Hi Guys,

Has anyone had profound RF done to tighten the skin? ( Radio Frequency). Did you experience any side effects? Does it melt the fat in your face like ultherapy does? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

profound RF is just a marketing name, you should actually check the name of the machine. Also ulthera doesn't melt fat. It tightens the underlying tissues. You should also note that the price and effect is determined by the machine too. Many clinics market the machine as ulthera or korean ulthera but the machine used varies and the results is dependant on the machine too. The ones that work quite well is the shurink and the original FDA ulthera

I see. I was reading reviews on realself of patients who has ultherapy. Allegedly, after a few months their faces started to sag and facial fat melted. I'm not sure if it's due to improper use or if the patient was the wrong candidate. After this FC surgery I've been obsessive in not making another mistake.

I had it done along with nd yag laser, I did experience fat loss and mild sagging, but the effects of fat loss were really profound not immediately after the rf, but after one fraxel laser which was performed the following month. But there was some fat loss immediately after rf as well. I have thin white skin, lasers have horrendous effects on me, don't recommend them for sensitive skins.
