Clinics that offer Hairline Lowering Surgery?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am looking for a good/reputable clinic in Seoul that does hairline lowering/ forehead reduction ASAP as I'm on a semester break. It's not a common procedure people get, so the lack of information has made it very hard for me to find accurate quotes and reviews. But my forehead is pretty high (around 8cm), and I want to lower it down by 2cm. The surgery is done by making an incision on your hairline to bring it down (not hair transplant). I have done hair transplant in the past and the results weren't satisfactory. A lot of my donor hair fell out + I don't have a lot of hair for full on transplant again anyway. But I might do transplant with the hairline lowering if it could help with shaping the forehead after and hiding the incision scar. I know ID does this (I honestly don't want to even consult there) but wanted to hear other options and it would be very helpful if someone can give me quotes as well (in the u.s. it's very expensive). I am currently staying in Beijing for 2 weeks and wanted to get it done here, but the hospitals are not as established as Korea and there is limited information in English.
Below is the description of the procedure that I'm talking about.

someone actually just pmed me about this procedure and i finally responded to it (flooded mail box gotta delete old messages for new to show up i think)

Anywaysss its actually an easy procedure to find. Its one of the two available forehead lifting techniques. So most commonly surgeons use the endoscopic forehead lift technique. But when a patient has hair loss at the hair line due to aging or androgen alopecia or whatever, they will suggest a forehead lift via the incisional method which includes lowering of the hairline. Soooo you just gotta look for an anti aging surgeon. Non anti aging specialists can perform the endoscopic forehead lift if they are familiar with the technique but usually not the incisional one as its more difficult (also more expensive). Anti aging specialists will almost always know how to perform the incisional forehead lift with hairline lowering

my friend in Seoul got hairline correction surgery before and I think the results were great. If you are interested the clinic is called Dana http://danamv.com/us/index.php
My friend told me that they have English consultants and the Doctor speaks fluent English so she didn't even need a translator. And translators are not to be trusted because they are usually working for that particular clinic. Hope this helped

I heard that Mojelim was pretty big and popular but when I tried to contact them online and on the phone, they couldn't speak English that well...so I ended up trying Dana. They were really nice and all but most importantly, they spoke fluent english.
And like you said, their Head director speaks fluent english which makes everything easier. Finally found a legit place to get my hairline done. Thanks for your info!!

I saw that one of your options was ID Hospital and wanted to share my experience with you since I just had ffs surgery with them. I previously had forehead reduction about a year ago in the US but wasn't happy with the results. Despite the surgery, my forehead still remained large and the hairline they operated on was a mess. So i decided to have a revision at ID(forehead reduction and some tweaks on my forehead). The features I had before caused me dysphoria and was stopping me from living as my best self in society. I can honestly say that the team went above and beyond my expectations. They not only changed my face but also my life. The doctors at ID listen to what you desire and give input on what you should do to have the most symmetrical and well balanced face. I can speak for myself and many others who i saw come in and out of the hospital. I know that many of us fear spending money and not getting the desired results so I can relate to how you are feeling right now because that used to be me. If you have any questions feel free to contact me! I will be happy to give you more insight on any concerns you may have.

Namu does is, one girl on kakao did it there and is happy with the results.
I also saw this clinic called Gyalumham (a clinic that was featured in a korean youtuber's fc video) does it. Don't know if that one is good though.

congrats!

I've been looking into this myself. Have you thought about hair transplants as well?

I have been debating between hairline lowering and or FUE hair transplant. I don't think the bigger clinics are known for speciality procedures tbh, and so far i feel most of the drama happens at these big hospitals, glad it worked out for you, but it's not my cup of boba tea.

I'm leaning towards more speciality places and mid size places. I don't want to be just another number.

I've been digging through threads also noticed that Namu was mentioned a lot for hair line lowering. But thanks for pointing out that other spot @Aniati I've been chatting with namu and they seem pretty experienced in forehead reduction.

My forehead is pushing past five head to six =P

doesn't look like there is much if any noticeable scarring from the B & A pics namu sent, but I am also thinking about doubling up and doing hair transplant along the incision to camouflaging further after 6 months later. But if Namu's work turns out well then may not be needed.
