Please help-going to Korea alone from US for nose job and chin reduction

Recommended Posts

Hello, all!

I have been a long time lurker on your site but am only just posting.

I am 26, which I realize is old, and I have waited a long time to be pretty. I have been speaking to clinics in Korea, mainly The Line, GNC, DARPS, and Regen about getting V line surgery along with a nose job. However, I'm caucasin so I'm a bit worried about the nose job.

I'm also just worried in general-I know there are serious risks to both and I don't know how to go about going alone abroad, though an exconsultant from SmallFace is going above and beyond to help me.

Any help or advice as to what clinic would be appreciated or to what to expect for pricing--someone charged me 22,000 USD for vline and cheekbone reduction. Um, no.

I've attached my picture. Other procedures are also welcome suggestions.

Thank you in advance.

Do you have a link for the cllinic? Maybe it is because I am from abroad that they feel I can be overcharged.

The line recently responded with this:
"
Beside Power V contouring you can do Jaw Reduction to get a V line on the bottom of your face. For nose you can go for a basic Rhinoplasty. We do both open and close rhinoplasty but we prefer close rhinoplasty as it does not leave any visible scar .Here i'm adding the price for your better understanding. Please check.

#Square jaw reduction =KRW 9,100,000;(USD : 8399 approx.)

#Basic rhinoplasty (open + silicone + concha cartilage)additional costs for more procedures = KRW 4,150,000;(USD : 3830 approx.)

Note: The price is based on online consultation and it can be varied during face to face consultation depending on doctors advice due to your condition.

Please let us know your expected date of arrival so that we can check available time slots with our doctor.

Let us know if you have any query or confusion.Hope to hear from you soon.

With Regards,

Emma Young"

I have no issues with posting price-I think it helps to know how people are and what we are getting into.

I am really scared of cheekbone reduction. Can I ask why not about v line?

Also, I totally agree about tipplasty. If you have any other recs, please let me know! Lol I can always be better.

Your jaw already looks slim. Your cheekbones are really strong and it they are reduced, it might make your face look more feminine. But just my opinion, I'm no surgeon lol TBH it's hard to reccomend any clinics in korea because my primary rhinoplasty there was botched there and i hear too many mixed reviews . Just take your time and research and check out the website soyoung for reviews, they have photos before and after and pretty honest reviews . Reviews here won't help unless you see before and afters. Many clinics in korea know about this forum and write fake reviews here to try to drive people to their clinic , they pose as patients ...

Thank you so much for the reply. Ugh, that is awful to know. I am so afraid of being botched again-I already had a nose job in the US and it was botched and it's really scarred me.

Are you willing to share who you went to? I'll start going through the other site because I need to do more research.

I am on the same page with krod2017 about vline, there’s almost nothing to “cut” from your chin tip and jawbone. Your zygoma body and arch are quite protruding and wide so zygoma reduction is an option. But I am afraid that maybe zygoma reduction will make your face longer since your face is on the long side now. IMO there’s no way to make your face look not long after zygoma reduction because the distance from your chin tip to lower lip is sooooo normal that it cannot be shortened.
Please understand I am no doctor and it is 100% my opinion but I would zygoma body shaving with no arch reduction and for the difference between your zygoma arch and jaw I would do fat graft to make your cheek fuller. So your face won’t look long and you will have more proportionate face.
Please note again it is just my opinion.

Your opinion is so welcome! I like high cheekbones-in the US, a lot of models have them but I do think they make my eyes smaller. If I could slim my face a bit, I'd do it, especially to look more feminine. However, my face is also just long. That said, I'm not sure what clinics do them well or what normal pricing is.

The only clinic that quoted me-I believe now it is JK-gave me 21,000 USD or something for it--insane.

Any other advice is welcome and appreciated.

Black circle-it is zygoma arch. Caucasians like it and some of them even go for implant to have it you know.
Red circle-it is zygoma body part and I think it is quite shave-able.
So I think you can shave red circled part and leave the arch alone. And get some cheeck by fat graft.

For the cost zygoma reductions usually costs around 5-6 mln KRW.

Thank you so much! Is there any place you would recommend? I keep getting insane quotes. I also want to get a rhinoplasty. I thought maybe GNG but I just read their thread end and it seems like they have some awful horror stories.
