  1. Haha want to switch with me? Thank you.
Sadly, I don't remember  I will let you know if I do!

It is, but I only know of two clinics who offer the revision surgery.
    Dr. Shin, Shinseung
    Dr. Chung, Eve Plastic
You can find more info here: https://beautyhacker.com/forums/topic/936184-epicanthoplasty-reversal-revision-my-experience/
Sadly I do not, but I will let you know if I remember or recover the info!

  2. Wow I figured it would be more around 2mil. :/ I will definitely try to haggle in-person. I guess I am a bit easy to please as I'm willing to choose a revision clinic based on photos and as long as I am happy with the consultation. I'll be going to Dr. Chung for the moment, unless I can find good result and better prices elsewhere. (http://www.eveplastic.co.kr/english/clinic_13.htm)

  3. You should share quotes from clinics! If anything, it helps make sure everyone is getting a fair price (since a lot of clinics will over-charge foreigners because they can get away with it.)
What is your main concern with picking a doctor? Both of their post-op pictures look fairly well done!

  4. I haven't done too much research for doctors, but his website is very easy to navigate, the procedure pictures look well done, and the location is convenient. I posted a consultation post on their website's consultation board a month ago, but haven't had a reply yet. >_< I'm wondering how much they usually charge.

  5. Not really.. I think there is always a risk of scarring with any surgery and at this point I'm more concerned with fixing too much of my inner pink showing than with minimal scarring. I think it's important to understand the risks though, and you should do what you're most comfortable risking!
    I'm not sure!

  6. They offered me a free revision, and I'm considering it, however I need to ask for more information on their experiences regarding revisions. This will be my third nosejob, so I'm very sensitive about where to do it.

  7. Thank you. I'm definitely looking into American doctors! And yes, right now I'm considering Eve Clinic for epi revision!

  8. Ok you guys are clearly dismissing my real concerns. My inner pink tissue IS overexposed.
Here is a better picture. I don't believe this is a good epicanthoplasty result whatsoever. I've been disturbed by the deepness since the moment I saw myself in the mirror with a nosecast and these deep new corners. Deswelling never took away my disturbance nor dissatisfaction. I've learned to live with my disappointment for the past 2 years, and have tried to accept it, but it has been one of my biggest regrets. Top is my real eyes, and below is a photoshopped picture that I will be taking for when I get revision.
Of course they still look "Asian" as I AM Asian. However, I seriously believe I have a valid concern/issue with my eyes.
    Hope you can understand.

Also, ITEM has contacted me and offered a free revision with anesthetic fee (~$300) due to silicone devation, but I'm still wary about getting my nose done by them again. I don't know if I feel mentally/emotionally prepared to go through another risk with my nose, at least not yet. I'm scared to do a revision at a clinic not known for revisions. I don't want to further complicate my face, which I only have one of..

I definitely want to get osteobond with them, but their prices have seemed to have increased or something.. Maybe I am wrong.
I feel very conflicted now :/

  9. Thank you! And I agree, they look good but seeing my transformation was hard for me to accept. Some people think I'm mixed when I'm not. I wasn't trying to lose my Asian appeal. I don't want a complete reversal, I just want the corners to be a bit more subtle and graceful. I would like to mention I do struggle with dysmorphia and am a perfectionist. But I definitely know the difference between being overzealous with surgeries and a bad mentality. I think 2 years is a good amount of time of me severely feeling uncomfortable with the drastic change.
Thank you, I will look into their clinics!

  10. I noticed it was off-center the first week, but brushed it off, but it became more prominent as swelling subsided.
I just emailed them, but am wary of getting my third nose procedure at the same place. I plan on saving to go to an American doctor and using rib instead of silicone. I'd like the convenience of being able to drive to the doctor if any issues arise vs booking an international trip.

I'll update on what I decide to do!

  11. I haven't contacted them, but it was crooked from the start, but was masked by the swelling. By the 2nd-3rd month, it began to be very apparent as it deswelled. Yes, it's most crooked/off center near the top!

I do not agree! One was cut more than the other. My eyes look way too centered on my face, which you can't really tell because I cropped the image closely to privacy reasons. Thank you.

  12. Hello everyone. I just wanted to share my honest experience and outcome with ITEM Clinic.
I got epicanhoplasty, outer corner lowering, and revision rhinoplasty with ITEM Clinic in the fall of 2016.
I am not truly satisfied with my results. While some can say there was an improvement (and I agree to an extent), I believe the results are not very ideal.
    Concerns:
They advertise a dolly-nose. My friend and I both had revision rhinoplasty here, and she's already gotten another revision. She told me her old nose was exactly the same as mine. I believe in pictures, they are cute, but they definitely follow a cookie-cutter method that doesn't work out well for everyone. For me, my nose was adorable for the first 3 months, but slowly the asymmetry and sharpness revealed itself.
There was a cute slope for a while, but now my nose is more straight and pointy, and it is very off-center, especially between my eyes.
The outer corner lowering was OK and was a fairly easy recover that was overshadowed by my depression from my epicanthoplasty.
I believe the consultant should've advised me better, as I was working with a budget and could only do DES or epi/corners. I believe I should've been advised to simply get DES.
My tall implant along with the over-done epi makes me look so harsh and exaggerates how close together my eyes are. I am truly unhappy with how it has affected my esteem, and regret this procedure deeply. I am looking into reversal surgery (Eve Clinic- Dr. Chung.) Maybe this look would be suitable for others, but I believe how round/open and deep the corners are is unacceptable and unnatural for most Asians. It definitely ruined my cute/youthful appeal and makes me look harsh.

    Rebuttals:
I believe ITEM is still skilled in different areas. My friend received forehead augmentation with osteobond, and I believe the results look very good, and she is satisfied with her results. She also is satisfied with her epicanthoplasty and DES. Her breast augmentation also looks very natural (she attained a big B, small C cup.)

    Price:
If I remember correctly, my epi and corner lowering was I think ~$600 each or so. I think my rhino (silicone+septum cartilage) was $4k. It was almost 2 years ago so I don't remember clearly.

I have not contacted them regarding this. I do not wish to return to them for eyes/nose again. I am interested in osteobond, but I am more willing to check out MVP Clinic's fat grafting before then. I consulted with MVP prior to ITEM, and I deeply regret not going with them, as they were definitely more friendly and comforting (the layout and staff.)

I've attached some pictures of my results. I will have to dig for my before pictures, so I will update this post when I have them.

(Sorry, some pictures got flipped. Also, my nose looks different from different sides due to the asymmetry.)

And here is a photo of what I wish were my results instead. I will be showing this to the doctor I go to for epi-reversal. I may be looking into my third (and hopefully final) rhinoplasty with possibly an American doctor. I've been let down too hard by two Korean doctors and am losing faith in them.

Feel free to post questions (do not PM me, I want everyone to have access to information that I put energy into posting.)

  13. I agree with the numbness... I am still a bit numb on the very lower portion of my bottom gums. Honestly, I wouldn't do FC ever again after doing Zygoma and V-Line and Chin at the same time. It was so physically traumatic.
You should look into facial fillers to even out imbalances, as they are cheaper, less invasive, faster recovery, usually dissolvable, and generally a more favorable experience than FC surgery.
My zygomas are asymmetrical after my surgery and my jaw is also not perfectly equal, but I never expected them to be made perfect and am looking into getting fillers to even things out. Good luck!!

  14. Hi everyone, I posted before about my unhappiness about my rhino and epi at ITEM. I'm almost 2 years post op.
I, too, was convinced by their patient B/A's, however my results are not too similar. I have a very pretty nose from my side profile, which I believe is their selling point, but from the front I am dissatisfied. My implant is still crooked and my nose was shortened too much, so now I am dealing with a longer philtrum. I will post pictures soon.

  15. Hi everyone! I'm planning on an epicanthoplasty reversal sometime next year hopefully. I had an over-done epicanthoplasty in 2016 with ITEM Clinic. Along with a rhinoplasty with a tall implant (it is crooked), it made my eyes appear way too close together. By themselves, my eyes look fine, but I definitely regret the epi and should have just done DES instead. My eyes are not harmonious with my face whatsoever and I've been extremely depressed and anxious due to my transformed look. I definitely look more awake and fresh, but without make-up, I look odd.

I would like to get DES (double eyelid surgery) at the same time I get epi reversal, however I like a bigger fold look (not outfold) and am nervous that Dr. Shin/Chung do more natural folds only. Does anyone have any experience getting DES with any of these doctors?

To those who have completed reversal surgery, what were the prices?
I'm Korean-American and most clinics have quoted me local prices for being Korean. I hope this doesn't cost over $2k as I don't want to put in over $2k for a bad surgery that was ~$600.

I've also noticed Eve Clinic is in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam now. I'm glad about that because I've stayed in Sinsa and I like the easy layout for walking/traveling to the clinics nearby.

PM me if you'd like to connect and share info/experiences!

  16. I can't say what percent survived, but it's noticeably gone. It's not 100% gone but if I had to guess maybe.. 20%? I didn't get a top-up so there's definitely a lot of re-absorption.
Yes, bone cementing is to have a rounder forehead (they also use it for back-of-head improvement surgery.) I would just prefer to have to not get fat graft over and over, so it seems like a good option.

I did not do fat graft at ITEM (I did at DAPRS.)

  17. I've gotten my revision rhino there and while I do see improvement, my bridge is noticeably crooked. My first rhino was slightly off center (but doc said it was natural), but after getting revision at ITEM (along with epi, which I regret) it is definitely more noticeable and tilted. Also the doctor make my nose pretty from the side (was very enticing when I researched) but, in my opinion, the front is too short (almost piggy round front/round nostrils) and I find my philtrum seems too long now. u_u

My friend has gotten her whole face done there and her results were very impressive, but I don't think my procedures did the best they could for my face. :/

I'm not too saddened though, I plan on going to Seoul for epi reversal (slight, because I did need it but not so much.)

I would definitely go back for forehead bone cementing (it's called osteo-bond I think) bc my friend's turned out very nice. I would also get fat grafting (I've done before but it's absorbed) done there.

  18. I did my revision nosejob, epi, and outer corner cut/lowering at ITEM in October 2016. Most of the swelling is gone. I rate my satisfaction about 6/10. My nose bridge is off-center (silicone implant with septum cartilage used) and my nose was shortened too much. I have a very nice side profile but I'm not happy with the bridge being tilted when viewed from the front. My bulbous tip is not as reduced (it seems to be the same size as before.) It may be due to scar tissue formation, as my nose also feels stiff. I preferred my nose when it was still swollen, because now the implant on the bridge is more obvious (and the tilt makes me unhappy) and my alars have not been reduced as much as I'd like.
I will take pictures when I can and post them.

I'm really upset that I will probably have to have a THIRD rhinoplasty.
