springmorning Posted May 17, 2018 Posted May 17, 2018 I’m a plastic surgery newbie and looking for recommendations on who to consult for a face lift in Korea in about 2 weeks (just initial consultations, not the surgery since I’m only there a few weeks with family). I had heard of Dr. Jo Yong Woo of Dreams, but he is no longer listed on their website and I can’t find where he went. It seems many do facelifts, and the information is confusing and overwhelming, yet still feels incomplete. I’m from the US but Korean in ethnicity. I don’t speak Korean fluently, in my late 40s with younger kids, and looking for a doc with excellent education/credentials/skill (aren’t we all?) so I can get good results for my flabby jowls and neckline in a big round face, and get on with my life . I realized a surgeon can be good, but have his own niche. I’m looking at VIP, JK, and JW, and maybe Dream. Any thoughts or other recommendations?
hautelady Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 I will be watching your thread as we have the same concerns. Please come back and update this. I, too, am looking where Dr Jo Yong Woo went. I looked at http://www.prskorea.co.kr/english/ and the only Woo there is Dr Jong Seol Woo. Could it be the same doc?
hautelady Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 And he is supposed to be at JW (based on pskorea) ? But looking at jw site, there is no Dr Woo. The FC surgeon there is Dr Seung Jong Lee. I hope you find him and please DM me.
springmorning Posted May 21, 2018 Author Posted May 21, 2018 Hi Hautelady, Koreans often put the last name first, so I thought it was Dr. Jo (also I think I once saw it as Cho), but perhaps it is Dr. Woo . I wonder if he had a noncompete clause in his contract so that after he left, he is not allowed to practice within a certain radius of Dreams facilities for a certain time period. That’s fairly common in the US. Let’s keep each other posted and hopefully someone here knows something. Anyone else have a great experience with their facelift in Korea? I’m leaving this Sunday. I can post again on what I find there .
springmorning Posted May 30, 2018 Author Posted May 30, 2018 Thank you Miss Orange! I will check that out. I’m in Korea now and had one consult with Dr. Kang at JW who is their anti aging specialist. I liked his calm but friendly demeanor as well as Emily the translator. They recommended a face/necklift and endoscopic forehead lift for about 20,000 krw. But immediately offered discounts including the 10% tax at the clinic which apparently is better than the 6-7% at the airport, and another 10% for multiple procedures, so $16281 at the end. I’m hoping that’s a good number because I did like them. I’ll keep you posted if I see any others .
hautelady Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 @Springmorning , did you already get yours done? Which doc/clinic? Mind sharing? You can DM me
sheonlylooks25 Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 Here's some amazing examples of good stitching of scars by Regen.
sheonlylooks25 Posted June 18, 2018 Posted June 18, 2018 Nice but can't compare with my poster girl. I have posted her before elsewhere on TPF. Yes Grand is blacklisted from a death over 5 years ago but I believe they must have cleaned up their act as they are still in business. This FL was done 2017. So freaking amazing from someone who looks like they have had a stroke to this young girl.
didyouseehernose Posted June 18, 2018 Posted June 18, 2018 Shocking! Even though the after photos she's wearing makeup and her skin is smoothed over you can still tell what a change. Only thing is her nose looks really unnatural. Almost like Micheal Jackson 1986.
sheonlylooks25 Posted June 18, 2018 Posted June 18, 2018 I don't mind her nose. Hell if I can go from the before to this after, I will take it in a heartbeat! Now this is from Beauty Line. If I was this woman's husband it will be winner, winner chicken dinner. He would feel like he's traded in his halmeoni (granny) for a new babe. The rest of Beauty Line's thread lifts are just so-so but this one is fabulous. I believe she had fat grafting etc too.
sheonlylooks25 Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 This is from Uvom. She was on a TV reality makeover show.
phoebebuffey Posted July 5, 2018 Posted July 5, 2018 Do you have any contact info for ASPS?? I'm on their site and don't see an email, Kakao, Line, or even a Facebook page... ):
catelet Posted July 9, 2018 Posted July 9, 2018 Think I found it. http://en.asps.co.kr/info/info02.asp
polyglot Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 Hi Springmorning I, too, am seriously looking into getting a facelift done in Korea at the end of this year. I had some of my pics sent to Dr Lee at area88 Plastic Surgery. Apparently he is one of the best in his field, SMAS facelift. After reading Miss Orange’s comments, I would also like to consult Dr Lee at ASPS. I was wondering while you were in Korea in May, did you get a chance to see him and if you did, what are your thoughts? Cheers Poly
