  1. sesamekiss,
thank you so much for writing about your experience. i love that you write so thoroughly! also i am very happy for you that you're happy so far and hope it continues to heal well!
i have a question though... i noticed your tip is much more pointed up now and i know it's swelling and in fact, it looks cute on you... but i don't have a "cute" face like yours actually and the pointed up would not look good on me so was wondering if this is what you discussed with dr. suh and he did it as you agreed on or something? i am worried that a cute nose won't fit me because i'm so used to my not cute nose. hahaa. thank you again ^^!
    happy healing! ^^ :flowers:

  2. hey, hongkongphooey! welcome back!

obviously every clinic will differ in pricing and everything (which you're already more than aware of), but for giving a starting point at least, you can check out this price list for teuim clinic:
    http://english.teuimps.co.kr/english/05_community/community03.html

when searching the page for "dimple," it says: "cheek dimple one side 300,000 krw; cheek dimple both sides 600,000 krw"

    hope this helps!!!

p.s., thanks for being so informative and helpful to forummers in the past - i remember! ;)

  3. hey, bumb, welcome!

april_may has been really helpful here and sharing and we are really grateful and i'm not sure if you know you need to "request" to be a "friend"/contact to be able to view the albums - try clicking on her username and seeing the options list to find this! hope this helps.

  4. april_may,

  5. kkim120 - thank you so much for sending out your pics! it really helps to see a real patient's results from jw... even though i like the examples on their website, it just helps to see someone's results whose story you've been following online... you're so cute, by the way...! my nose is not that cute, erm, not as cute as yours. haha. i'm glad to hear you're enjoying the results and all! i can see why. small change that made a nice difference in how your nose looks.

thank you, dear! for keeping in touch and your helpful posts here and pics. happy healing continued!

  8. nono worries, cocomo! i'm so glad you found it informative too! for me, it'm one of those people that want to KNOW what exactly they're gonna do hahahhh....... i know mydoctors must be so annoyed by meee jk!

    happy researching??? how's it gonig??

  9. hahahaa, aww, yours was probably a LOT less gruesome because it's really the bone works part that were a little hard to watch for me (i'm pretty hard to gross out for reference hahhah)....... and surgical thread doesn't really count as implant ! they're just holding things together ! oen of my good good friends has actually screws in her body from breaking bones so now i'm not sure how i feel....... still prefer no foreign obejcts left inside me from surgery if i get any though hahaaaaa...

happy healing kkkkkkkkkkkkkim120! you seem like such a fun person!

  10. aww, thanks the reply! you sound like such a a sweetheart for sure...... hope the results are exactly that you hoped for!......

thx for the advice too,.. ahh! i am so scared of makign the decision that i THINK i want to make(??)(!) hahahaaaaaaaaaaa...

    stay beautiful~~

  11. oh babe! hope you are healing up well :flowers:!

sorry to hear about that... but from what i was reading online ("schedules" for patient visit for recovery after surgery to plan how long i would stay in korea) seems to be that some surgeries req longer stay?

did that guy get lipo or something like that? not sure which surgeries but apparently some req long stay......

like when i was researchingg rhino but that does not req hospital stay unless i do rib... but then when i wanted cheekbone they said i would stay in the hospital overnight that same night.......

hopefully they didn't mean to be unfair to you..... you seem quite nice like veryone else here too...!!!!!!

and about the prices, i am not sure... i was reading the singaporean cozycot forum on cheekbone reduction and they mentioned sometimes they will charge higher... or sometimes there are sales or promotion but only for domestic people...... sorry i hav no experience...... also i have no bargaining ezperience! not bargained for anything in my life because i never learned how, even when i went for vacation in asia ... am i supposed to? like do they list prices expecting that?

hug babe....... and wowowee you did it!!!!! are you happy?????? hope so!

  12. oh gosh my dear! hahah, so sorry about that... hope your meal was not spoilt :flowers: lol!

and glad to share! this forum has been so useful and friendly. never knew there was videos of it online so glad to share it when i foudn it. it's always good to know what they're going to be doing exactly while we are knocked out :roflmfao:! after seeing that, i can definitely see where all the swellingg can comes from.......!

  13. the other thread (best plastic clinics in seoul?) was moving faster before! lots of friendly people there too...

oh! i think i was confused a little bit by between you and someone but straighed out now ! i want same height bridge as right now but smoother... but do not want implant at all... trying to find doctor for this... hoping your search is going well? yah, definitely like me not realizing before, i would definitely ask the doctor about, for exmple, one result i really like if it used silicon or not...

but since i might need implant, my order would be: rib > silicon> goretex... but really i dont want any... dont know what to do! donated rib has too much absorption form what i heard... and also creepy (i'm a scaredy cat haha)

i was looking at dr. wang's page and agree his results look impressive! esp since it's rib, right? very nice... and although i would be hesitant to go to china too, i would personally consider it if my dream doctor is there^^! just have to be safe and check the doctor credentials... the danger is if the person is not licensed, i think... if they are a truly good doctor, it should be a good choice wherever they are! however, for my own case, the pictures on his site don't really show fixing the kind of problems i have (unsmooth bridge, crooked, high wide nose) but more augmentation... but his aug results look good! also looks like no photoshopping OR very good photoshopping??! !!!:roflmfao: hahaa... but seriously, YET ANOTHER ISSUE is how do i know what photoshopping the before&after photos have, aiyahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, hahaaah........

for me, right now, my search is korean clinics... for one reason buecause there are SO MANY... so say i arrive in seoul... visit the doc i want to see but we don't "click"......... then i can still at least consult other ones in the area maybe......... also considered dr. kao too!

OH! have you considered dr. kao? i emailed him once and he seems very genuine........ no personal exp though...... but people seem to write good things about him online...... in taiwan.......

i don't have a set date yet... whenver i get the guts :graucho:! hahah... do you have a set date or window?

i keep not being able to reach decision . trying to figure it out and hopefully just do this ONE AND DONE and for it to be satisfactory  what we ALL want, right ?

  14. hihi! not sure if you quoted my message by mistake but i was just researching this clinic a few days ago (or was on their website). haven't had any exp with, of co... i was trying to make a list to narrow down but it just got bigger! it's in the same area in seoul as a lot of other clinics between abgujeong and sinsa stations so i think most of the hotels people mention here would be suitable... many hotel booking websites will let you search by area so search for gangnam (kangnam) or abgujeong (apgujung, abgujung) or sinsa (shinsa). just watch out for diff spelling, aiyah! headache for me too :roflmfao:!

edit: sorry, re-read your message and am a little confused! you already went? hope you are well !

  15. hey, london_chick!! oh, thx for this... i think that would be exactly how it would have to go for me to actually go through with this since i'm such a big fraidy cat! just book and go. hahah :roflmfao:... i can definitely feel all the sentiment in what you wrote... thanks for that... helps put my feelings into perspective... hugs to you babe!

i haven't booked just yet but am looking into after chuseok right now... it would be tight... i had 2 weeks earlier that i could've gone but went on vacation with my friends instead ...

i definitely understand that you would miss seoul!!! but (from your name) you are going back to london, right? also a big city with lots of fun ... for me, it would be a much smaller city so london or seoul, i'll take it! haha :roflmfao:

i also agree the camaraderie on this thread is awesome...

have a great rest of your time in seoul and happy healing continued~ dear!! :flowers:

  16. hey there, TAEYANG . ohh, how i wish that were true haha. jush joking! well, am just as glad to get a message from you too  since it seems like we share some similar concerns... also, you seem to be like me in doing a LOAD of research before making decision ;)... it`s been so many years for me now... what is the current state of your decision? who are you looking seriously into now?

i also considered getitng my radix raised too but my forehead is not very high and it would look so out of place . is it an option for you? and yes, osteotomy required for sure on my case too... one of the things all the surgeons also agree on :roflmfao:...

i asked a few surgeons about whether i would need an implant and they mostly said i have a lot of height so it's not necessary BUT that it would give me more of a sort of "star" look if i do... AIYAHHh, what to do. hahah. also, every time i look at before&afters now, i always suspect the ones i like DO use implant... i never noticed before and just assumed the doctor was REALLY good at straightening the nose (:roflmfao:) but now that i have been researching for so long, i realize that the extremely straight and "perfect" look must be from implant...

so, that makes it even harder to decide on doctor!

    and my issue #2...
while the big clinics seem reliable, also may not know for sure who will operate on you out of the 10 or 20 or 30 surgeons there... of course, i think you get to meet them before surgery but not early on in the decision-making process... like right now... if i like a result i see, i don't know which dctor pefformed it...

    gahh, amiright? :roflmfao: again. hahaa...

let's keep in touch for our search!

  17. @kichichan1/ kichichan,

babe! sorry to hear! oh no, your posts were very informative! and to me, sounded very honest so perhaps it was all just a misunderstanding? anyway, i just wanted to log in and say "thank you" formally... so thank you for the posts about your experience. i think i have some similar problems (little hump, need osteotomy, things like that) so thank you.

i'm worried about the same thing now... it seems like i see all these nice pictures on clinic websites but i don't know which one of them use implant after they cut/ rasp the hump or do osteotomy because i can't read korean ! so sometimes i can't figure out which websites make nice noses from naturally using no implant or by using implant... seems like implants make very "defined" noses, which look good... but i don't want implant ... and i never ever thought i would have to consider having one... because my nose is big/ high (hump) T_T...

good luck, kichichan1/ kichichan!... hugs, dearie...

ps- mind my asking (only if you are comfortable!!!) if you are ok with sharing pics? pm me or email y.elisa (at) rocketmail (dot) com... thank you and best wishes, babe.......

  18. hi and welcome, fuzzyling!
just wanted to say that if your surgery day is sep 20 and you have to be back at work sep 25, you might still have cast/ taping/ stitches! it depends on what you get done though and you might have it removed sooner but usually i hear from patient stories that cast/ taping stitches is removed day 5-7 and sometimes even day 10 (like alar stithces).

although maybe hte doctor is removing it earlier for you? not sure if that's preferable thgouh >.<. definitely check if you need to make travel and accomm plans! good luck!

  19. dan4me :giggles::heart:, thank you~

    and FOR REAL,
i've been following this thread and the "asian nose job 3" thread and you have been SO PATIENT AND KIND TO EVERYONE -- whether it's photo request or questions (that i know newcomers weren't familiar with your procedures, etc.) and i just hope you know that it's so nice of you~~

as you've heard before many times ;), you look beautiful~~!

i also think you were cute to begin with and the procedures just brought out your good points even more! congrats and best wishes for continued happy healing, sweetie!!!

  20. @ sesamekiss,
about wearing glasses after surgeries, i think you can still wear them if you keep them off the bridge of your nose by taping them to your forehead? the part in between the two lenses, use tape to hold it off your nose by taping to your forehead? that way at least you can see while healing (watch tv, etc., lol)! hope this helps .

    you must be so excited!!!
