  1. I'm still hoping to make early April work out for me so just added myself. Hope I copied the latest version.

Would love to meet/hang out with some other forumers while I'm there!

  2. I totally agree. I won't be making a decision until I meet with every clinic and make a decision. I would give it at least a day or two and schedule surgery only and when I have come to a decision.

Also, even the best surgeons can make mistakes, and you should keep this is mind. There is some luck involved in having a good outcome. We can control only so much. That's why in the end, I think it's worth it to be cautious and conservative in our expectations.

With those that feel they have a bad result, hang in there. There are some things that you can tell early on that indicate a suboptimal result (and should definitely contact the doctor about), but know that ultimately even those things will have some improvement and soften over time so I wouldn't rush a revision either, especially with the same doctor. A revision should be thought over as carefully as primary surgery, I think.

  3. Interesting, Z told me a week ago that she was free in early April (when I planned to go), but then cancelled a few days ago when I confirmed with specific dates so that I could schedule my flight. But now, I wonder if maybe she is looking for patients who would be having more work done than eyelid surgery (if commissions are involved). Plus, she suggested Teium and it wasn't initially on my list until I found a lot of info from this thread.

N indicated she was booked for the entire month as well. I do wish there were more translators that we could call upon. I think I'm less worried about the consults than I am in confirming appointments (and/or surgery) with all of the clinics (IOU, Teium, Bando/Bio, Eye Magic).

I've read most of this thread in the last couple of days, and from what I gathered, April was supposed to be less busy. So thanks for confirming this. I've waited several years to correct my eyes, and now that I have some time to do this, I don't want to wait a minute longer.

I've contacted IOU and Teium via email and am waiting for a reply. I could use some help in getting the right contact for BIO and Eye Magic though. For any Forum members in Korea right now, I'd appreciate any info on contacting these clinics.

  4. I'm wondering if April is a busy time in general (despite the small list we've been updating), as the translators are fully booked. I was hoping on going in early April, but I wonder if I can manage it alone and on somewhat short notice. I speak some Korean, but the technical terms could easily bypass me.

Any tips on reaching the above doctors and clinics would be greatly appreciated.

  5. Hi Cherryzz, I've sent you an email. Are you in Korea now? Would love to hear how it's going over there and whether you've selected a surgeon.

It looks like in the other thread you had some questions on fat grafting and the longevity of the fat. Did you ever get a definitive answer? Since the graft is often done when lowering the eyelid to prevent adhesion so I'll probably need it as well.

  6. It looks like there are many people going to Seoul in April, in that all of the translators are booked. There aren't many people on the list we've been updating, so I'm wondering if April is a busy time in general?

I've waited several years in getting my eyes corrected, and don't want to wait any more. I'm wondering if I'll be able to pull this off alone and still go to Seoul in a couple of weeks. I can speak some Korean, but I'm not totally confident that I'll catch all of the technical terms.

Any advice or suggestions in reaching the clinics or doctors directly would be greatly appreciated. I've read more than 260 pages of the PS thread, which was helpful but confusing too!

  7. Hi, I'm new and am planning to go to Seoul in April for revisionary eyelid surgery. I would like to book consults with Dr. Kang from IOU, Dr. Cho from BIO, Dr. Lee from Eye Magic and Dr. Kwon from Teium. Does anyone have any experience with Dr. Lee from Eye Magic? Please share anything you might know.

I have an issue with retraction on one eye, which may be difficult to correct. Does anyone have experience in correcting this issue with a surgeon in Seoul? I would welcome your advice. Thanks in advance. I have posted this question in the revisionary eyelid surgery thread, but I see that people are also posting their experiences with eyelid surgery on this thread as well.

  8. Hi cherryzz,

I just sent you an email. I would like smaller and lower lids, but I also have some complications on each eye that would require a specialist. One eye has retraction and the other eye has mild ptosis. I pretty much gave up for a long time and stumbled upon this thread a few weeks ago.

I was hoping to hire a translator, but it looks like Zoe is booked. I can speak some Korean, but it would be great to have some help booking the consults. Is there another translator that people can recommend?

I am just starting to wade through the Plastic Surgery thread. Gee, that one is over 300 pages!

Does anyone know of a doctor that might be good in addressing the retraction issue? It looks like a lot of people have had ptosis correction, but I haven't yet seen anything on this issue.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can provide some advice. It's so great how we can help each other this way.

  10. Hi, I'm new and have followed this thread for a while. Thank you to everyone who offered their experiences. I plan to go to Seoul in April and wanted to consult with Dr. Kang at IOU, Dr. Cho at BIO, Dr. Lee at Eye Magic and Dr. Kwon at Teuim. Does anyone have experience with Dr. Lee and Dr. Kwon? I've read through the entire thread and haven't seen any comments or experience with Dr. Lee at Eye Magic, aside from the initial recommendation.

I'd like to share accommodations with someone if possible. I see Reneesyd will be April around the same time... Reneesyd?
