kiranakamura Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 Hi everyone! I want to share my experience with one Korean plastic surgery hospital and how I dared, hope someone finds it useful and helpful. My life is full of positive emotions, but I began to notice that people around looked at me with pity. I got low eyebrows by inheritance and in combination with aging wrinkles I seemed always gloomy, tired and unhappy. And it especially was emphasized by my skin folds between my eyebrows and eyelids formed as a result of the sagging. After a couple of months of contemplating I firmly decided “A new year with a new life” and to proceed face lift. I thoroughly searched about all possible options. I knew Korea was famous in the beauty industry not only because of cosmetics, but also because of best plastic surgery service. I’ve seen a lot of reviews on JK, ID, Cinderella, GNG and REGEN and it was a bit difficult for me to choose, but the more I found about each of them, the less my list became. Finally left only 2 of them and moved to the next step – online consultation. ID was the first and I contacted them via LINE. The reply I received almost immediately and it was from the consultant. She asked to send some front and side pics with no filters and makeup. Later we agreed the time and day of the consultation at the hospital. The same was with REGEN. In the end of January this year I arrived Seoul full of hope to change my life. It wasn’t my first time traveling to Korea alone, so I could handle everything by myself. Id and Regen were located quite far from each other, so I decided to rent an apartment somewhere in between. The same day I visited id and Regen. Dr.Oh was as same as I was imagining him after watching Let Me In. Before coming to Seoul I told the assistant that want to proceed a face lift, but during the consultation Dr.Oh explained that by lifting the lower part of my eyebrows I can achieve a more open and young look. I was also concerned about wrinkles and he suggested fat injections to both get rid of wrinkles and give more volume some of my facial zones. I was impressed, he was so professional and detailed, patiently answered all my questions. When I visited id, I liked about it everything. The staff was very polite and welcoming and the doctor was quite smart and experienced, but I had a feeling that it just wasn’t the right place for me. Sometimes, something from the inside tells you whom to trust and where to go and my intuition has never failed me before, so I just chose Dr.Oh. He had a very busy schedule, hopefully I noticed them about my second visit the day before. I didn’t have much time to stay in Korea longer, as had to come back asap. Regen took my timing barriers into attention and organized everything in the best way. When I came back to the hospital, they headed me to pass all body tests and helped to prepare for the operation. I had a final consultation with Dr.Oh and went to the operation room. What happened after the anesthesia shot I have no idea. I woke up already in my recovery room. The nurse kept me awake for the next 2 hours, I didn’t feel any pain but could barely open my eyes. In the evening I returned to my apartments. The first day I was very swollen and had terrible dark edemas all over my face. After post-op treatments swelling gradually disappeared. As a bonus I also received a special skin care service the next day after operation. I asked to remove stitches as soon as possible and they did it after 5 days. Slight swelling remained for 2 more weeks and by the end of the first months I finally could see noticeable changes. 4 months past and scars are already invisible. Finally, my gloomy look disappeared and eyes glow much brighter. I don’t understand what stopped me before, but definitely satisfied with results. This is me before the surgery This is after 1 week, still a bit swollen This is my most recent picture
sunnymedina Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 Happy for your results. I also want to proceed fat lifting, but I’m too skinny and afraid don’t have enough fat lol btw, from where it was taken? Abdomen or thighs?
kiranakamura Posted May 9, 2018 Author Posted May 9, 2018 The fat was taken from the back of thighs and some actually remained, we decided to save it for the future.
sunnymedina Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 If it was taken from thighs, scars shouldn’t be noticeable… but what if it’s taken from abdomen? You wouldn’t be able to wear bikini?
kiranakamura Posted May 9, 2018 Author Posted May 9, 2018 I think I’m a bit old for bikini The scars are very small, about 4-5 cm and disappear after some time.
sunnymedina Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 Thank you for sharing, so detailed and informative, hope to proceed it sometime.
hautelady Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Great result on the cheeks ! Seems like you lost the jowls, too. I could not see the brows tho for the lift. Btw, what exact lifting was done to the brows like lift to the hairline via endoscopy? Also, since it's almost 3 months, do you think you retained all the fat? Or you going for a top-up?
kiranakamura Posted May 20, 2018 Author Posted May 20, 2018 Thank you! I proceeded a subbrow blepharoplasty. Dr.Lee removed some saggy skin in the area between eyelid and eyebrows and the scar in just under the lower part of brows. Fat graft is actually very effective procedure and in most cases doesn’t have side effects since everything natural-yours. But before the surgery I’ve been told that the retention rate fluctuates and each case is individual, the main point now is to try not to lose weight sharply Some fat left I think about 60cc, we decided to save it in case if I wasn’t to revise or add some more in the future.
lilitha Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 Beautiful results! Can you tell me the price you paid? I contacted Regen and the price they quoted me was twice what I was quoted in the US.
onlydbest Posted May 26, 2018 Posted May 26, 2018 Jqueen, is that you ? Same face from kk but you changed your handle and grammar. Thought you said the fg is almost all gone after a month and thinking of mini-smas? Good thing you are happy now.
