Surgery Day:

I got in the Clinic at 3pm and start preparing and paying fees before entering the surgery room. I was nervous and excited but since i have to go here n there, paying, counting money and all so i just forgot about it a bit. So for this surgery 2 doctors will perform the operation for me, Dr.Lee fat graft and Jaw reduction and another Dr. (forgot his name) did my nose revision. So they send me to meet doctor again and ask me to tell doctor again and remind of how i want it to be liked. But all i say is I choose this clinic, if things goes wrong is own fault or if i dint like the result etc... a lot of things come in my mind so at last i just tell doctor tell: please make me look nice and pretty in natural way..

After paying they ask me to go to the 11th Floor, so i ask my husband to go back to the house and pick me up tomorrow morning at 9am. so he just sit there and watch me leave to 11th floor, that is when things get real. i got upstairs, and have no time to wait lol because after i got upstair they just send me in the room, ask me to lay down, and here i go into my daydream land... No pain... I don't remember anything at all.

[....] So in total my hubby said he wait for my text in phone for 4-5 hours, so i think assume that the operations+time i wake up is around 4-5hours. I never imagine it'd be this long but yeah, Whats done is done.
I woke up, take my phone and message my husband right away. But after that i felt asleep because of the general-anesthesia they gave me.. i remember i wake up , hearing a night nurse call me to open my eyes, ask me not to sleep.. Just to make i am alright and all. I open eyes and then fall asleep back within few second and try to wake up again... It was not difficult, no pain but its just i tell myself i have to be strong and do as the nurse say. after liked half an hour - 1h, i felt a bit better then starting take my phone chatting with my husband but then my phone die T.T

I agree when i see people saying that View is low in post opt care lol.. i was also reading Bongqiuqiu blog which she mention the night shift nurse would come in every one hour to change the cold pack for her and bring her water, but in View, they don't come unless you call .. -.- But well i just keep pressing the Call button every one hour, to keep her busy and come in and change cold pack for me even it was not hurt.
I remember i felt asleep after putting the ice pack, because on the bed, there is liked a heat underneath and they turn it on for me the whole night... Since i don't want to move so it just made me feel so hot, liked boiling water... i sweat the whole night, so when the ice pack come, i felt better and fall asleep.. Then when its not cold anymore, i started to wake up and Press Calling button again lol... WELL, YOU GOTTA SERVE ME FOR WHA I PAY FOR GIRL

The night was so long, and There was a time that i remember i was sleeping but suddenly my saliva coming out from my throat and i felt liked vomit so i call the nurse... she come in and ask me to try not to vomit because it'd hurt me.. so i was trying not to but then still vomit a bit, but since my stomach was empty, there was nothing except a bit of my own saliva and a bit of blood that stuck in my throat and nose during operation.
Honestly am the type who girl who scared of everything lol... Knifes, Horror movies, insects, but i don't know why, when it come to this plastic surgery thingy, i just feel so strong and agree to get through everything alone without any worries. Even my mom she kept worrying that things might go wrong or i bad result etc, but i just don't know... Its my choice, if its wrong, i accept it... Because i spend a lot of time reading here and there, searching and discuss a lot with other girls from this forum so i am confident that its gonna be alright.
I heard there are people who cry, want to die after get through the surgery or Jaw reduction, saying its not worth it and all... but hey... Lets be logic, No one ask you to do it, you want to do it yourself, so just be responsible on your own decision girls. No pain No gain, After rain, there'll be rainbow... Even bad result or good, it was always your own decision all along... OF course cutting bone, cutting skin, going through will be hurt... You know it hurt as heel even you burn your skin a bit so imagine you go through the whole operation, of course it hurts.

So ask yourself, make sure DO YOU WANT PLASTIC SURGERY OR NOT? If you are sure then Do it. If you aren't sure, so just don't do it. Nobody pushing you and you can keep on researching more and more until you are sure.

The next Day:
My hubby come to see me at exactly 9am in the morning... Omg i felt so warm. I would have stand up and go hug him but i was still feeling weak... so i just sit up a bit and feel bit shy because i honestly don't want him to see me being so swollen so ugly -.- But he never care, he said he come to take care of me and i ask him not to look at my face, so he act liked he never look but i know he was picking on me

We leave home at 11am because was busy trying to get something in my stomach since he bough some yogurt or juice for me to eat in the room.. I rented a house which is just near by so i can't go back by taxi T.T, i should have rented a far one so can take taxi lol .. but well i have to walk back liked 8min i guess. it is just across the road but i am a shy girl so i hate walking across people while i am swollen liked that.

DAY1:
Got home and start to relax. But i was recommend to sleep with head high so i have liked 3 pillows for myself... Normally i hate sleeping on high pillow because i would have hurt my neck but after surgery things change lol.. i find it so comfy to sleep liked that. But not NOW (after 3-4months).. hehe
I stock up some fruits, yogurt, porridge and creamy custard... Yogurt was too sweet so didn't eat... Fruits, i bring machine but lazy to do it, so eat only one time. I eat porridge and custard pudding only...

My face not swollen at all... i was liked MAYBE I'm the lucky one lol I was so happy. Who know about day after... haha

DAYs After Day 1:

I just stay and rest.. but i try to go outside and walk outside but then my face start to feel so heavy so we walk back. From day 2, my face start swollen... Oh dear, my lips getting bigger and bigger... From Spanish Chorizo to Jumbo Hotdog... Thats start a time when everyone start worrying and stress begin.. Since you can't go out, don't feel comfortable, Days are too long, Cant wait to Recover, Omg... I was so stress, But luckily i have my hubby by my side... That is the reason why people say: you should bring someone along... so they can comfort during the first few days that is the turn up page of your life changing.

I eat porridge, a bit of small pieces donuts, sometime mango smoothie and also that pudding. lol there some food i should eat but i am so hungry, i feel so weak so i have to have sth a bit.. Oh yeah, i also had fishcake lol OMG i was dying to had that fishcake soup but it was too spicy and i can't T.T

I feel all better... Strong but only my hair, so itchy lol... omg i can't stand it and wait until i go back day4 or 5 to hospital, so i got my hubby washed for me at day 2 or 3.. Completely forgot.

Which clinic is i choose and why?

Before i let you guys know, please remember that, clinic that choose wouldn't be suitable for you, and maybe the one for you is not for me. Because we were born with different face, different choice and decision, so please understand, and i want you guy to know that I AM NOT A PROMOTER.
You can read all my old posts with other forumers and know it by reading all the posts and how i write and mention my experience.

So, I want to get it done with DA honestly, but the doctor is only good for Jaw, and Bad in Nose. Girin are both good but i can't contact them. So Finally i choose View Clinic. I was thinking of doing Jaw at DA and then Nose in View, but Imagine, I don't want to them to put me into sleep 2 times, and one clinic you will have to check up at least 2 times, so 2 clinic would be 4 times. DA and View are not far but not too close that can make it easy for me to love around during my first few days after surgery. Plus Jaw reduction is not a small surgery, so to make it safe and sound, I finally just decide to get it done with VIEW clinic. Even clinic not modern, but Yeah, its my choice.

So on Thursday, i went back to View again and talk to them again. I spend another 1 hour just get know more details and then tell them I decide to choose them and ready to bargain the price

How much i pay? I don't want to mention the price, so please understand, but you guys can inbox me and maybe i tell you because there are too many people inbox me so i can't reply all at d same time. But i just want to say that I happen to pay the good price, which also make me happy and satisfied even if i know its still expensive compare to local Korean price, but yeah, how could you ask for more.

Bargain: I want to say it again and again guys. The price that they tell you online, through email, though phone are just an approximately price, it is not the real one. So if you interested in a clinic, go to consult with them, make decision and BARGAIN. Please remember, bargaining in Korea is okay, bargain at least 20-30%.

So i book the surgery for the next day which is on Friday... I still have one more night to eat freely and as much as i can before mid night. My surgery will be on Friday noon at 4pm. i wanted to be in the morning so i think the doctor wouldn't be so tired while operating me right? But yeah... 4pm is okay, can't change.

View Clinic Consultation:

View locates not too far from DA, maybe around 15-20min walking. There is a underground train and market just right under View building. So you can either enter View from the Railway station or at the main entrance which is infront of the Gangnam Style Photo Booth.

First Impression: View is not as new and modern clinic liked DA. But you trust the doctor right? its not always the look. (don't judge the book by its cover )

Anyway I arrive at View around 1pm I guess. Surprisingly there's a lot of patient, liked both Chinese and Korean one. The whole clinic was liked 3 to 4 floors. so the 10th floor is consultation, 11th for surgery etc.
To me, the nurse who works there are not that attractive (i don't want to be mean...) but i can spot only 1 or 2 girls who work there looking natural and pretty, but the one who come to talk to me and get through all the consultation with me, she's okay, acceptable.

How my consultation goes?
Well, i am not on both View or DA side, but i just write down what even been through with them. There are 2 girls who doing the consultation with me. The talk, skinny white one doesn't speak english and another one, she actually work in View for Korean-CHinese translation, but too and the one who translate Korean-ENg is not here today, so that Chinese girl was helping me all along. Her english is good, i can understand what she trying to say .

I was talking to them and discuss about price and all, asking them when they look at my face, what surgery they think i should have (but i already know what i want to have done). So she spot out my Jaw, nose, fat graft, v-lift and zygoma. At this time, you are the Red Ridinghood and they are the wolf
So we been discussing but i tell them that i only want to get my Jaw reduction, nose revision and fat graft done, but the girl was also trying to tell me i should also get the Zygoma done. Going under Zygoma would change your face even more than nose and Jaw, so i decide not to do it because my zygoma is not that bad and it was never on my list, plus i know that there might be some sagging after jaw reduction, but if i add Zygoma too, there will be double and it will also be the dramatic change. So i decide NOT to do it. Just follow what surgery i dream at get done, Thats it.

I spend liked 20minute talking with the girl before they send me to do x-ray and meet the doctor. In my mind, i already think i want to get my Jaw reduction done with dr.Lee DA, so when i meet doctor at View, i was okay okay, but doctor at View looked more gentle and kind. he smile and touch my face gently and say he will do his best for the surgery if i decide to do it here in View and all.

So at first, they took me to only one doctor which his name was also dr.Lee (in View) lol (so don't be confuse with dr.Lee in DA.) and they want him to get all the surgery done for me, liked nose, jaw and fat graft. so i was feeling a bit liked NOT wanting what they manage for me.
Coming out from the doctor office, they took me to discuss again, so its another 30min lol discuss very details and how much they would give me discount and all. surprisingly they don't get bored of me and my questions.

At last i still don't give them any answer yet, and tell them i will give them a call or come to View again if i decide to do it here. The girls still look very happy, welcoming, but the one who help with the translation, i can tell, she's really honest, and extremely kind. I wish everyone who go there, talk to her and think liked me...


Price: Of course the cost wouldn't be so expensive as DA but not that cheap too. Since you are a foreigner, they will double the price of the normal one for local people. So remember, ALWAYS BARGAIN. BARGAIN Like you buying cloth or food at Sunday Market or night market Bargain at least 20%-30%, do not afraid just do it.
I learn the trick from a forumer as well, that you have to tell them less amount of money that you actually have, and if you decide to do with them, so just tell them you really want to get it done with them so they might give u some special discount. :FINGER CROSS:


Girin Clinic:

Everyone know Girin has no in house english translator right... so i was trying to team them that i will be going to there clinic through Kakao talk and asking to find a translator for me and i would pay for them.

I was lost trying to find GIRIN , liked 1 hour. But Girin is in the same building as View.
Stupid me. I was liked: OMG...
I arrived at Girin around 4pm, because i spend so much time in View lol. Unfortunately when i went in and asking the front desk girls, they can't speak english and they didn't book or find any translator for me T.T
I come all the way to Korea and they did liked this me. i wanted to cry. Because i also expect a lot from Girin.
Anyway there was no consultation with Girin and i just leave there, and trying to book consultation through kaka talk again with them tomorrow, but there were no one reply and i cannot waste another day.
I remember i arrive on Wednesday so i have to have surgery on Friday the lastest. Cannot wait, cannot extend. So Thursday i was waiting for them but there is no reply so i just give up on them, MOVE ON T.T

 

Here is my Part 1 of my surgery trip to Korea. This part one will cover my consultation and how i feel about clinic.
Note: English my not my first language so please don't mind of how i write in here.

Past surgeries: Chin implant, Rhinoplasty in thailand. (Rhinoplasty that i had in thailand is not a good one, i mean the doctor put the silicone which is longer than my original nose, so it made my nose looked liked eagle nose (curve down) and since its longer so it push my skin downward and it is the reason my nose get so red so easily even if i just wash my face or touch it normal. the other reason is because the skin get thinner and thinner and i am afraid silicone will burst out @@)

Surgery i am going to have: Revision rhinoplasty, Square reduction and full face fat graft.

I left to South Korea on the 23h of September accompany by my husband, which was autumn over there. the weather was nice, not too hot not too cold, it just make me feel great. I have booked my consultation in the same day as i arrived in Korea. So one consultation with DARPs at 9am, View Clinic at 1pm and Grin at 3pm.

My trip was quite far because i spend around 13hours in my first flight, transit in Hong Kong for 3hours and than another flight to Korea. Totally maybe more than 24h. -.-
I was feeling so tired and excited about this trip but once i land in Korean airport, i just can't wait to go for my consultation. So i arrive at the airport at 6am in the morning. we landed and went through all the custom check.. phewww i just feel so great. I was liked: FINALLY, EVERYTHING IS GETTIN REAL NOW.
Since we arrive quite early so we decide to rest at the airport a bit before go to the clinic.

GET SIM CARD
Right after you exit from the arrival gate, on the right hand side, maybe a 10-20meters walk, you will a mart. I bought my simcard for my iPhone over there and also some mouth wash and gums. If you want to get sim card as soon as possible, please go get it at that mart. (sorry i forget the name)

How I get to Seoul?
The exit door infant of the arrival gate, you will find a sign, show you to the bus stop. my bus number to Seoul was 6009, but before you catch the bus, Please don't forget to get ticket first. The ticket stand is just right infront of the exit door of the arrival, liked that buses. There are many buses, there are few bus lined to Seoul but i took Bus 6009 because it was right for my time. As i remember they have buses in every 15minutes, so no worry, everything will be fine.
The bus to Seoul will take probably 1hour and half included traffic jam and stuff, it depends, so u can have a nice rest before you go to your consultations as me As i remember the bus tickets cost around 5-15dollars. ( sorry i quite forget, but i just know its cheaper than taxi).

DARPS ( DA Plastic surgery):
This is my first consultation. DA is right behind Regen Clinic, but it just Regen is on the main road, and DA is another behind but u can find a small entrance to DA right on the main road as well.
DA is a nice clinic, looking cool. I got there exactly at 9am in the morning, so it quite early and not many patients. Or maybe i go during the low season of Plastic surgery in Korea, thats why.
I saw only 3 Chinese girls who got first before me and the rest is just the girls who work there. I went to ask the girl who work there and tell them i have booked a consultation. Opps, they said they dunno about it, nobody notes down.. I felt bad but they let me have the consultation anyway because the clinic was quiet.
They ask me to fill the form, of how i know about their clinic, which surgery i want to do, dramatic change or natural change, allergy and past surgeries etc....
after i complete they took me to the other room which i have to talk with the nurse first i think. They show me the picture and tell me the price and explain me briefly about the surgery. After that they took me to do the Xray and bring the Xray scan to the doctor with me. Well , this is the first time i meet Dr.Lee that everyone said he's the former doctor from View, coming out and open his own clinic.

Dr.Lee is good, what i mean by good is by his patient before-after, his looks make us feel that he is the doctor that you could trust and his office is very well organize. He asked me what surgery i want to do: I said nose revision, jaw reduction and fat graft. and he said: Jaw reduction is suitable for me and also my nose has be fix, because it looked so weird.I tell him about my jaw but he also notice about my chin. He said he can fix my jaw by cutting the bone, taking out the muscle but my chin is very bad, he can't fix and it can't never be fix.

(i talk to myself: Wait...! I was thinking to myself and i liked: Argg!! i come for my jaw and yeah, i know my chin look bad (chin implant suppose to put under the chin so it make ur face look longer right? But Thai doctor put it in the front of my natural chin, so it make my face look liked curve to the front liked a witch, but it can be remove and i am not that ugly, damn. it just make me look weird at some point but not always look ugly. I thank him for mention that but why he mention it can't ever be fix, no matter what i do or where i go, i have to live with it the rest of my life.??? Jesus!!!!)

So i just smile and felt so down and he just ask me: "Do you have any questions?", I said : "No" , so he just say Bye. The consultation was liked 5min lol.

What i feel: I admire his experiences, his patients before and after photo and i wish he'd be the doctor that i give all my trust to, but wait: 5min consultation, how do you going to gain my trust?

But i am not crossing him out yet, i still have 2 consultations to go to. So Maybe see you DA.

I forget to talk about the girls who work in DA: she's so nice, always smile, look positive and keep chatting to me through kakao even if i left because i told them directly that i have to go for another consultations so she said: she waits to me coming back to DA and stuff. Even she acting to be nice but i think i really fall for that

This is DREAMII. I was searching for plastic surgery in this forum for liked years but i just decide to go to Korea last year on September during Autumn time overthere. It's been about 3-4 months after my surgery now and i am quite satisfied with it even its not 100% that i want it to be.
I've been so quiet and not sharing any of my experiences regarding my Jaw reduction, my nose revision and my fat graft full face because i want to know my exact result before telling everyone how i like it.
so please check my thread often because I'm quite busy with my works and i will write my experiences once I'm free. but i will try all my best to tell u what i know related to the surgery I've been through. and in case i don't mention clinic name, because it was against the rule. but i will list down all clinics i went for consultation and i will try to give as much details as i can.

Yes I think she has zygoma reduction. You can see by the stitches on the cheek to hold after surgery.

Because of purse forum, K couture and others info from you guys, I'm finally here.
So tired from my flight, arrive and went to consultation. I just completely deadly tired and just fall asleep without knowing when I got to the room.
I will share my experience after I chose which clinic I'm going to do surgery with. Right now still deciding...

I wanted to ask if: the aegyosal is the lower eyelid?
I also plan to inject filler or fat graft for my under eye (love band). Could you tell me why you chose filler? I was always think of fat graft, or maybe filler is better?
The stitches in your mouth of facial contour will be self dissolve or you need to visit doctor in your home country? How is your jaw feeling?
Sorry for a lot of question.

Anyway I also had my eyelid done at the same time as my first rhinoplasty. At first eyelid will remain a bit red and re-swell a bit, everytime I wake up from sleep but it got better in the afternoon and evening. It's just liked we have bloat face in the morning.

For what I know, we can onli apply ice onli the first few days after the surgery. The reason is Ice can reduce the pain and slow down the swelling I believe. But after that few days, we shouldn't apply ice anymore. Back in my time, I was told to apply warm gel to reduce the redness (the bruise) but for doctor in korea, I dnt know their technique. ( my first surgery was in Thailand).

For my eyelid, it took about 2 or 3 month to look normal... And yes, the first month will look a bit weird but it's also depend on each people condition, as we know everyone heal differently.

Eyelid after surgery might look uneven just because of how they operate you. Sometime it depend on their skill, for e.g. if the doctor did very gentle on your left side, so left side will be swollen in normal level. But if doctor accidentally not so gentle on your right side so your right side eyes will be a but more swollen than your left eyes. (Eyelids is very sensitive)
So ask for doctor opinion for your last check up Tomorrow, if he says your eyes is okay so should wait for see the result first before think of re-surgery.

I'm from New Zealand and I can't Sinecch here and when I search for it, seem liked New Zealand don't allow to import any kind of medicine. But I found another medicine which also contain Arnica liked Sinecch but it doesn't seem to be very strong liked Sinecch. so headache. Have only beomelain and vit c.
