  1. I personally don't believe any full-paying customer of plastic surgery will 100% support and think of their clinic as perfect and go all out to speak out about them.

Even for myself having had a successful surgery, i also refrain from over promoting the clinic I went to. Because though they did a gd job for me, I can't be certain they will also go all out to help me should something bad happens. (Not that anything bad happened, of course)

  2. This local price is really much cheaper. DES alone for foreigner will be 1.6-2M won for the average pricing..

  3. U know korean, there's a lot of promotions for locals in korean, perhaps u can also use some of these brochures to ask for further discounts

  4. Revisional double eyelid surgery seems to be significantly more expensive than primary..

  5. Ah I see, thanks!

The consultant also replied that I'm healing well and the scab will gradually subside over next few months.

  6. Oh no, hope everything turns out well for u..will they offer free revision?

Yea my eyes are originally rather close together too. And after my surgery I read that epi and lateral cantho scar can be quite obvious too.

  7. Wow, I should have waited to ask u to help with my surgery Haah. I just did my eyelids in March.. I'm also quite flabbergasted at the disparity in prices between foreigners and locals. I mean it can go up to 2x the amount ??! That's fleecing man, they know they can get away with it so they continue doing it. I mean if it's 10-25% higher I still think it's fine ..

  8. Just did my incisional DES with pitangui recently, by now 2 weeks post op. Everything seems good so far.

Like many who commented before, they do have the standard after op dressings but I didn't meet with the doctor Dr Yoo after my op, and they also don't give some of the extra things like pumpkin juice, antiseptic ointment (I did asked for this but the lady said there's no need for it). I ended up trying to look for pumpkin juice at the lotte marts and failing to lol, settled for pumpkin porridge and other fruit juices instead.

All in all it's reasonably priced, and rather no-frills.

3rd floor is for consultation & dressings while 4th is for dressing & surgery room / resting area. I actually overheard e lady telling another person that the doc told her that she is okay to leave now to further rest at home.

  9. Unless you're korean you'll end up in the winding general queue, then it really depends on luck to see if you can clear customs faster.

I touched down around 10+pm, cleared customs and managed to get on the airport train to town. However for me I had to take a tram within the airport area in order to reach the main airport. So likewise when I flew home I realised after clearing customs I had to take the tram to my boarding gate which was right at the end of the building. So do note to cater extra time for such long distance..

  10. That's gd to hear, thanks !

Patiently waiting for my eyelids to de-swell and see the more natural look.

Interestingly though, my doc recommended I only needed to do DES without epi or cutting of the sides..

  11. Quick question, is it normal to have some "wetness" or oil stuck at the wound area after DES?

I did my surgery about 1.5 wks back, incisional.. According to my consultant I can already wash my face with warm water and I do that lightly, and she also said theres no need for me to apply any ointment on the wound, any cream should be applied one more week later.

Oh I'm naturally having oily skin so could it just be natural oils - will that pose a big problem leading to infection ?

Many thanks to anyone who can help me with this

  12. For DES I guess by right you're not supposed to feel any pain as you'll be sedated and then administered local anesthesia. For me it was the aftermath swelling and tearing that is more uncomfortable than painful.

I do agree that im pretty sure my surgeon is the same one as I was asked to open and close my eyes numerous times and I saw the same surgeon face looking back at me, his voice sounds the same throughout too.

Gd that at the end you had gd results

  13. Both were very nice although I could sense that doctors were super busy so there's only a small pocket of time I could talk to them.

TL consultant even told me about her own experiences when it comes to plastic surgery.. Actually cos I didn't ask item's consultant if she did plastic before as she's so pretty. All of them are pretty in fact.. Makes me feel like a small ugly duckling lol

Anyway today is day after surgery and just like what I've read here and elsewhere before, my eyes are so swollen..

  14. I've just had my surgery today at pitangui after going for 3 consultations yesterday, I also asked for nose surgery prices but didn't go through with it. Here are my 3:

Foreword: all consultants knew English, and docs were v nice though docs were v. quickly done with their consultations. Apparently all thought I just needed the normal DES and not epicantplasty or lateral incisions. Their prices are also similar to what was stated in their email quote (all prices are in KRW)

    Item:
Nose (alarplasty, nose tip, implant along nose, reduce nose base) - 4.18M
    Double eyelids surgery - 1.65M
    Total: 6M

    TL PS:
Nose (alarplasty, nose tip, implant along nose) - 3+M? They didn't recommend nose bone reduction cos they said if I reduce it it may look too inproportionate
    Double eyelids surgery - 1.7M?
    Total: 5M
The doctor recommended subbrow lift and consultant recommended eyebag removal as she herself did it cos she felt we could look more refreshed after that. So for the lift & nose surgery it's also 5M.
    If it's eyebrow lift & eyebag removal it's 2.5M

    Pitangui:
Nose (alarplasty, nose tip, implant along nose) - 3.5M
    DES: 1.2M
    Total: 4.6M

If I add the bone reduction it's 5M
    Double eyelids surgery - 1.2M
    Total: 6M

My final decision: DES and eyebag removal: 2.4M

I went to the surgery and waited around an hour for my surgery, by the time I'm out and ready to go it's 3pm already.

Now my eyes are just swollen, and I recommend to stay in gangnam or nearby so you don't have to travel too far to your hotel. And good to have someone to accompany you. If I remember correctly pitangui even offers pickup though I didn't use it.
