littlepigeon Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 I am a Chinese American living in the USA. I'm interested in going to Korea, maybe Thailand, because of cost and because I want a doctor that is very familiar with Asian bone structure. For the nose, I want a higher bridge and maybe tip. I also have a very weak chin. Ideally I would like to get both done at the same time, but I know Purseforum recommends to avoid very big hospitals, so is there anywhere good I can go to do both? If not, I am okay with just fixing my chin/jaw, since it bothers me more. Can you recommend any places that are safe and good quality in Korea or Thailand? Thank you in advance.
loserkid Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 I would say to research more in Thailand too. I am a Male and I wanted to do rhinoplasty in Thailand too but after looking at their before and after I feel they provide a different aesthetic look than what I was looking before because if you take a look, the Thailand and Korean plastic surgeons have kind of a different style of noses that they tend to produce. Remember, you get what you pay for.
honeyboob00 Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 From your description, im pretty sure your nose would require silicon bridge (give you your desired height) and ear cartilage tip (to define your nose tip). If you want more dimension to your nose, you may even consider extending your columellar with donor's rib implant. if you oppose to the idea of having a foreigner's rib inside you, you can harvest your own rib which will cost you even more. These 3 implants will cost you a lot especially if you are going to bigger and more commercialised clinics/hospitals. I cant give you advice on which clinics to go, i wont recommend you the clinic i went to as i dont have the most satisfactory nose lol, but i can give you a gauge on which area of your nose should be looking to fix. Thailand would give a more, westernised-looking nose, and since you live in the US you may prefer a more defined-looking nose. Thai noses, for some reason, their nose tips tend to defy gravity lol. Most Korean noses always droop over time, my friend did with this clinic costing her almost 8K USD and still had her nose tip drooped. As for your chin, it is important to match a defined nose with a proper chin. If you say that your chin is "weak", then a newly restructured defined nose will not compliment your look. Are you sure you have "weak chin" or a "weak jaw"? Weak chin can be fixed with chin implant or chin augmentation for which i would highly recommend you to choose the latter. If you have a "weak jaw", that would require more invasive surgery (which will be costly), would have to do ASO/Single jaw surgery, where they surgically break your lower jaw, push it outwards and fixate it with screws.
