Hi! I just came across this site and very excited cos I really found lots of helpful information here. I am also considering rhinoplasty in S. Korean in the beginning of next year. I am living in NY now and doing my homework bf heading to Korean. I gathered some information from some of the Chinese rhinoplasty website also. I want to share with everybody here of what I have. There is a guy in Beauty100.com whose nose got really messed up by one of the most famous Doc in China and he came back from Korean for nose revision just two months ago. His Doc is Dr Jung . Same as here, ppls in China seem only know Dr Jung, Dr Kim fr Bk (he already done quite a few noses for the ppls in the Chinese website) and Dr Park fr Dream clinic. Anyway, the guy said the result although was not perfect but satisfied cos his nose was really bad and he didn’t expect too much. Then, he went to Beijing to see Dr Kim from CK and had another revision. This time his nose got a big improvement. So I guess Dr kim fr CK may be a choice also?? J
The following webpage is found in some HK website and not sure if anybody here has seen it bf but it is really cool. It is a program in HK called “make a lady more beautiful” They choose some “B-list” actresses and send them to Korean for plastic surgery. They report all the details even including the photos taken during the surgery. Wowowo!

http://bbs.sgchinese.com/TopicOther.asp?t=5&BoardID=89&id=846137

This lucky lady got a liposuction in rain clinic and then have a nose job in DR. JOH\'S AESTHETIC CLINIC 趙 晟 弼 醫 生. I don’t know the English name of the Doc so did a little research but no luck couldn’t find any information on the net. . So disappointed!
For those don’t read Chinese, the third and fourth pictures are in Rain clinic for liposuction. The fifth is only a computer image bf the surgery. The 7th is taken right after surgery when the patient still on the surgery bed. The 11th picture is showing the patient was able to go shopping in the very same day of the surgery. It is really amazing that there was little to no bruise on the lady’s face and the swelling was also not much. The nose tip is really beautiful. By the way, this patient had her bump on the bright removed and had some nose cartilage put on the nose tip to refine it. She also had some fat injected into her forehead and chin.
I hope ppls here find this interesting and thank everybody for your sharing and contribution!! Please forgive me for my incorrect grammar and words. Hopefully you can understand what I write above, just kidding! Heeheehee.....

I forgot to mention that the last picture is taken bf the surgery.
And I really really like her nose after surgery. It is so cut and the nose tip is so pretty!
I really want to find out who this Doc is. Anyone has a idea?

I've already set my appointment up with another dr... so it doesn't matter to me as much...
I noticed that a couple of you say that Dr. Jung isn't highly regarded in Korea. What do they say about him... just that other docs make prettier noses or his patients have down the road medical issues? Your info will really help some of the people who are still planning their trip to Korea this winter.

Thank you Thank you for the new input!!!

Hi maskd2003,
Thank you!
Dr Jung is famous for his revision skill. But if you like to have a pretty nose like one of the K-actress, then he might not be the best choice. From his website, I fell that he intends to make the root of the nose (the bridge between the eyes) higher in order to make the nose look longer. That is the reason I don’t like it cos that kind of nose look very unnatural. Dr Kim fr BK might have a better sense of beauty, but I feel that he treats the plastic surgery as a business that can bring him profit. That makes me scare so he is out also.

Regarding the guy fr Beauty100.com. He had a GX put into his nose by a famous Chinese Doc but the nose appeared too wide and the shape was bad so he insisted the Doc to take it out after one month. Unfortunately, when the Doc took it out he made a serious damage to the right nostril that made the two nostrils very uneven and also left a visible scar. The tip of the nose slid to one side too. So he went to Dr Jung for his first revision. Dr Jung have taken care of his scar very well and made his nostrils a bit even but not lived up to his expectation. That is why he had his second revision with Dr Kim fr CK in Beijing. He said this time he got more improvement regarding the nostril and his nose tip also looked better. Base on this patient experience, I am considering going to Beijing to have PS with Dr Kim instead Korean cos the expensive Hotel fee, the food, the language …..

Ah! ok... Thanks Baixue!

So it sounds like it would be VERY safe to go with Dr. Jung... although for VERY VERY pretty noses, people must go somewhere else in Korea.

If you go through with it with the BeiJing doc, be sure to let us all know how it all goes.
Either way, I wish you lots of luck and hope you the best!!!

But, about raising the height between the eyes... I've heard that a lot of docs do it for Asians. I've spoken with some US , Korean , Taiwanese docs about Asian rhinoplasty. I guess this raise gives the illusion of a thinner nose, helps with most Asian profiles, and deemphasizes strong oversized cheekbones. I have opted for no implant also there because my bridge is good... it can be better, but I shouldn't be so greedy, already taking so many risks for vanity... ;)

I had a dream a couple nights ago about going under for the surgery... pretty scary thinking that you don't have control of whether to go to sleep or not... eee!

I'm sure I'll be ok though... hehe at least I hope.

White Snow,

Thinking about it, you will probably have the luxury of hearing about my experience with Taiwan if you aren't planning to go to surgery very soon... I'm going to be getting it done in the beginning of May... Although, I may not immediately write because I will be healing.

god, I'm obsessed with this nose job now. lol... look at all my posts!
ok... have a good weekend everybody!

Hey maskd!

I dont blame you being obsessed, you're ACTUALLY going to have it done!! Thats like..sooo exciting! I wish I could be as dead set on a surgeon like you! Once again, good luck and hope all things go well! Youre having more than your nose done right? eyelashes etc??

Oh, does any of your folks know your having it done yet? :P

Yea... tip of nose, and eyelash implants.
not too scared about the eyelash implants... It's minimally invasive... worst thing that happens, most likely is it doesn't work... and since I have almost straight hair I don't need to worry about them putting it in at a wrong angle... I guess that's the difficulty of the surgery.

ummm... also... I have told some people... like my sister... even a coworker... but not my parents... my mom and dad would be so angry... because they would think that this is excessive...
Anyway, I do have people that know of where I will be staying and when I'm leaving, returning, expect me to email them and call... so I am being safe about it.

ooo... one more thing, on the other forum, badboy stated that Dr. Jung has a superb reputation amongst plastic surgeons in Korea. I guess apprentices have to wait generally for more than a year to be chosen, if they are chosen, and there's a list of docs that are interested in learning from him... I guess badboy spoke with his apprentice, and the doc spoke of it like he had won the lottery... lol

That makes me SUPER happy because I'm going to go to a doc that was one of his apprentices...
There's some concern that he doesn't do good female noses... I read that somewhere... but I don't know too much about this... keep in mind, I'm only regurgitating what I have read on the web.

Hi,

I thought I post here since a few of you are considering Dr Chuang in taiwan and I just want to give you my first hand experience. I'm still in taiwan right now getting post-op care from Dr Chuang and its been 13 days since my surgery.

I recently had my nose done and bone shaving the cheeks not the jaw.

This is a link to my before/after pics. Note my nose bridge and tip is still swollen and my lower jaw/cheeks are still swollen also.

I've blogged the whole 13 days from surgery to now so if you interested just pm me and I send you the link to my blog.

Note my nose is sharper than in the front view picture.
