Beware of "Real Story/Real Diary" type of reviews especially on SoYoung

Recommended Posts

Most of the reviews are written by hired shills. For example, I have seen the same exact before after pictures used on more than two different reviews and the name of the individual that underwent plastic surgery has always been different. For e.g., review on SoYoung she's named Jane but on another site, she's named Alice.

Thanks for warning us! Yeah I also found it sudpicious that someone would want to post detailed diaries, with regular updates up until years, yet claimed to receive no compensation

Soyoung is a whole lot more reliable than this website. Most Korean clinics know about purse forum and many consultants go undercover here. Some people on Soyoung might be sponsored but atleast you can see their before and afters. Screw the commentary or personal stories .

I don't think you understand, Jasminx was warning us that the same exact pictures are being credited to two different clinics/plastic surgeons on soyoung. That's why no one really knows which clinic in China is actually good.

But, if you have had a great surgery experience in China. Do post your experience here and let us know where it was, so others can go.

I agree, I've noticed a very thorough format of writing about some clinic's which goes into so much detail about how good and kind everyone was, how fantastic the surgeon was spending 2 hours going through every detail, that's when I became suspicious, realistically I don't think any busy surgeon would spend that much time on a consultation even if it was the queen of England!

There are quite a few SK clinics who only do one surgery a day and are booked solid. That's because they do exquisite work and can charge an above average price. They aren't interested in quantity, but quality. It's like a mechanic. Scam mechanics just want your money quick for shoddy work and disappear in the night. Good mechanics charge a decent price and do work that makes you come back and recommend them to others.

May I ask which clinics they are? I've only heard about Dr Paik at 101 PS that do 1 surgery per day and yet booked solid, but none other sadly

You can look on the board for that. I was going to put clinics, but I honestly don't feel like fielding questions about the them or being accused of being a promoter.

It's so sad, everyone is on purseblog asking for clinic recommendations and where to go for the best rhino or v-line.

But meanwhile, if someone posts they had a good result with a clinic. A nasty useless troll can accuse the person of being a promoter.
