alisaw Posted October 21 Posted October 21 I am not entirely sure if this has a name for the surgery but I am trying to help a friend narrow down some clinics. She has an issue with her cheekbones. To me, it is hardly noticeable but she insists it is awful. One cheekbone is higher than the other and she claims her face is misshapen because of it. Thus far, she is looking to contact the Made Young PS, Pride PS, Mind PS, and Zero One PS. These are the clinics that have stood out the most to her for cheekbone work. She is just not sure what type of surgery this would be or what it is called. She wants to make sure prior to contacting them that she has the right information so the quotes for pricing are correct and nothing gets lost in translation. Quote
ell3n Posted Thursday at 01:22 PM Posted Thursday at 01:22 PM Well she would have three options really : Cheekbone Shaving, which is the go-to and usually the one people opt for as it is easiest and cheapest. Cheek Osteotomy, a more complex surgery involving cutting the bone and rotating it. Implant Augmentation, this is where the cheekbone that is higher up remains and the other is brought up using an implant to match it. Quote
tikicat76 Posted Friday at 02:47 PM Posted Friday at 02:47 PM In most cases, shaving is done to the bone to make it match the other side. This isn't a simple surgery and not so cheap either. You for sure will want to make sure your friend finds a higher quality doctor for this, and make sure the doctor can work on her face shape. Quote
