I can only guess what they did... But,
Most Korean actresses only get epicanthy and double eyelid.
Dawn and Ayumi (when she was wide eyed that is) probably got levator procedure. However, in pics that other people take of Dawn, she doesn't look like she had the levator procedure done... it looks like it might just be photoshop. This makes your eyes just open wider.
Ayumi has had another makeover recently... looks like she undid the levator procedure.

Some girls get gigantic eyes afterwards because they're lids were heavy in the past... some very little difference because their eyelids were thin to bsegin with and the lift is about the same.

so, if your eyes are fatty, chances are your eyes will open up a lot.
Epicanthy also makes your eyes longer looking. while double eyelid makes them wider.

Suture method lifts the eye less... but every other procedure is about the same to each other. It's just if you have excessive skin, like a lot of older people, you will need the full incision.

The crease size will not determine the size of your eye... so for instance, getting a small crease vs. getting a large crease should not affect the size of the opening of your eye.

I hope this helps.

Either way, when you show up to the doctor, he will discuss what is the best crease based on your face and eyes.

hahaha! Thanks everyone!

I am really relieved to know that the size of your eyes does not really depend on the method chosen or the style of the crease!

Maskd- you mentioned in the earlier posts that you didn't really like Dr. Chuang's double eyelids. Could you go into more detail as to why you didn't like them?

NIni- you are too funny! Dawn's face is such a mystery. I do like her nose though.

viola,

I mentioned also that I was probably mistaken.

About a month and a half ago, I got partial incisional hear in the States... I had no idea how long it took to heal and to look pretty. Mine are just starting to look a lot better.

The people that I saw that got it done simply hadn't healed yet from their surgery. I was really too quick to judge and shouldn't say things like that... because I was simply wrong.

Btw, it's of my opinion that her photos are photoshopped, only because pictures by others sometimes look A LOT different... and also, her skin is always poreless in every photo, and the sides of her nostrils usually have this blurred look.

For epicanthy, you will see more pink on the inner corner of your eye.
For lateral cantho, I have heard that all it does is create scarring at the outer corners of your eyes and has less than 5% of the effect of the epicanthy.

I've seen pics of the scarring for the outer corners... it's not very pretty...
If you go on the Soompi forum, every girl who has gotten her outer corners done say that it is worthless. This is the same information that I got from a number eye specialists here in the states.

nini, I really don't know about dawn... as I don't know her personally, and she's just another entity of the web to me...
For all I know she could just be opening her eyes wide for pics... or photoshop... it's impossible to know... as she is just a blogger.

But, I will tell viola this:
Usually levator procedure is performed when patients have ptosis... the doctor can test for this by some little technique...
If you don't have ptosis, people rarely do this procedure.

Thank you Maskd! I don't think I'm considering the levator muscle procedure- it seems a bit too drastic.

If I end up doing either the three-point method or partial incision method, what would be the healing time before I look presentable? Is 2-3 weeks enough for me to go back to school?

I am planning to go to Dr. Chuang in December after final exams. Is anyone else thinking about going to Dr. Chuang in Taiwan around that time???

2-3 weeks should be fine. It will be a bit deep looking, and maybe slightly high, but this usually can be disguised by makeup...

surgery healing is quite an annoyance... :Push:

I don't think levator is a serious procedure... it just might not be necessary.

Do you guys think it's a good idea for me to bring in pictures of celeb noses that I like to my consultation and see what Dr. Chuang thinks?

I really want a high, thin bridge with a slight curve upwards (like a white nose.. think Nicole Kidman, just not AS dramatic). Do you guys think Nicole Kidman's nose would look good on an Asian girl? Just out of curiousity.. :P

Maskd- when you went to Dr. Chuang's office, did you see any more "dramatic" and caucasian looking noses that are really thin/tall and pointy?

THANK YOU everyone!
