure what parallel is because I thought that would be sausage shape and apparently it is not a good thing as ppl hate it.
I found this blog by a girl who went to Teium. I think Dr Kwon is a bit too slick but I like what he did for her. Read her graphic account of her surgery, quite horrible and funny. She was very good at documenting her day by day recovery with photos.

Tapered-inner side of the double eyelid is closed.
Parallel-inner side of the double eyelid is open like the tail.
There won’t be sausage problem if the creases are not so high.

Thanks for clarifying, now I know what to ask for. Lazy.jpg
Hey if you want to stay in the States. I love Wave in L.A. LazyBumTot documented her eye sx there. She wanted the top doc, Peter Lee but he wasn't available so she went with Dr Ho. Unfortunately she doesn't seem to be there anymore or I can't find her. They do good work on Koreans/Asians.

Thanks for your posts. But I am interested in South Korean clinics/surgeons. And also my case is quite difficult because I have already done full incisional DES with epi. Unfortunately my eyes are suuuuuuper scarry I wanna get them done again. Since it is revisional surgery I need a surgeon who is experienced exactly on a case like mine.

Maybe he ISN'T such a great choice. "From what I've learned from the internet and talking with a friend (and a friend of hers), I think the chances of getting good results with him are 50/50. I also think that his techniques are outdated, building/location appears unprofessional, and his personality misleading and arrogant."
"Same here! Had surgery with Dr. Andrew Choi 9 months ago with 7mm crease size. Recovery period was hard for me. My eyes looked so bad the first two months. Now at 9 months post op, I have very unnatural puffy swollen creases like two sausages. Going for revision at my 1-year mark. I just want to point out something to the girls out there who are considering this surgery. When we look for a surgeon, we want someone who is very experienced. But we have to be careful with that. Sometimes surgeons with many years (30, 40+ years) of experience under their belts, their technique might be outdated or they still practice the old traditional method of DES." which will comprise the result.

Andrew Choi, VIP he has good and bad reviews. AsianGlow is very happy. I guess the PS fairies have to be on your side. Don't give up. I will be on my 3rd DES revision soon and MissOrange had 3.
I know you're not interested in L.A. I found another poster who had sx at Wave. After 7 months one eye changed but she still looks amazing with make up on.

I can’t even imagine going for DES revision for the 3rd time. My current DES harmed my self-esteem, self confidence greatly, I have been stressed about it a lot. I feel so embarassed to look down or close my eyes since my eyes are extremely scarry, and it is really visible because I don’t wear makeup (complete bare face with no bb cream). Embarassments piled up and now I almost stopped going out just because my eyes are horrible.
So I really need experienced surgeon for my revisional surgery and most importantly I want 0 scar.

Hmmm zero scar is unrealistic with incisional method.
Read up on Dr Kang, IOU. He wrote a paper on reversal of incision. A lot of poster hated their sx with him and there are ppl who lucked out and got great work. If his pic have not been photoshopped (and I am the worst at picking this out) he revises scars to a bare minimum.

I know it is difficult but I still want 0 scar.
How come those korean actresses got no-scar-at-all DES??? For example song hye kyo got her eyes done surely and on korean dramas there’s nothing that tells she got DES. Maybe non-incisional DES??? No idea.
I don’t know what to think, where to go, which doctors I should see... totally no idea.
