  1. She had a bad experience, I don’t think a drop on the price would change anyone’s mind if they weren't treated nicely for their first meeting. It’s so unfortunate but it happens.

  2. Wow. I’m sorry for your negative experience, wether it’s from Banobagi or a different clinic, I would’ve hated to feel that way if I was getting a consultation for my face too.. but I honestly can’t believe that’s how they treated you because my experience with them was totally the opposite. Even when I was almost 20mins late for my 2nd appointment post op for the light thing, they were accommodating and nice. But as for the prices, I already knew Banobagi were a lot more expensive than the other clinics so I wasn’t surprised at all if they gave you a high price, I’m not sure if you did your research first before going to them that’s why you were surprised? but I do agree that the consultant shouldn’t have been passive aggressive about it either way. It sucks to read negative things about Banobagi because of my positive experience with them, it’s shocking and unbelievable but then again, to each her own and I know that no clinic is perfect. Btw It’s good to post up negative and positive reviews on Realself website too so future patients can also see others experiences. That’s where I looked up clinics and real reviews since purseforum isn’t as reliable as it may seem. Where did you end up going btw?

  3. I just got mine done and I’m almost on my 3rd month post op on the 18th this December ^_^. I had short, bulbous, and small bridge before and I got silicon for the bridge, ear cartilage for my nose tip, and alarplasty at Banobagi for $3960 (they had a promo on their website for 30% for rhinoplasty at the time, they’re having another one for January til the end of February for 25% off for rhinoplasty just saying). Anyways, It’s not as scary as what people say. I went by myself and I had lots of fun. i think learning how to use the subway is the best thing because walking around all day everyday will help lessens the swelling. I have before & after pics if you wanna see them

  4. You’re welcome! But like I said, still do your research. If you haven’t reached out to DFK, try to message Banobagi first on Facebook and ask about the discounts and perks that goes with it. Go to the websites and always check for new updates. ^_^

  5. The Indonesian girl and her mother in-law that I became friends with while staying at the banobagi guesthouse told me they ended up choosing banobagi because of the discounts online too, she told me she just sent them an email or messaged them & sent in a deposit before the deadline of the promo. I went through DocfinderKorea, they give you 5 clinics they manage or prefer for you to go to, but they dont tell you if any of the clinics are having a promo at all (kinda disheartening in my opinion because you trust them to give u a good deal going with them but you really dont, but other than that part, my experience with them was fine.). Good thing I still researched on my own and always visited the clinics’ websites they gave me to choose from and I ran into Banobagi’s July promo for 30%. So I emailed DFK ASAP and asked them if i chooseBanobagi will the promo still work or should I just go with banobagi instead of using DFK and they said promo is included too.

  6. Oh I saw the picture of his face and automatically thought that was Dr. Oh hahaa. But either way, I’ve heard good stories about banobagi for fc, my friend that I met from here and kakaotalk, he end up not going to banobagi because of the timing and his scheduling but he said it’s definitely his top choice and still would recommend them.

  7. I went to Banobagi and had Dr. hyuntaek do my rhinoplasty and alar reduction just September 18 of this year and I love how mine turned out. I, on the other hand actually READ and ASKED the translator what I was signing about before the operation took place & I definitely heard Devon say that “after the surgery, give it atleast 3-6 months post op for the swelling to go down, and if there’s something you don’t like at all, please let us know and we will fix it free of charge, but it’s good for 1 year only.” And I remember asking if that 1 year includes the 3-6 months of deswelling? And she said “Yes, that’s including the 3-6 months deswelling period” so it’s really 6-9 months of warranty lol but either way, atleast there’s a warranty, not like here in the US lol. The first week post op, even though I looked like a mess, I already felt very happy because my nose bridge was higher than ever and my nose didn’t bleed abnormally post op and I honestly didn’t feel pain. Right after the operation, I even walked to get fried chicken at the convenience store located behind the guesthouse (I wore a mask of ofcourse). Just a heads up, you’ll read a lot of blacklisted clinics and have a bad impression at first, I know, because that’s how I felt when I read them on some of the posts here, but when I replied to that girl that posted her “blacklist” she said it’s cuz the Dr didn’t take his time with her ‍♀️.. which for me is a dumb excuse . I went with what I felt at the time and that’s to trust my gut instead of letting these negativity get to my head and have regrets afterwards, because at the end of the day, it’s your own face and money. For me, I’m definitely a Banobagi fan and I’m already planning my trip to fly and visit them 2019 for a genioplasty next. I know that they are pricey as mentioned above, but I always go on their website monthly to check for promotions they give out. They’re having a FC promo for 30% off til end of feb and that’s with their head FC Dr, they’re also having rhino for 25% off. when I went for my rhinoplasty, they were running a 30% off for July and so I only paid $3960 for rhino + alar reduction. Like I said, I did my OWN research and only took this forum and its posts with a grain of salt, at the end of the day, I went with what I felt was right at the moment and went with it, it’s risky but that goes for all experiences for any kind of plastic surgery. So, Goodluck shopping & I hope your surgery goes well with which ever clinic you go to!

  8. So you’d rather get a chin implant instead of genioplasty with your square jaw reduction with Namu? Or do they offer different prices for vline as separate parts of the lower part of the face instead of a whole price for a vline which is jaw and chin? Sorry for the questions hahaa

  9. For Namu when u said Chin -3.000.000 is that chin implant or genioplasty? I’m definitely setting my mind into getting genioplasty next year and for now I’ve only gotten a hold of Opera which is the same price as Namu if that’s genio not implant. I know banobagi’s price for genio is something I can’t afford unless they have a promotion on their website.. I might just keep checking them up to see if I can catch a promo though hahaa I heard they’re really good at FC.

  10. Oh wow! Yes I do remember you from the other forum Hahaa you’re welcome and I’m so glad you’re happy with your new nose! At that time, I literally just wanted to let people know about the promotion they were giving out to help people save money cuz I know I was on a budget and knowing how good and natural looking they do PS in banobagi, why would anyone NOT go for it you know? Lol I sound like someone that was paid to say that but atleast we both know I’m not. I just really love my new nose and how good they made it so of course I’m going to be proudly be a Banobagi fan ^_^

  11. Hahaa no worries, I totally get what you mean. But no, I’m not a promoter or those model people, Before I got my nose done with them though, I just went to their website and checked it out all the time and they just happen to be doing 30% off Rhinoplasty and fat graft for the month of July which was perfect timing for me lol like the most recent promo they have is for a facelift I think. I also follow their Facebook page and they’re pretty good at updating what promotions they are giving out for the month ^_^

  12. I also got the 30% discount and ended up paying $3,960 for silicone bridge and ear cartilage tip instead of 5K. I love my new nose from Banobagi

  13. Yes she’s a German translator, but she speaks English as well. But if you speak German then that’s awesome because she speaks it fluently hahaa. Another thing, take all the comments here with a grain of salt, this forum is so iffy, I learned that after I got my nose done and was actually in SK doing my surgery. That girl who posted negative about Banobagi didn’t even consult with them yet, she simply said she blacklists all clinics that doesn’t have a long consultation time, I didn’t mind not having a short consultation time with Dr. Lee because I know he’s the head nose surgeon, I was there and I can tell he’s observant and looked at me carefully, listened to what I wanted and showed/told me how what he can do to make it happen before doing the surgery. So yeah, not everything u read here are correct, they’re are all people’s opinion and own experiences that may differ from other people or yourself ^_^

  14. Actually, I’ve never gone to Opera yet, I’m planning to go with them next year for my genioplasty. I’ve gotten in contact with them and I confirmed that the operation I want is around my price range for sure, but that’s where I’m at right now with them.

    Rhinoplasty Experience:
I got my rhinoplasty + alar reduction done at Banobagi actually, and I liked their staff. They’re actually kinda pricey for me originally but I got lucky and saw the July promo they had on their website for 30% off for rhinoplasty. I went through DocFinderKorea and they said they honor the clinic’s promo as well. Some people will say don’t go through DFK because supposedly they put the price up to get a cut from the surgery from the clinic they are partners with, but if that’s the case, then how come I was still given the same 30% discount for my rhinoplasty total? I honestly don’t think they got any cut from what I paid, but they still took care of me. Maybe they are paid by their partner clinics some way or another, but I honestly don’t care because I feel like they’re doing a great job anyway and I had a great time ^_^ but that’s just my opinion.

  15. My nose area was still numb since I just had the surgery an hour or so prior, but I didn’t feel anything the 1st night I ate fried chicken

2nd day was when I couldn’t really stretch my mouth too wide for fried chicken because I got alar reduction I had to be careful because of the stitches, and that’s also when the bruising and swelling starts to appear as well. I didn’t bruise bad, it just looked like I had light brownish/green-almost-light-yellow eyeshadow on but it wasn’t noticeable because my nose bandage and tape would distract u first lol but everyone’s different, some people get black and blue though.

BTW I knew I wasn’t going to be able to breath through my nose for a period of time after the surgery so I practiced a couple of months before to sleep and breath through my mouth sitting up on my bed Hahahaa it’s weird but it helped a lot! I was able to sleep just fine and have a comfortable post op time and healed pretty fast haha.

3rd day Post-op I started going out and exploring Seoul I always wore a mask but u don’t have to, I just did cuz I’m scared it might get infected from germs and stuff hahaa idk. I stopped wearing the mask once they took out the bandages which was the 5th day post op. ^_^

  16. Hey, I just finished my rhinoplasty surgery last month and I feel like I had a similar problem when I was just starting to plan my surgery and where to even start.. Hahaa so just like you, I saw those YouTube videos as well and decided to reach out to DFK. For me, since I was set and determined to get a Rhinoplasty just around April 2018 and my goal surgery month was September, I had such little time to research and I was also limited on going online to research about anything because I work in an island in Alaska over the summer where there are no cell towers and barely can get any cell signal or WiFi. So I only had 5 months to get the ball rolling, whenever we would go in town away from the island I would email DFK regarding the procedure that I wanted and stuff. I didn’t know about this forum yet, but I honestly think that everyone’s needs are all different so DFK was a good choice for me, as a first timer doing PS, first time traveling to SK alone, and helped me along the way while healing. Just like you, I have that wide alar filipino nose but since your half white, you probably have a tall bridge compared to mine. Lol DFK provided me 5 clinics I can go to that they are affiliated with that are safe along with the prices and suggestions, and they were; Banobagi, View, Cinderella, JK, and ID Hospital. I was originally gonna go with Cinderella because of youtubers Celia and the price was not as high as Banobagi, but I took my time with responding back which clinic I want to choose and kept checking back on the clinics websites, since I have slow internet in the island I tried to research as much as I can and ended up choosing Banobagi for their proportionate yet natural style on their rhinoplasty b&a photos. I also came across their promo of the month on their website saying 30% off for rhinoplasty with their top nose surgeon Dr. Lee Hyuntaek, to secure the deal I must transfer 5%-10% deposit to Banobagi before July 31st... so that was a no brainer for me. I emailed DFK and asked them if they honored Banobagi’s promo or should I talk directly to Banobagi instead and they told me they honor the promo as well and that was a done deal for me. Once I got to SK, did my quick consultation with Dr. Lee and we discussed my ideal nose, and he mentioned some add-on like chin filler so my new tall nose will harmonize with my chin proportion, I like how he cares about how the whole face would harmonize and not just give a pretty nose, anyways, the total price for my rhinoplasty surgery was $3960.00 w/ the 30% discount, I paid in full, in cash, and in USD (ask your clinic first if they do that though). They don’t do monthly payments specially with foreigners, maybe they do with locals, idk I’m not a local so idc lol. DFK helped me out with transportation to and from the airport, moving to my Airbnbs, and to and from the doctor’s appointments. I learned how to take the train so I went exploring by myself, I suggest taking the train, traffic sucks for taxi lol and a lot of walking helps to deswell and heal faster because blood is circulating anyway. On my 4th day post op when they removed my nose stint and tape, it looked great I had no brusing anymore (secret is walking!) On the 11th day they removed all the stitches and it did not hurt at all, the youtubers hyped the pain up but it wasn’t bad. Hope this helps you ^_^

  17. Well, my inspiration was just to have a tall bridge and high tip since I have a flat & wide typical filipino nose. My mom’s nose is tall and also my half brother since he’s half white, while I got my nose from my dad. I told my rhinoplasty surgeon what I wanted to have but to make it still look natural, don’t want pinched alars. I’m glad I put my faith in Dr. Lee because it’s my dream nose. It’s only my 18th day post op and it’s not fully healed all the way but I love it already. It’s like the best version of my own nose and it’s still me. But here’s a motivation picture of Ariana Grande’s b&a, look at her nose and how her new nose suites her features, I feel like that hahaa I know my nose doesn’t look like her but my point is my new nose fits me, just like how her new nose fits her perfectly.

  18. I actually contacted Opera before as well but for a genioplasty and the price they gave me was very affordable compared to other clinics, and they have good before and after photos. So that’s why I’m planning to set up a surgery date with them next year. Hahaa But I did get my rhinoplasty done last month at Banobagi with a 30% off promo they were giving out if you submit $500 deposit before July 31st. Without the promotion at Banobagi for alar reduction + rhinoplasty (silicon and ear cartilage) = 6.27 Million KRW give or take. I honestly think you got a good deal on yours prices ^_^

  19. I just got my rhinoplasty + alar reduction with Dr. Lee Hyuntaek at Banobagi last month and I love my new nose. I know that the shape of it now will still change and final result/look is going to show around December but I’m in love with it already. I asked for my ideal nose which is tall bridge w/ a high tip, but I don’t want my alars to look pinched, I still want it to look like mine but smaller and Dr. Lee made it happen. I got a good discount because they were having a 35% promo on July for rhinoplasty so I went for it, sent the $500 deposit, and set my surgery September. If you guys have any questions, feel free to ask away ^_^ and btw Goodluck to finding the perfect clinics for your guys’ rhinoplasty!

  20. Literally right after my surgery, I walked to KFC and bought myself some chicken cuz u was starving. I had a mask on so no one can see it anyway. But to go out and explore Seoul, about my 3rd day post op cuz swelling was going down already and walking from 12noon til 8pm everyday helps the healing much faster in my opinion. Learn how to take the train and walk to Myeongdong, Namsan Tower, go to Kwangjang market.. if you’re embarrassed just wear a mask

  21. To be honest, That person that posted her blacklisted clinics I feel like is very unreasonable, and they didn’t even have good reasons why those clinics were blacklisted in the first place! I almost doubted myself for going with Banobagi after I saw that list as well and I already had put down a deposit at the time, but I’m loving how my nose turned out and it’s only 18 days post op. Learning from my own experience, the forums here are only good and helpful IF you’re reading about people’s review on their consults, their before and after surgery stories, and if they’re actively replying back when people ask them questions, other than that, I don’t believe most unless they have a reason that makes sense to me. Goodluck with window shopping for clinic & consults! Things I know for sure that will help before consulting for surgery is to 1. Surround yourself with positive and supportive people, and 2. Go to your consultations with a positive mind.. and you’re going to be fine

  22. If you’re staying at the Banobagi guesthouse, it was a great location! It’s close by the train station and a lot of food places and about Banobagi itself, I feel like my consultant Devon and the other staff are nice too. I’m such a baby when it comes to injections, banobagi’s German translator held my hand so I won’t be scared. I feel like everyone there is comforting. Yes, I did have Dr. Lee as my nose surgeon and on our consultation we had Devon to translate in English for me, I feel like everything was fast, but thoroughly, the main question he asked me is “what kind of nose did I want to achieve with this surgery?”, and I just told him slimmer nose and a tall bridge, and he explained how he can make that happen and added that I need to lose weight so my chin will even up with my new nose and also to get a chin filler for now and get genioplasty afterwards once I’m used to the new nose and have a feel of how my chin will look with fillers. And asked me if I had anymore questions at all but I didn’t, so me and Devon proceeded back to a different room for payment.

  23. Ok, so I literally just finished my surgery Tuesday the 18th in the afternoon and today marks my 6th day post op. I honestly think that if it’s your first time getting PS here in Korea, DFK is a good place to start since they pretty much handled everything for me, pick up/drop off/rides in between airbnbs, post op medications, scheduling follow up appointments, any questions u may have, there’s WhatsApp and they’re pretty on top of thir replies, there might’ve been little hiccups along the way, but they were minor and fixable, but other than that, I’m having a great time here in SK. Btw I chose to go to banobagi and they had a promo for July and so I got a big discount from banobagi’s Website that I had to confirm with DFK as well.

  24. F2F consultation and bargaining is the only way to go. If only I had this forum to help me sooner before, I wouldn’t have gone through DFK I think..
