  1. noitsyou,
When it comes to choosing the doctor for your procedure, please consider the doctor's skill over the price. For now, you would feel good about saving some $$ but you would spend double that amount to have the revision later.
About the translator issues, most of clinic have in-house translator so you shouldn't worry too much about it.

  2. I think the Rhinoplasty distribute to the swelling as well. And you are still too early into the recovering process, just try to walk as much as you can, watch the sodium intake, sleep with your head elevated. Stay positive and you will be fine. Wishing you a speedy recovery.^^

  3. I had cheekbone reduction, rhinoplasty and full face fat graft with DA 3 weeks ago. I'm very happy with the result. Even though I'm still swollen but I could see the improvement. My face shape went from diamond to oval. My super duper bulbous nose is decent looking now. Overall, my experience with DA was good. (Please excuse my broken english ^_^)

  4. When I was there, the clinic was indeed busy. Most patients were Korean. However, they took their time to have a throughout consultation with me. Their English translator check on me everyday after surgery. I was able to see doctors for every check-up. They provided hair wash, deswelling treatment, deswelling shot (I was soooo swollen). I think they might be busy, but they are not turn into factory yet.

  5. qri,
When they said to bring USD to Seoul, I think they prefer it to the members come from the U.S. If you read through thread, you will notice that people strongly suggest to bring your home currency and exchange it in Seoul.

  6. How about bring Protein powder with you and ask them some water so that you can have some protein shake. I don't think there is any restriction for bringing protein powder in airplane.

  7. That's bad!! I want to have my cheekbone and nose done at the same place. Now with all these negative reviews about that nose doctor, I may have to look elsewhere.

  8. OMG, just from reading your post, I'm panic as well. Glad that it turned out ok. Wishing you a speedy recovery!!! ^_^

  9. I guess asking for very high price is TLPS style. ^_^
When I email them, they asked 16 mil for cheekbone reduction, Rhinoplasty and Fat graft (it's ridiculous expensive). After a little bargain, the price reduced to 10 mil.

  10. I actually have the same question and here is what I've found so far:

    Hope it help. ^_^

  11. Mai,
You are so cute!!! I would say you don't need any plastic surgery at all. But if you insist to enhance your feature, then a little work on your eyes will be enough. Anyway, it's just my opinion. Hope you don't find it annoyance. ^_^

  12. It's good to hear that. I really want to consult with Girin, but I cannot bring myself to hire a translator. I'm glad that they find a way around for us foreign customers. Peter, do you happen to have Girin contact information as well?
Thank you so much for your detail reviews and wishing you a speeding recovery!!!

  14. I remember about that "intern in training" story, too. There was a member from Australia post about it. She underwent Rhinoplasty at Shimmian. There were like 10 Chinese interns watching the Dr perform the surgery. She said that it was really uncomfortable to have too many people watching her (and who know if the Dr let the intern operated on her or not).
