Hi everyone! Long time lurker finally made my own thread!

I am getting a v-line surgery done in October in Korea and i was wondering if anyone has any tips and tricks on post op care! My main concerns are:
1. Infection: how to decrease my chances of it?
2. Swelling: how to decrease swelling through diet and exercise? Or anything else like vitamins/supplements/compression garments/ice and heat pads/ect. (Very open to options since I have job interviews around 15 days after the surgery annnndddd there is only so much that makeup can help)

I have had Pumpkin Juice (2 packs every day) and Pumpkin Porridge (once every day) last time i was in Korea for eyelid surgery but i don’t think they had any effects? I was still pretty swollen at 2 weeks. Or perhaps i need to buy a better brand?

Anything helps! Thanks

I think infections aren't very common at all with bone-based surgeries. If you go to a clean, reputable clinic, I think you should be ok not to worry about the risk of infections. I would be more worried about that possibility if you were getting a chin implant or whatnot. And if you keep your oral incisions clean (soft toothbrush, soft foods, gargling solutions), you should be more than ok. (^^)

As for swelling, I think at the 2 week mark, your face would be puffy but to strangers, I don't think that they would really take notice. I'm not really sure what you can do to really quicken the rate of deswelling apart from the compression bandage, not lying on your back, icing your cheeks, and just doing some light exercise.
