Plastic surgery in Japan?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys.
Just wondering if anyone has done research about plastic surgery in Japan. I believe they would be good at it since they have very advanced medical care. However, I don’t think they cater to foreigners so please, if anyone knows anything, share. I am interested to go.
The only clinic I managed to get in contact with so far is Plaza Clinic.

I don't have any personal experience but I know that double eyelid surgery is super popular there and most Japanese people get it done in Japan instead of traveling to another country so there must be some good places.

Japanese are way more honest than Korean, if the change you want isn't huge, i would recommend Japan.
gotta say they generally respect foreigners (European & American), unlike Korean treating us as cashcows.
(dunno if Japan has caught up their Plastic Surgery level with South Korea in 2019 though, Japan isn't a factory country so...)

As a Nisei living in Japan as a Japanese American expat, I'm biased but agree that the Japanese tend to be way more transparent and honest than the Chinese and Koreans when it comes to money and biz. But I grew up in LA, so I knew how to handle that sly side of Koreans by spending some time in Koreatown and Chinatown.

I did consider Japan and did a few consults in Tokyo but ultimately decided on Korea since it's only about 1.5-hour flight.

I had eyelid surgery by Dr Hwang at Hyundai Aesthetics and was happy with my choice in terms of the experience, results, and savings of deciding to do it in Korea.

Even though the Japanese are not too crazy about plastic surgery as the Koreans, my native Japanese friends also agreed, the Koreans are good at 3 things non-koreans want: kpop, plastic surgery and consumer gadgets, better to get those things in Korea, if it's an option.

k-poop is literally poop (sh*t), its just Asian Justin Biebers.
you call that "good at"?
good at making noise? fair enough XD

saying "non-koreans want k-poop" is as absurd as saying "non-canadians want Justin Bieber".
none of the people i know want that crap.

For facial contouring, I feel that the before-and-after pictures I've seen from some of the Japanese clinics are too faint. However, their surgeries for eyelids are nice and natural-looking. I'd go there to get my eyes done (if I needed to), but that's about it.

I mean you are entitled to your music preferences but I don't really see the point in attacking an entire industry on a plastic surgery forum?

i wasn't the one who started that unrelated topic on plastic surgery forum,
as a non-korean, i feel being insulted when s/he bullsh*t "non-koreans want k-poop".

K-pop is a large export from South Korea. Many foreigners like k-pop. She didn't mean "every single non-Korean person in the world spends every second of their life craving to be blessed by k-pop". It's not that big of a deal.

i dunno what's your definition of "many", and how you get that idea.
perhaps you're surrounded by deaf people, or u can only see their fans being noisy in internet.
if you do some research u'll find out its hated by many. (just like Justin Bieber, One Direction, Lady Gaga etc)
suppose they get million fans but hated by billion, can you still call that "many foreigners like"?

https://www.quora.com/Why-do-many-people-hate-K-pop

let's be realistic, crappy rap (also plastic surgery young idols) can hardly get fans from elderly, metal heads, classic lovers.
just those groups already occupy a lot of the population.

k-poop fans in internet are as misleading as Wonjin's fake google reviews.

Plastic Surgery is supposed to make things beautiful, could we stop this disgusting topic in this forum?
