Cheekbone and cortical jaw reduction

Recommended Posts

i had my cheekbone and jaw reduced. It's been some time now and I am experiencing some soft tissue laxity in my cheeks which makes my jawline look slightly fuller.

I originally did this surgery to make my face more symmetrical. The left side of my face before surgery was nice but the right cheekbones was more rounded and slightly wider.

Long story short, my left cheekbone looks like it was pushed too inward in a slightly downward displacement.

Before my surgery I was confident but wanted some improvements--after surgery my face is no longer tight as before and the left cheekbones (right cheekbone in photos) needs to be pushed back out somewhat.

I wish I had only reduced the right side of my cheekbone (left side in photo) but unfortunately it's too late.

I'm hoping there's a chance to revise the left cheekbones slightly outward. Please let me know if you can recommend a revision facial contouring specialist. Enclosed is a before and after of my Ct scan to give you guys a clearer picture of what I'm referring too.

How long has it been since you’ve had surgery? Is the asymmetry more noticeable now than it was before reduction? Have you considered consulting with an oral & maxillofaical surgeon for an assessment?
Fillers wouldn’t be injected at the layer where the screws are but if you plan to get a revision soon you may want to wait so the surgeon can see what you are unhappy with. Some lifting or a little fat injections might hide it as well without you having to go through another bone surgery.
I’m about two months out from my cheekbone reduction/v-line and my assymtry wasn’t fully fixed either but it’s definitely been an improvement.

The left side of my face prior to surgery--it was th right cheekbones hat was a more rounded. In photos it was more prominent--but that was easily covered up with my hair. However, before surgery I never really noticed it until I had this surgery done. Then I REALLY saw every detail of my face that I didn't notice before. I either should've just reduced one side or nothing at all.

Now after the zygoma reduction my eyes looks different. They look sad due to the skin. I don't know if an endoscopic facelift would help me. If I pull my skin from my temple upwards, it looks slightly better. So i'm thinking a possible lift and fat grafting?

All I know is my left cheekbone which was once good now looks like it was pushed to inward and slightly low. So I do t know if o should touch the bones again and have it pushed outward before fixing the soft tissue.
