  1. It is around. http://www.oscar-ps.com/. A tip for searching clinics on Google: name of clinic in english + 성형외과 or 클리닉. 성형외과 means plastic surgery hospital and 클리닉 means clinic.
Double skinny is kinda like coolsculpt but no pain and more advanced? I forgot the mechanics, but only some skincare clinics have it, I know Tam and DA do.

  2. He was the only one that pointed out I had a small bump on my bridge and suggest procedures similar to what I had in mind, he also put an emphasis on removing nose tip fat tissue, which turned out to be a huge improvement to my round tip before. His english was also fluent, he was very patient... just overall good vibes and attentive. Their Korean consultant was pushy tho.

    1. I did learn to read basic Korean alphabet so that I can have a basic idea of clinics' Korean websites and Naver Cafe. Lolipopswiss introduced me to her Korean friend so I had a local consultant with me. However, I feel like you can still get good prices if you show you did research and bargain well.
    2. I was very young to do FC, so I don't have any sagging right now.
    3. [IMG][IMG] you can see my original hair with white scalp, and the new hairline below. Doc lowered it about 2 fingers. He did a irregular and asymmetrical pattern design (not round all the way) so it's reaallly natural. I had a square hairline before, so the hair on the second pic is all transplanted. The survival rate is 90%+ as the doc said.

  3. Hi all, I'm back... don't know if anyone's currently here remember me from 2 years ago when I was heavily researching.
I did a lot of things and stayed 1.5 months in Korea. Let me start from the big ones.

DA [zygoma, v-line, t-osteotomy for chin, BA, whitening injections]
Before consulting DA, I went to iWell, TL, YK, and NJH. Initially DA quoted me 12mil for BA and 42mil for FC, which was ridiculous. So I left for smaller clinics to get something to bargain against.
    • iWell: bad customer experience, waited 30+ min at appointment time and didn't see the FC doctor, didn't remember anything else. I was quoted: 2mil non-incision double eyelid, 1.2mil epi, 4mil nose, BA 7mil
    • TL: the girls welcoming us there weren't as pretty... feels like a hospital. FC doctor didn't recommend v-line but suggested chin implant and Power C lipo, he also suggest complicated procedures for correcting my nipples, which were a bit apart. In addition to BA implant, he suggest fat transplant for betting "feeling", which I thought to be unnecessary. Quotes: 3D zygoma 5m, osteo 4m, chin implant 3m, power v 3m, 10m total for FC. BA + fat transplant + removal of accessory breast = 12m. 19m in total. The doctor was sincere tho.
    • NJH: the doctor didn't speak english and it was all local patient. He said there will be side effects to chin implants such as implant eroding the bone, which I was aware of. Doctor was very nice, but it'll be hard to communicate with them. Quotes: 10.45m FC, 7.7m BA (polytech implant).
    • YK: only one main doctor there and all local patient. He uses a wire to fixate the zygoma which is a less used method. Quotes: zygoma 4m, BA 7m (+ fat transplant 5.5m), chin + jaw 7.9m, non-incision double eyelid + front&back epi 3m; FC total 11.9m, BA total 10m, so 24.9m in total.
I used the lowest price I got to bargain at DA at got the deal! July 2015 was also MERS season so that helped.
    Before: [IMG][IMG]
    CT: [IMG]
    After: [IMG]
I showed Olivia Hussey's face to dr. Lee and saw him place a bunch of them at the surgery desk! I think he took out the buccal fat as well. I'm very satisfied with the result and the after care was superb.

    Maxwell [hairline transplant]
I only consulted 1 hair transplant clinic because it was awesome... I felt welcomed as a foreigner :') and was convinced at the consultation it was the one. 2500 hair for 4.5m, which was fair comparing to North American prices. I was young so he actually grafted 3500 hair w/o extra cost. I'd highly recommend this clinic to anyone! The consultant also was so caring, it was a shame she left that summer.

TOPCLASS [silicone bridge, nose tip reduction, open rhino with foreign rib cartilage on tip]
Sure, this is a highly promoted clinic among Chinese people, but I love the pics – they do great curvy noses! Dr. Kim the chubby one suggested fat graft on my forehead so that I can have a higher bridge as well, but I didn't want more procedure at the time so only got nose done. It's curvy and natural. I mean, if I want more Caucasian feeling to my nose years later, maybe I'll add some fat on my forehead and higher implant, but for now I'm satisfied. They quoted 4m and was adamant on the price. I complied as Dr. Kim explained patiently and I liked him and his surgery method. I also consulted:
    • Garosu: non-incision + front&back epi 3.6m, nose 6m. The consultant was very barbie-like pretty but I didn't click with them.
    • Ahn: a small clinic hidden in a building. I don't know if I'd recommend it as he suggested he may use medophor on tip. He also suggested cat surgery and nasal osteotomy which I didn't think I need. They do cute noses tho, and they're known for rhinoplasty. Quotes: 2m silicone bridge, 0.6m cartilage on tip, 0.3m osteo, 0.3m cat surgery, after discount total 3.4m.
    • Trend: one-surgery-per-day nose clinic. Doctor was really nice and said you may feel foreign object with cat surgery, and my nose didn't *require* osteo. He makes caucasian-like noses imo. Quotes: with osteo 5.5m, w/o 4m.
    • Fresh or Magic Nose: found it on Naver. Suggested alar reduction and will use laser to lighten the scar. He said my skin is tight and didn't need osteo and suggested similar plan to TOPCLASS. They were my fall back, and now sometimes I want to do alar... sigh. Anyways, they quoted 4.5m with free laser for 3 weeks.
    Nose: [IMG]
This was 2 weeks after, when the cast came off. I LOVE the curve of my nose and Dr. Kim did a great job reducing my fat nose tip. He eventually went with 3 millimeter silicone and I got a naturally tall bridge for asians. I mean, if I want to achieve instagram-star-like tall nose I still need some height... and I'm thinking about it, sigh. The nurses were commenting on me before surgery tho, which made me uncomfortable. The customer care was also meh, but the result was worth it.

    Oscar [non-incision, front&back epi, ptosis]
I showed a photo of parallel double eyelid and the doc completely achieved it. BE WARNED Oscar is only a cosmetic clinic and not a regular plastic surgery clinic. They explained the reason for it and I accepted it. My eyes do look better now. Tho I can only rate them 7 out of 10 due to some minor issues. My back (lateral) epi was pretty obvious for 1 year and uh, if you look really close you can tell my lateral eye corner is not natural, but the double eyelid is good. I don't know if I'd recommend this clinic. Quotes: non-incision 0.77m, ptosis 1.1m, front epi 0.66m, lateral epi and lowering 1.32m, total 3.8m.

    Tam Clinic
Holy sh*t this is the best skin care clinic albeit their expensiveness. I jot botox on my calf when I was still recovering from BA and the doc kneeled to give me injections! I also did double-skinny for thigh fat and laser for acne scarring, the results were pretty good.

Lastly... is there a new Kakao talk group??? Let me in pls.

  4. yeah I stayed 1.5 month for fc, eyes, nose, skin, and hairline surgery. I planned nose to be the last since it should go with face shape (not that you can see immediate result lol).
just to put my reply to a PM here
The consultant had a business vibe and she insisted on 4.5 mil for my first nose job. It's subdermal fat removal for a sharper tip, 3.5 mm silicone for bridge, and rib + nose cartilage for tip support. (It's ~ 3-4 mil for locals. )
At first (~2 weeks) it was pretty dramatic and curvy and super pretty. Then after 6 months it looks more natural but it's still the biggest change to my face.
For nose I recommend staying at least 1 week to get your cast removed.
If you talk to Dr. Kim he can do many styles and make a nose suitable for you  I wanted a dramatic nose but he eventually gave me a nose that suits my face.
Definitely consult many places. if you want more natural results I remember Garosu, Braun, and cocoline are good. Dr. Kim from Topclass speak good english and he was super down to earth so I chose him

  5. Hello Rita0801.
I'm the one who introduced LolipopSwiss to Trend. I posted reviews in our Kakao group about Topclass, DA, Oscar, Trend, Maxwell, and tons of other clinics.. Ppl are going to these clinics because of me, and ppl are going to Trend and DA because of LolipopSwiss. But that doesn't mean we are promoters.. This forum is about sharing information, right?

I said nice things about Trend and LolipopSwiss liked doctor, so she decided to do surgery there and share her successful result. She gave consent to the clinic about using her photos, but I guarantee you she's not a free model. Trend is not cheap and they don't need free models to promote themselves.

  6. Thank you so much for your review.
I wonder if you can elaborate on how to search clinics with good reviews? I tried naver "안면윤곽" or some other english terms translated into korean, various sections pop up:

파워링크 (power-link, similar to google ads):
shows me big and expansive clinic websites live VIEW and GRAND.

    웹문서 (web documents):
shows me a mix between clinic websites and documents.
interestingly, when i click on Apujeong Seoul Clinic there is a redirect-link on the upper right corner that transfers me to THE FACE DENTAL site. Are these two clinic affiliated?

    사이트 (site):
at the bottom of the page, shows me lots of clinic websites. See some familiar names like JW, TopClass, and Regen.

I wonder which section do you look into, and how do you make sure it has good reviews? Do you also search blogs and cafes?

  7. I'm curious about why you don't recommend The Line. Can you give your reasons?
Also, do you know Unique clinic? Two surgeons left Opera at 2014 to open this clinic. Since surgeons are more important than clinics and you seem knowledgable about clinics, can you recommend what surgeries/surgeons are good in Opera/Unique?

  8. Kim Tae-Gyu is the head doctor at Braun, he used to do rhino but he only does facial contouring now. This clinic calims to be good at rhino and fc, so you can check him out if you want to do fc.
Kim Gui Rak is the head rhino plastic surgeon but he also does minor facial surgeries like chin implants.
Seo bo-ik and Lee Jung Hun are both rhino surgeons and both studied rhino in Dallas. Lee Jung Hun also does breast and eyes. I remember a forumer had good result doing eyes with him.
I can give you links to these surgeons' recent cases if you can't navigate in their Chinese website:
Kim Tae-Gyu, Kim Gui Rak, Seo bo-ik, Lee Jung Hun.
Actually you can tell a lot from the sequence of doctors. The doctors I mentioned above are at the top row in their Doc intro. They have Ph.D degrees and are more popular. Dr. Kim jin seok is an anaesthetist, not a plastic surgeon. Dr. Lee Jar Cheol is a skin doctor.
Braun is doing a lot of marketing in Chinese forums, and they have been recruiting and expanding... the more popular a clinic becomes, the more chance a "negative experience" will pop up. So.. I can only advise you to avoid Dr. Pak/Park Kwang min, and the rest you'll need to consult for yourself

  9. Braun has Dr. Park kwang min ... He looks youngest and wears glasses
Since you mentioned, I looked him up on Braun's website. It's weird that he is in the "doctor introduction" (with least experience and qualifications) but not in the "family photo" of Braun doctors. Maybe this says something...

  10. Avoid a clinic because it promotes itself? Then how would oversea customers like us know its existence? It could be the experiences are real, and Girin's english translator put them up. Until now, I've only seen positive reviews on Girin. And I know they are popular with locals.
