My Plastic Surgery Journey (with pictures) at the View

Recommended Posts

Hi guys! Since you all helped me so much with choosing which clinic to go to, I decided to create a thread about my upcoming plastic surgery at the View Clinic. As I stated in other posts, I considered so many clinics, some being Me Clinic, JK, Wonjin, Cinderella, Dream, and the Line. Ultimately, I decided put down my deposit with the View clinic because although it was at a higher price than some of the other clinics I was considering, I liked the look for the before and afters and also I liked that they hadn't had any medical accidents for thirteen years (maybe it's higher, I forget) because I really don't feel like dying in two days. Also the reviews on the View have been generally favorable. I'm also going to put up some pictures of my nose before and hopefully after, as well as my breasts before and after. Sorry it's so close up, I'm a little cautious because I don't want to give away my identity.
My nose as you will see is currently very bulbous so I'm getting rhinoplasty with alar reduction. My breasts are pretty much nonexistent (you've probably had mosquito bites larger than my breasts let's be honest), I think they are AA size or less. I'm really really nervous to see what will happen to me because I've lived with my nose and boobs for so long and in three days they'll be forever altered!
The reason I'm getting plastic surgery is because my nose is way too large for my facial structure, which a lot of my asian relatives have told me endlessly. Also, I really want to have bigger boobs than any guys I date in the future, and currently any remotely chubby guy with a little bit of moobs probably has the same amount of breast tissue as me. So here I am getting plastic surgery on the 20th!
If you guys have any questions feel free to ask because I've asked so many questions on the forum!
Also I forgot to mention this, but I'm getting Allergan tear drop shape implants because they're FDA approved and I like the shape.

If any of you guys reading this have any recommendations on what korean dermatology products I should buy to get rid of my acne (I have small pimples as you can tell by my nose, and huge pores that fill up with waxy substances), I would be so grateful because my skin is so oily and not smooth.

Sorry guys, I've gotten lazy with posting . Well, my skin still sucks, but yeah I got the surgery. The past couple days I've been pretty tired and recovering from the surgery, and plus my nose was in a cast. Overall, I'm pretty happy with View. It was a bigger place then I expected (15 stories!), I didn't get that factory vibe from it. When I came in for the consultation, it wasn't rushed at all and I saw a few other people there (mostly Korean, but some from China. Everyone I saw was from an Asian descent). Anyways, I paid my deposit online back when I was in America, because I was only going to be in Korea for a limited time and I wanted to make sure I had a slot for surgery. View actually picked me up from the airport and sent me and my mom to our hotel (the driver was pretty kind and I liked his purple hat that said "Stay Viewtiful" or something like that). At the clinic, we did an ultrasound check for breasts, blood tests, checked weight for anesthesia, EKG test, and a few other routine procedures (I think X-ray also). The day before the surgery was really rough on me, because suddenly I kind of was regretting wanting to get plastic surgery. After all, I was born with a working nose and body, and it felt like I was rejecting the nose my parents have given me. But I already paid everything and I ended up going through with the surgery.

I was also super scared that I would die from anesthesia or wake up from anesthesia mid-surgery (maybe watched too many scary Shane Dawson videos lol). This was actually one of the reasons I picked View, because View stated that there had been no medical accidents within the past thirteen years. They proudly showcased that as well because every consultant had a pin saying "No medical accidents" or something like that. When they injected me with anesthesia, I felt like I was breathing it in but it was through the veins. Then I woke up groggily, with an awful dry feeling in my throat. The nurses helped lead me to the recovery room, where I stayed the night. I think the worst part of the surgery was my throat being so damn dry. I would wake up constantly and my throat would be insanely dry, and no matter how much water I drank I was dehydrated. The night I stayed at the hospital was otherwise painless, and the nurse came to visit super constantly, emptying the blood that filtered into a plastic thingy, and also giving me pain medication and replacing the IV bag. She didn't understand english except for a couple of key terms, but I was so grateful for her.

After that night, I went home after they fitted me into a weird bra and gave me pills to take. I think it ended up being like 10 pills a day (filtered into morning, evening, and night). The first few days I was so thankful I was eating them because they helped me not feel awful, but now I'm still eating them even though I feel completely fine. We arranged for another visit two days later, where they cleaned my nose up and made it so I could breathe out of my nose (that really helped too, because the first few days they clog up your nose and your nose continually bleeds, or maybe that's just me lol). My nose was in a cast for seven days, and on the seventh day they finally removed the cast. When I initially looked at my nose, I was kind of scared because I was like "oh shoot, now my friends will definitely know I had a nose job and I can't hide my procedure" but overall I was happy with my nose. For my breasts, I got FDA approved Mentor implants. I originally was going to go with Allegan teardrop implants but the doctor told me that there was a higher rate of capsular contracture with Allergan because of some kind of double thing they had? The doctor was really against Allergan and it kind of scared me so I picked Mentor instead. I would advise anyone else thinking about breast implants to get FDA approved ones because after all they are foreign objects that are staying in your breasts for a long time, and you want to be as safe as possible. I ended up getting 255cc because I didn't want them too big, just big enough so that I could feel normal and girly. I'm not sure what my cup size is now, but I'm definitely happy with the results. If anyone is wondering, I did get it under the muscle. The whole surgery for breasts took under an hour, while the surgery for nose was a lot longer (maybe two hours?).

So in conclusion for my breasts I got 255cc Mentor implants, and for my nose I got rhinoplasty with alar reduction and I'm pretty sure I also got my nose bone broken and squished in. I'll also note that I can now breathe a lot better for some weird reason, even though my nose is smaller?
For my doctors, I went to Dr. Dong Chan Lee for rhinoplasty and Dr. Choi for breasts. I really liked both of them, they were both super nice and didn't try to push any other surgeries on me.
For debating the price of the surgery, I was surprised at how easy it was because I've heard on this blog that when some people put down a deposit, the clinic tries to raise the price of the surgery because they know you're into them and they want more money. The cost of the surgery ended up being the same discussed online. (I got a 20% reduction because the surgeries were together). It might be because I paid a decent amount of money, as I'm a foreigner, but I'd rather spend a little more money then risk my life or risk having to fix my nose or breasts again. I just wanted it to be perfect the first time. And looking at my nose/breasts after day eight, I don't think I'm going to redo either procedure, because I'm pretty satisfied with the results.

I was able to recover after the 4th day, and I walked around my hotel and also went outside for a bit on the 4th day. 8 days later, nothing hurts (nipples feel a bit sore). Swelling is still in the nose, but apparently I won't get the full result until a couple of months later. My undereyes got super bruised after surgery, and I still have a bit of yellow under each of my eyes, but that can be easily masked with some concealer.
I've had two visits to View after my surgery. The first time, they checked my breasts and took out the stuff clogging my nose. The second time, they fitted me for a new bra and took out the stitches in my nose (that hurt, I started crying, but at least it didn't take too long). I also got went to floor 14, the dermatology floor, where they pampered my nose with a nose mask and then some kind of nose treatment (this was apparently included in the costs of the procedure.
The consultants there can speak english really well (I asked how some of them learned english, and the ones I asked said that they learned from studying in the US). They were able to translate any questions you wanted to ask the doctors. I really liked my consultant Jessica, but apparently she's leaving soon because she's only here for a gap year.
