Anyone experienced with ear cartilage graft for their rhinoplasty?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,
I want to reach out to anyone who has had rhinoplasty using their ear cartilage, in particular diced fascia graft for nose bridge augmentation. I'm seriously contemplating Dr. Yoo in Beverly Hills and he advised that ear is suitable for mild to moderate change. However I fear it may not as permanent as I would like and encounter resorption, irregular bridge contours if it were to resorb.

I get conflicting information when I do my research which includes questioning doctors on Realself, reading medical journals and speaking to patients. Of course everyone is different but i'm trying to figure out if it's worth going for ear cartilage for my nose bridge augmentation. I would like my next (third) rhino to be my last and avoid adding more complications by choosing the better method where possible. looking for 2-3mm change or to use rib, but prefer not being so invasive and VERY afraid of the graft ossifying/calcifying as I get older, which I assume would resorb being that its bone.

Anyone who has experience with an intact piece of ear or diced cartilage in a fascia tube, please care to share!
