edward30 Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 I'm sorry for my English, it maybe not very good but I want to share my experience with you very much. I had two-jaw operation in Seoul in March and very happy with my results. My story before the surgery. About 10 years ago I had jaw trauma. My bite wasn’t perfect before and after that trauma, it was even worse. My lower jaw began to move to the left and as time passed by all my face moved to the left as well, making everything look very asymmetrical. I’m a big fan of modern Korean culture and interested in absolutely everything that connects with k-pop, k-beauty, k-industry and so on. One day, when I watched Youtube I saw a video about plastic surgery in Korea. It was one of series about plastic surgery and the name was Let Me In. The results of each operation was amazing, but the most amazing doctor for me was Dr. Oh from Regen. From that time it became my dream – to go to Korea and have a surgery with Dr.Oh. Some time after, I was able to move to Korea to live there but to have a plastic surgery was still a bit expensive for me. In June last year I went to Regen for the first time. I was very excited before meeting Dr.Oh and just as I expected, he was the best! He explained every detail of my problem, he said what I need and why. Unfortunately, I couldn’t have an operation that time, as the price was a bit higher than I planned so decided to wait a bit more and save more money. During the whole year I found more and more defects in my face, I noticed that my eyes are not balanced and that my nose is very huge, I wanted to have several operations with two-jaw. I also thought that even my ears are not symmetrical. My face brought a lot of discomfort to me and make me feel very insecure. It also was one of the main problem why I couldn’t find a girlfriend. I felt very lonely and very miserable. My consultation and before operation period. In the beginning of this year I could finally save enough money for my operation. By the way, I have a friend, she is a youtuber and when I told her that I’m ready to have a surgery she is interested to go with me and film everything. My second consultation was in February 27. I met Dr.Oh again. I was very exciting about having the surgery but after facebow we found out that my crown on my last 3 teeth should be removed as after the surgery my teeth wouldn’t touch each other which would cause wrong bone healing. I planned to go to my home country that time, so I decided to wait a bit more and remove crowns at home with my dentist. In March 11 I came back to Dr.Oh, everything looks good and I had to wait 2 more weeks when a new facebow is ready. In March 25 a day before my operation I came to Regen again. I passed my medical checkup and they installed metallic wires on my teeth. In March 26 I had my operation. It was in the morning from 11:30 till around 15:00. All I remember was anesthesiology doctor and several nurses around me. When my surgery finished, a nurse bring me on a wheelchair to my recovery room. Me rehabilitation. The nurse didn’t let me sleep some hours after the surgery. She had to put elastics on the metallic wires in my mouth that evening but couldn’t and Dr.Oh said to wait till next morning. My first night was very difficult. My face was banded and I couldn’t open my mouth. The next morning she bring me some soy milk with a tea spoon but it was really difficult to use a teaspoon and I asked for a syringe. Pouring with a syringe was much easier and that was my first meal after the operation. When Dr.Oh visited me, he put on elastics and a plastic splint. Dr.Oh said to stay one more day in the hospital, so in total I was there 2 nights. On first week I came for drain removal, dressing and my first after operation laser treatment. A night after my right side was very swollen and I was very afraid but assistant told it will go away, so 2 or 3 days swelling went away. 2 weeks after I came for stitches removal and management control with Dr.Oh. He noticed some liquid accumulation above my right cheek, I was afraid that it’s pus or infection, but Dr.Oh said that it’s not dangerous. He prescribed me some more antibiotics for 2 weeks. Elastics and splint I wear 24 hours a day, splint I could take out only when I eat and then put it again. One month after I came for another meeting with Dr.Oh. I felt much better. I made another set of CT and X-ray shoots and on our consultation with Dr.Oh I found out that my bones are not fixed with titanium plates and that actually was a good news for me because I don’t have to remove them some time later, so splint and elastics are very important in my recovery. According to my CT and X-rays Dr.Oh said that my bones are healing very well. He said that I can remove splint in May 26 and in July 26 when I go back for another meeting with him I can remove elastics. Now I don’t keep splint in my mouth but still have elastics. Change short elastics for night and long for day. I feel much better now, I can talk little by little and eat very soft food. Dr.Oh moved my upper jaw forward for 3.4mm and moved back my lower jaw for 16.7mm, so the total difference is 20mm. This operation put all everything on the right position, my nose is higher now and my eyes look more symmetrical I think even my ears look better now. Dr.Oh said before operation that I need no rhinoplasty but that time I was very upset about my face and wanted to change everything. Now I see that he was right.
edward30 Posted May 27, 2019 Author Posted May 27, 2019 I continue here... Today is 2 months since I have my operation with Dr.Oh and I’m very happy with my result. I think it’s very satisfying. I don't feel insecure and my self-confidence increased a lot. Also, my family noticed that before the surgery I had some speech defects and now my speech is very clear. I’ll post more pics when meet Dr.Oh again. Thank you for reading and good luck everyone!
hawkeye99 Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 This is an incredible transformation! You look very handsome!
smaris Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 thank you so much for sharing your honest review. I also have bone problem and looking for a good surgeon for me and you helped a lot! Thank you so much for your experience!
gqwiththesteez Posted May 30, 2019 Posted May 30, 2019 Hey man, from another guy here, your results are envious. I am going to get a jaw reduction as well but mine isn't misaligned like yours, just a wide mandible area. Dr. Oh is one of the surgeons I am considering for my procedure. Thanks for the share, hope your new look boosts your confidence.
dot Posted May 30, 2019 Posted May 30, 2019 I had a very good discussion with Dr Oh today about custom cheek implants to create a high cheekbone look. I didn’t even come in to discuss implants, initially wanted a fat graft but we just drifted there on his advice I would highly recommend atleast consulting with him about your concerns
kartika333 Posted May 31, 2019 Posted May 31, 2019 I am going to do a zygoma reduction and jaw surgery on october at regen as well with dr oh. May i ask are u full asleep while surgery or half awake ?
edward30 Posted June 20, 2019 Author Posted June 20, 2019 yes I personally found him very professional
edward30 Posted June 20, 2019 Author Posted June 20, 2019 first of all, I got two-jaw which is different from your surgery, second - of course full asleep! he cut my bone, how is it possible to be even half awake? I was out for about 3 hrs and I don't think if any surgeon would proceed this surgery under half sleep anesthesia
nanceds Posted December 17, 2019 Posted December 17, 2019 I'm happy for your result! On the contrary, my surgery with Dr. Oh was a total failure. The thread lift left me with many indentations and lines, my face is ruined.
alolanvenice Posted December 17, 2019 Posted December 17, 2019 I saw your video on youtube posted by Regen plastic surgery Gangnam Korea (channel). He did a great job reducing your face by almost 2 cm.
