grace01 Posted September 28, 2018 Posted September 28, 2018 Hi I'm pretty set on getting a jaw setback and rhinoplasty and I've even written to docfinder and banobagi. But I'm very confused about whether I should get my jaw surgery done in India (where I live) by a proper maxillofacial surgeon and then do rhino in korea or just get both done in korea. I wore braces when I was 13 and because of my underbite the orthodontist made it so that the lower teeth are inward facing so that the upper line could be in front of the lower ones (I'm including a pic of my side profile and a drawing of what it looks like). Because I would be required to wear braces and get check up done every so often after the surgery, I was wondering if maybe I should get it done at home. Its not just for dental reasons but also for my own vanity lol. I hate the way I look when I smile so I've gotten used to controlling my smile or covering my mouth area when I do. My concerns are: ~ braces after jaw surgery would need to be checked (I could get braces in India after surgery in korea though) ~ Korean plastic surgeons would be more concerned about aesthetics than my dental issues (stiffness and pain below ears sometimes - TMJ) I'm very confused so if anyone could just give me advice, I would be so grateful. I don't know who to ask.
