earla Posted April 19, 2018 Author Posted April 19, 2018 Hey guys. Just got home last night. Swelling still there but I'm able to eat semi fast foods now like soft bread, cake, mashed potatoes and soft meat. The swelling was quite bad on the return flight so please bring your compression bandage and a hoodie to decrease swelling onboard. No pain today just tingling sensation from the stitches and numb sensation on my lower and upper lip. But it gets better day by day. See a lovely double chin because of the swelling but I see it has decreased a lot from day 1. Be safe guys and eat and recover well
missy_sana Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 Glad to hear that you feel better, @earla ! Try pineapples and different ways to cook pumpkin, always good for swelling if they are in season in your hometown.
honii Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 Thanks so much for sharing your experience, it looks great so far! Hope you recover well I'm glad that you shared the pain of the surgery too, since a lot of people overlook this a bit Is it ok if I ask why you did not stay overnight at the hospital at TFD?
earla Posted April 23, 2018 Author Posted April 23, 2018 I don't think you can stay overnight unless you have two jaw... I also think having the surgery on a weekend might have something to do with it. Sunday closed for business or something like that
earla Posted July 1, 2018 Author Posted July 1, 2018 Hey guys just wanted to update you all. I can finally see the difference! My chin is still quite swollen on the bottom but from my side profile I can say my horrid man chin is gone I am so pleased having been bothered by it for so long. Before my chin looked like Farquaad from shrek. Now it looks feminine and fits my face. Thank you all for sharing your experiences on this forum. It has helped me a great deal Be safe all
thelilachour Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 Thanks for the update @earla , love hearing about how other people are recovering from v line. I had mine at TFD in January and seeing the swelling decrease on people’s pics makes me look forward to seeing my final results. Had fat dissolving injections for my double chin (Kybella) a week ago hoping to improve that aspect. But a double chin is worth the asymmetry and long chin/square jaw correction of v line.
lynns Posted September 24, 2018 Posted September 24, 2018 Hi, Where did you do your Kybella? How’s the results? Price as well, Tia
