  1. Thank you! I do not want to argue with that person anymore, but I do feel better that you are sticking up for me. I wish the argument didn't happen, but at least I know that many people make these kinds of mistakes online sometimes.

  2. I agree with you. Thanks for ending things.

  3. Not really, a quick sentence doesn't even prove anything.

  4. Oh yeah, it sucks so much - I have a good job, friendly coworkers, the nicest mom in the world, good health, delicious food to eat everyday, many hobbies, etc. A life so devoid of any major problems that I have the time to waste on pointless conversations like this.

  5. I am not talking about you, I meant many other people have made conclusions about people who have gotten plastic surgery, and then I become convinced. I never assume people have gotten surgical procedures without corroboration from many other people.

As it was such a strange time to say "God bless" to someone, of course I would doubt if you were really Christian or not.

  6. I have never met someone so literal and incapable of understanding nuance in my life - the caps lock statement was an example of your rancour, but certainly not the only aspect.

But I should thank you, this drama has distracted me for a while from the pain of my braces and elastics.

  7. Not everyone who gets plastic surgery is ugly.... thought that was obvious. It's just a decision people make based on whether or not they have the time and money, and if it doesn't clash with their principles too much. Most celebrities who have gotten plastic surgery were already very good-looking to begin with, but they just wanted to refine a few things. I never said I was this and that, I was just saying what other people have said, and often I disagree with them as everyone has their own personal taste and aesthetic preference.

Oh I understand what you write, it's just sometimes your sentences are not written very well. Doesn't mean I can't comprehend - I can fully comprehend how a 5 year old writes, but obviously there are many ways in which that writing can be improved.

If it wasn't clear before (as you seem so thick-headed), I never make assumptions based solely on my own observations, many many other people have said the same thing and then I realize they are right.

As an actual Christian, I hope you are not using God's name in vain.

  8. I don't like fighting with people, but that other member just got so defensive and triggered for some reason - even to the point of writing "WHY NOT" in caps lock (who does that in response to such a harmless comment?). In my initial reply, I didn't even insult them or anything, I just pointed out something that millions of other people have pointed out in the past. I treat others the way they treat me (unless they are my superior at work or something, in which case I am always respectful no matter what) - I return geniality with geniality, and conversely, when I receive such animosity, I'll throw it right back. Thank you though for trying to placate things

  9. I have read your words carefully, though it's not like I need to - it's not like your way of writing or word choices are particularly complicated or profound. The only reason I would need to re-read your words is due to the fact that sometimes your sentences don't make much sense. I am a lot more familiar with plastic surgery in East Asia than you are - you are not even East Asian. I have a ton of relatives in East Asia who have helped inform me - who have had first hand experience with plastic surgery in Korea. Also it has nothing to do with guesswork or "flippant jealousy" - many other people on forums and real life have corroborated my statements. I make conclusions based on what many others have said as well. Moreover, I am not even bad looking myself - many people in Korea and China have called me beautiful in the past. It's just that I am a perfectionist so I want to be as perfect as possible, thus I am seeking cosmetic surgery (also I have functional issues with my nose). I know more than you do how East Asian eyes are like - many of my close relatives naturally have big double eyelids - bigger than those of most Koreans. Just because I am pointing out someone obviously got plastic surgery, does not mean I envy their features. That model's features are not the aesthetic I am going for anyways - I prefer less sharp features, a smaller rounder nose, and thin tapered creases. If you cannot see plastic surgery where it is so blatantly obvious, you need your eyes checked.

  10. Cool, thanks for the suggestions! I'll continue to do lots of research and will do as many consultations as I can.

  11. Well, with celebrities, I just compare their before and after photos. Even though people do change with age, your jaw doesn't just naturally lose it's mandible angle and your nose doesn't suddenly lose it's hump and become narrower. With people like that instagram girl, their look is just the typical Gangnam plastic surgery style and usually Koreans don't naturally have features like that.

  12. Where would you recommend, for rhinoplasty and facial contouring? Are there any other clinics that are good at both, and offer functional surgery as well for the nose? I haven't found any others so far, but your feedback scares me and makes me want to reconsider about GNG.

  13. There's nothing wrong with wanting cosmetic surgery to improve your appearance, but thinking you are deformed when you have a normal face is problematic. There are many people out there who are actually deformed, whether it be from an accident, disease, or they were just born that way. If just being "not attractive enough" is synonymous to being deformed, then what does that make those people?

People not complimenting your looks or giving you enough attention doesn't mean much. Appearance is subjective anyways. From my experience, receiving compliments and affability from others usually depends on how much they like your personality, not how you look. Honestly, I think I looked the worst between the ages 12-14 (was the heaviest I had ever been in my life because I was always binging, had a big face, etc), but that was the time I had the most friends and people in general seemed to like me. Later on though (for the rest of high school and the beginning of university), I think I looked a lot better - I had lost some weight and was always thinner and in better shape than most other girls, had perfect skin, and a much smaller face than before. But that was the time I had the least amount of friends and never received any compliments from people. It was because my personality had changed, I had gone from good-humoured and loquacious to taciturn and recluse - I didn't give off warm, welcoming vibes at all. A lot of very popular girls I knew in high school and university weren't objectively beautiful, and many were kinda overweight and had acne. I doubt those people ever received dirty looks from others because of their appearance. You're probably imagining things, I do that too - usually I assume someone is pissed at me or perhaps I offended them but then it turns out that was not the case. Don't take what other people say to heart too much, a lot of the times people aren't fully honest anyways.

Anyways, if you want plastic surgery, make sure it's only for yourself and not for someone else, or to fit into some ephemeral societal standard. I want plastic surgery purely for my own self-satisfaction, I don't care about other people's beauty standards and I doubt anyone will like me more or less if I look better. People's behaviour towards me has never been contingent on how bad or good I looked (well, as long as I wasn't dirty and didn't smell bad, haha), it was 100% always affected by the aura I gave off. In general, we are all too fixated on our ourselves to actually care about other people's flaws.

  14. I've heard Opera and Marble are also quite popular with locals. I know the former is quite small and low-key, not too sure about the latter though.

  15. Thank you for this review! I need a lot done on my nose and I've been debating between View and GNG for rhinoplasty and facial contouring. I only want to reduce my nose width and alars and fix my deviation, with no bridge heightening - so this review was very helpful.

  16. If you don't mind sharing, how much did View and GNG quote you for all those procedures? I am getting as much done as you and I've been most interested in View and GNG.

  17. It can be very easy to save up when you have no other expenses. I am living with my mom who pays for all the necessities. So all the money I make is going towards my plastic surgery, I don't spend any of it. I basically don't buy anything at all, never go out, and am overall very minimalist. Also every time I get some money for Christmas or my birthday, I don't spend it and add it to my plastic surgery funds. I haven't spent a cent of my money since December 2015 and that won't change until I go to Korea to improve my face. So yeah, basically know what's most important for you, and forget about material goods that will only bring ephemeral happiness.

  18. Some people have said that after years of getting botox on their jaw muscles, their face permanently became smaller and more "v-shaped".

  19. Many people with similar concerns have considered or gotten mandible reduction/v-line and zygoma reduction. Often with mandible reduction, the surgeon will remove muscle and fat which are also making one's face big. If you are concerned about the side effects of those surgeries, you could try botox on your face first - the botox weaken your jaw muscles. For some people, their jaw is big due to bone, but for others, it can be due to muscle. I think clinics all around the world can do this, not just Korea. Then you can see if your jaw is big due to bone or due to muscle.

Your chin looks fine to me. What about your chin bothers you? Do you want it to be sharper? Smaller? You could just get v-line on the chin without touching your mandible.

  20. Thank you again! I guess I can always stay a bit longer, as long as I get them all done in one trip.

Really? I thought GNG's prices were pretty good compared to a lot of other clinics mentioned here. People keep mentioning MVP for eyes, but I found their eyes a bit too natural looking? I mean natural is good, but I want really big eyes. I am still saving money now as I will need a lot for so many surgeries (my nose is going to be particularly complicated). Maybe by then things will have changed, as doctors seem to change clinics sometimes.

  21. Many locals is definitely a good sign! I am not even considering the clinics that focus on international customers - those are the ones that seem to have more botched results. A clinic that has enough local customers so that they feel no need to try and attract foreigners definitely inspires one's confidence. May I ask, how much did your fc cost?
