  1. If you don’t like the idea of going through medical tourism companies, you don’t have to go through them. The only reason I had to go through is because I had no clue on where to even start looking for clinics and hospitals in Korea for PS. Plus I already inquired through them and they send your name to the 5 clinics they give you as their client once they email you quotes. I didn’t mind using them, and tbh I feel like clinics will only give you a big discount if you’re doing multiple surgeries with them AND IF the clinic choose you to be their B&A model & give them a good review, I have friends here who did those. Instead of paying $15k-$20k for v-line, nose, cheeks, boobs, eyes, acculift, and almost anything u could think of, they only paid $10k-$14k . Anyways, For the Banobagi discount that I got, Docfinder didn’t even tell me that the clinic was having a 30% discount that month for rhinoplasty, good thing I constantly checked Banobagi’s website and so I mentioned it on an email to Docfinder asking if they would honor the clinic’s discount posted and they said yes and that’s how I got the 30% discount. The only good thing about using Docfinder was introducing me to clinics to start my plastic surgery plan, my translator was genuinely nice and I didn’t have to go to a pharmacy to get the prescriptions the Dr wrote for post surgery but that’s pretty much it. They didn’t really help with negotiating or anything. Before you go in surgery, Banobagi will give u like a disclosure letter to sign if you agree, saying something like if there’s something physically wrong with the nose they did you have 1 full year to go back to them for them to fix it, but if you’re just unhappy because the bridge is not tall enough then you will pay for that as a revision, I’m not really sure if they’ll give u a discount for a revision but it won’t hurt to ask before you sign the disclosure. I never really bargained to begin with actually, I just knew that I won’t get a higher discount more than 5%-10% since i was only getting 1 procedure done. That’s why I was so glad that I saw the 30% discount on their website, no thanks to docfinder lol

  2. From my experience, as long as you keep an ice pack thing on your nose area while you sleep and keep alternating it with a cold one to your face through out the night, you won’t really feel any pain. I was more annoyed that my throat was getting dry and irritated from breathing through my nose since it was packed and a little swollen. Lol but other than the annoying feeling of not being able to breath through my nose the first 2-3 days, I’d say pain level (like warm feeling and throbbing when there’s no ice pack on it) for me was maybe a 2-3.

  3. Funny you said that about big hospitals, because that’s literally the reason why I didn’t go with View or ID Hospital. It was either Banobagi or JK Plastic Surgery. I like the clinic and small business vibe but when it came down to it, the eyes and nose specialist happens to also be one of the owners of Banobagi, Dr. Lee. I also suggest to really look at B&A photos because all these clinics have different styles on plastic surgery. I like more natural, that’s why I chose them too. Originally had my eyes on Cinderella before but I’m really not into a dolly nose kind of look. Research is key and best of luck on choosing the right clinic for you! It’s so exciting!

  4. If you’re asking me, thank you and it was the head doctor for nose and eyes at Banobagi, Dr. Lee Hyuntaek  and they have a translator available that speaks fluently in English so no I didn’t have any problem with the language barrier.

  5. I got mine done at Banobagi Sept 2018 so it’s already been 2 years and I love how mine turned out. To me it looks natural and not too big. They always have discounts every month for different kinds of procedure you just gotta keep an eye out for the procedure you want. When I put a down payment on mine, they had the 30% off. I got the silicone bridge, ear cartilage for the nose tip and alar reduction.

  6. I got my rhinoplasty and alar reduction at Banobagi in 2018 and my facial feature is just getting better and better through out the years. I’ve recommended Banobagi again and again to friends and to members on this forum, The ones that actually went to Banobagi love their results. I feel like I’m the only one that keeps coming back to this forum to update and recommend them even after almost 2 years after my surgery hahaa. I suggest go with what you feel is right even after you read other places are better otherwise because at the end of the day, you’ll be the one looking at your face, not anyone else from here. And when you do go in for your surgery, try to always think of how YOU would look like with the nose you want, not a celebrity nose or how you can look like someone else afterwards. I think that’s what’s wrong with most people is that they imagine a totally different image of themselves after a procedure and when they heal and they don’t look like what they imagined, they say that clinic is not good or whatever. I recommend Banobagi since me and my friends went with them and we didn’t have any problem and we love how we look natural afterwards. They also give monthly discounts on their website, you just have to always check since it’s for different surgeries every month. Goodluck clinic shopping!

  7. Can you share the prices quoted to you and clinics name please?

  8. Tbh, I don’t think it’s a good idea to go back to the same clinic that you went and got it done previously if it didn’t work the 1st time. There’s a girl that said she got her whole face done at Jewelry and the only thing she thinks they did great was her eyes, but that’s pretty much it.

  9. Hell yea they’re hella expensive!! But they always give out discounts and promotions every month which makes it a lot cheaper.. and i totally disagree about those posts that say their work is not worth the money because the work they did for ME looks GREAT and I feel hella AMAZING about how I look, more than ever and having that feeling of confidence and feeling beautiful about yourself is totally worth it.

  10. This is my next plan to go to SK for... thanks for sharing your experience!! I currently have fillers on my chin..

  11. If you can read properly, I said I got a bigger discount on my own without DFK’s help with bargaining. $3960 for a nose job with Banobagi is not “paying more” as you mention but have a happy new year to you as well ^_^

  12. This is coming from a person that actually got my nose done with them and had a good experience while recovering, in my opinion, I love me new nose from Banobagi, it’s my first time ever going into surgery or getting anything permanent done. So for me, I’m a fan and would and did highly recommend my own friends to go with them if they’re thinking about getting anything done. But that’s just my opinion, and no I’m not sponsored or was given a discount to say nice sh*t, I got a good deal because I’m good at researching sh*t online and keeping up to date on the clinics I was interested in getting my PS at. I didn’t let other people’s opinion get in my head because it’s not their face or money that’s in the line, it’s mine. I say go for Banobagi and research everything that u have to know or questions you want to ask so you’re prepared and don’t expect a red carpet treatment, This goes for any clinic you choose to go consult with or get your plastic surgery at, it’s not Hollywood, it’s a clinic for Christ sake. Lol doctors are very important people that have better sh*t to do. Time is money and if you’re just going in for consultation when they squeezed you in between operating time where they actually make money on, don’t expect to sit and talk with them for an hour because that’s ridiculous. Hahaa Some people just have big heads and think they should be prioritized more than others.. but that’s just my opinion.

  13. Are you expecting DFK staff to work for free or something? Of course they get paid, somehow, wether it’s from the government or the clinics/hospitals it doesn’t matter, it’s their job to advertise and bring people in. I used DFK, and got a lot of discount at Banobagi without DFK’s help and I paid the cheapest. DFK took care of me just as nice as a person who paid a lot more. So I honestly don’t get why you always mention how DFK get paid like they’re stealing people’s money for the services they provide. In my opinion, since I actually went through DFK and finished my PS with them in good terms, I say they’re okay for what they offer to first timers and for people going alone, like me. Would I go through them again if I decide to get another PS? Probably not, since I already know my way around SK and which clinics I want to check.

  14. You already got it done? Or did u already give down payment to secure a spot? If you’ve done neither, it doesn’t hurt to ask for the promo.. girl! I’m all about getting a good deal! Hahaa

  15. My Dr. recommended it on my in person consultation. They didn’t at first when I sent them photos of me, but it’s cuz they need to examine and actually see your face in person to determine it first.

  16. I can’t really recommend a lot of other clinics since I’ve only gone to one myself which is Banobagi. If you want other options other than silicone for bridge (which is what Banobagi only offers I asked), there’s View that my friends went and got their nose done and they chose to have Goretex for their bridge. One of them didn’t like the aftercare though, she said one of the nurses were mean and rude when she was in pain, and they put the goretex in her nose crooked but the doctor fixed it after they took out the cast so all is well. If you want natural looking nose, hands down go to Banobagi. I feel like no one can tell I got my nose done but always say something is different like I look like I got skinnier or more glowy lol. And Banobagi Dr. Lee Hyuntaek did recommended a little bit of alar reduction on my in person consultation to make the nostrils not as wide which I totally agreed with. Hahaa

  17. Thank you!! Before I started researching about PS in SouthKorea, I honestly had no idea where to even start from, or where to find clinics so I went with Docfinderkorea. And yea there’s a lot of negative reviews about them and most of those people didn’t even go through them  they just didnt like DFK cuz they get paid by those clinics.. duhh?!? They’re doing their job right? It would be crazy and sketchy if they don’t get paid for what they do, so I didn’t care much about that, and plus I researched and asked for the promo discount at banobagi so I still paid the lowest I would’ve paid if I chose to go anywhere else. You just gotta be smarter than the average. I didn’t go consult anywhere else. It was already overwhelming for me to decide between the 5 clinics DFK provided me and I just wanted to get it over with and when I saw the before and after photos of Banobagi, I was so sure to choose them while ignoring all those sh*tty reviews without any base or photos to prove the sh*t job they got. Like, one of the list have them blacklisted just because the doctor didn’t take an hour to consult with her about her nose?? Like D@mn, is her nose that bad that it needs an hour of conversation just about how to fix her nose?! Maybe or maybe not, but that’s too excessive in my opinion but then again ALL reviews are people’s opinion so always take it with a grain of salt. I chose to go with them even after I read those nonsense review and I’m glad. Do what your gut tells you and what you already had in mind the first time, cuz at the end of the day, you’ll be the one staring at your own reflection hun, not these people in the internet :tup:

  19. So since they already gave you a quote, I suggest to email them back explaining that you came across their website and you want to know if the 30% discount can be included if you send them a down payment before feb (which is when the promo ends) and also ask them how much would the down payment be to secure the getting the promo.. ask that all in just 1 email. Let me know and good luck! for me, they didn’t provide an exact amount, they added the discount in front of me because the Dr has to see you and examine you in person just incase you would need Osteotomy or alar reduction for nose, but nothing is sure until the Dr sees you. What I did to budget the estimated cost was, I added all the possible surgeries I might have took that and took the discount my self and that’s how much money I brought with me. I got alar reduction and silicon implant for my rhinoplasty and the total was $3960 that
    ’s including the 30% off.
