He could have died already if his family didn't catch him when he is writing a suicide note.
His family is now in great pain because their happy son is now diagnosed with depression.
My fd is the kindest person I have ever met, he rather blamed it all on himself instead of accusing the doctor who failed him.

My fd did cheekbone and jawline reduction in YKPS and he said it was an experience from hell.
His cheekbones are now very uneven, before the surgery, both sides were little pop-out. After the surgery, one side was pushed in and the other side is pop-out even more. From the CT scan, the pop-out side is like that the bone is rotated outward, very different to the other side. The two sides of cheekbone are so differently like it's done by two different people.

Dr. Kim from YKPS said it's perfectly normal and it would go back to the right place after time and he refused to give my fd a fix. My fd then consulted another doctor and that doctor said it's impossible for that side of the cheekbone to magically fix itself, and also if that's normal then why aren't both sides popping out instead of just one side? That doctor said it's obviously because of a bad fixation at first place.

Apart from the uneven cheekbones, the cuts in front of the ears for cheekbones surgery left two very vivid and INDENTED scars. It's been more than a month and the scars are still very obvious like the first day. The stitching is very poorly done.

My fd chose YKPS not because it's cheap (only around 9 mil) but because he saw Dr Kim's video on Youtube and he thought only skillful and confident doctor would put their clip online. And it turned out to be the biggest joke to him.

According to my fd, he said YKPS is a very small clinic with a lot of practice that's different from what he saw online of other clinics, e.g. the doctor didn't draw any line on his face before he is put on anesthetic, communication on the surgery date is rather vague. He was asked to leave the clinic on the day of the surgery instead of staying over night because it was Saturday. His chin was bruise and bleeding due to overly-tight wrapping of bandage on the first day(this one is really crazy). The wound was only found on Monday which was 2 days after the surgery. When the nurse saw the bleeding wounds, they just wiped the blood and continued to put on that elastic band(the thing that people wear after FC) They didn't even tell the doctor. Until my fd caught a chance to see the doctor then told him what happened, then Dr Kim gave him wound dressings.

My fd still could not believe this experience has happened to him. Now thinking about it, he said Dr Kim seemed way too confident about his skills. My fd is not that kind of person who is obsessed with plastic surgery. He has been thinking about FC for 10 years to make this decision. And now he is so traumatized and so scared to meet anyone. Anything about Korea like Kpop, K drame, Seoul would cause him anxious and panic.

He feels terribly sorry for being such a disappointment to the family. He is not strongest man but he is man with a heart of gold and loved by people around him. I really don't want anyone to go through what he went through.

He should just get it fixed. Its not worth killing yourself. I had failed surgeries from TL PLASTIC Surgery. My nose became too short, my chin still has no feeling on the right side and I have a visible scar from my hairline lowering and I am still here. Life Goes on. That is good you are exposing the clinic to help prevent other people from suffering. .

I feel for yr friend. Pls show him more care and concern. Tell him never to give up. I’m contemplating fc ps myself but i’m hesitant due to my age and risks involved. There is always the possibility of botched ps even with the most experienced doctors. But we live in an appearance conscious society where looks really matters. It is more of conforming to society and survival that’s why more and more people are turning to ps.

I’m extremely sorry for what happened to your friend and am glad that you are telling us the clinic where this happened and how it happened. I have to admit I often get lulled into a false sense of security myself when the doctor has videos on YouTube, but now I realize it has nothing to do with the doctors actual skill... The CT says it all there is clearly a difference between the two cheekbones. Really scary since I am considering zygoma reduction myself and it is hard to know who to trust. I really hope your friend finds a way to get this fixed. It is not his fault this happened to him!

Please thank your friend for sharing his experience as he's saving other people from getting butchered at that clinic. Tell him not to lose hope as the problem is fixable. He should not beat himself up as that accomplishes nothing, rather do pro-active things like researching where to go to get it fixed, warning other people away from ykps, and seeking financial restitution from them for botching the surgery.

Please tell him it’s not his fault! He put his faith in a doctor and the DOCTOR screwed up, not him!!! Everything that happened to him is completely fixable and not worth throwing his life away! Especially over someone else’s mistake, it’s not his fault! Don’t let a doctors mistake ruin not only your life but your family’s life too

Thanks. I think more of these stories is actually what this forum needs. Too many shills positing misleading information and distorting the reality of surgery. It's important to name and shame these clinics so they do not think they can get away with it. Too often when people are botched, they blame themselves and writing a review is actually too traumatic.

I asked my fd to contact YKPS again today, and they still insisted that the surgery is "successful"
They said however if my fd insists, they can do some changes, but they are not willing to do it for free,
My fd said he won't trust YKPS and Dr Kim again and he will never step a foot into Korea again ever again.

Also, one of the reason my fd chose YKPS is because on their website, he saw Dr Kim was in some charity work to help out other children with facial defects.
That's why he thought Dr Kim is kind and could be trusted. How ironic?

Thank you for sharing your story. I was looking into revision and this clinic was on my list but I definitely won't be consulting with them after reading your friends experience. God bless him and I hope he know this can be fixed.

How is your friend now? I hope he's feeling and doing better. Judging from her Ct scan, I think he'll be able to fix

Update
The clinic insists the surgery is "successful" but they can "fix" for free for my friend.
We consulted another doctor and he said the fix would need general anesthesia cause the bone is healing and need to be cut open again. However, YKPS said it only needs sleep anesthesia. When we ask why not use general anesthesia, they ignored the question and stopped replying.

We then asked would the doctor cut open the bone again, after 3 days we got the reply "I'm not sure because I'm not a doctor"(seriously? so can't you ask?!) and now it's past days and still no further reply. Before the surgery, they always answer on the same day.

Me and my fds' sister both agree this clinic is unreliable, plus my fd is so traumatized and hates Korea so much. We decided even it's for free. We still would not choose this clinic again. We are now considering the clinics in Taiwan.

oh dear.... I feel so sorry for your friend and I think you are right... it's better to find another place to proceed a revision, staff and doctors with alike attitude is not what we are tourists waiting from them but unfortunately face it quite often and I understand you and your friend 100%! try other places, not one or two, several... consultation should always be free as far as I know and be strong! I wish you and your friend patience and patience...
