Sagging will always happen with zygoma reduction. 100%. Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying. But it may or may not be noticeable depending on your skin type. The premature aging as a result may or may not be worth it. But there is a trade off. Please please reconsider. It is impossible to fix once sagging occurs.
I consulted with a craniofacial surgeon who also advised to use bone grafts to fill in the gap and reverse the zygoma reduction to bring the frame back to my face. Have you found a solution similar? I think i'm going to go ahead with this procedure.
Has anyone gotten jawline implants or reconstruction for botched facial contouring from H clinic, (Dr. Baek)? Please help! I want to find out more information from him and his work before proceeding with surgery.
I made a similar mistake to yours and regret my FC surgery every day of my life. Where did you go to get your implants and are you happy with the results? Please help! --thank you!
I know. I'm in the same boat. Postop 8 months and I have severe sagging from zygoma reduction. Dr. choi at TL Plastic surgery did this to me too. I wished I had known the consequences and now there's nothing I can do to fix it.
Has anyone been able to successfully reverse zygoma reduction? Is this feasible? I had the procedure done 6 months ago at TL Plastic Surgery (TLPS) and regret it for many reasons (including complications). I've heard of H Clinic in Korea, but does anyone know of any doctors in the US that would be worth consulting with? Any leads will help. Thank you in advance!
I sent you a private message, but I could ask the question here too.
I am seeking out zygoma reduction reconstruction too and I wanted to ask if the doctor repositioned your zygoma arch and malar back to its original anatomical position by pinning them together or did he have to place an implant to make up for the resected bone? Do you look like your pre-surgery self in terms of the cheekbones?
Honestly, learn to cover your cheekbones with your hair and different hairstyles. It's not worth it to even try to do surgical procedures for cheekbone reduction. You can't go back on it if you find that it doesn't suit you. Additionally, it comes with so many complications--you don't even know, no matter how skilled the surgeon is, anything could go wrong. Everyday, I wish I had someone warn me about this before I took that trip to Korea. I would've never let anyone there touch my face.
My advice if it's facial surgery: don't do it!! If it goes wrong, which you have a 50/50 chance of it going wrong in SK, there's no turning back. It'd never be the same and it'd be very challenging to fix. You'll end up regretting it. This happened to me.
I have followed your story on realself and on this forum. I know you are real and I applaud you for warning others. I, too, am suffering from poor surgery in Korea. Would you recommend the doctor you went to for the revision? Did he manage to fix your sagging ?
Thank you so much for sharing your journey! I can relate so much to it. I wish I had read this post 4 months ago when I went to have surgery for facial contouring. I am now living in regrets and wish I can have my old face back too as the new smaller shape simply doesn't suit me. I also have sagging and loose skin. May I ask you where you're getting your custom implants and reconstructive surgery? I am researching on reconstructive surgery as well...
