Hey i have a question for all the younger ladies here. Do you think its a bad idea to take 2 weeks off school ( Im in high school) to have my alarplasty? Do you think it would be really vain of me? Ive waited so long to have my nose done but as it gets closer im feeling alittle embarrassed over the idea.

I had a "L"shape silicone filled in and it looks so faked and starts to be painful now. I was thinking to get it revised and I knew Korea is the best place to go for nose job. But with nose job u also need take the risk of infection. So I think somewhere local is the best choice coz u do have "after sale care". I went to Advanced Beauty Clinic in sydney. Before I came for a consulation I was not sure whether this doctor is the right one to go even he is Korean, but he might have less experience than someone who actually operated in Korea?

However the before and after photoes, the patients showed up when I was there convinced me. Doctor Kim is very patient and he speaks very good English as well. He spent quite a while to explain to me how my nose gonna look like after this revision and when there is side effect, what they gonna treat me. After spoke with him, I built up my confidence and decided to go ahead to take the surgery with him.

Speak of the price, they have different prices start from AU$3500. I asked to do a revision, put a goretex in to make my bridge higher and put my ear cartige to define the tip area and legthening my nose. That is the most expensive one and it is $7000. However if you choose silicone the price would be a bit cheaper and without lengthening it is $4500. So it all depends on your own case and don't rush yourself to a deal yet. So are you seeing the same doctor that did your surgery 10 years ago? What kind of pain are you experiencing? Does Advanced Beauty Clinic have a website? How did you go about finding them?

Hi Qui, I found this clinic via their advertising on a newspaper. Their websit is http://www.advancecosmetic.com/en/index.htm. I actually did the consultation last year but the price really blow me away even I really wanted to change my current nose. But this year my nose was keeping on playing up so I had a feeling that I have to do it.It is a different doctor I am going to. Doctor Kim is from Korea, I had my nose done in China ten years ago. As I suggested, wait until I got mine one done and I will let you know whether it is nice or not. Because 7000 Dollars is big amount of money

My implant doesn't make my nose look fake at all. You just have to make sure you get the right sized implant to match your facial features. I have heard from some people that it makes your nose look shinier but on me I can't tell since I have oily skin to begin with so my whole face is always pretty shiny. LOL

I showed that Youtube video to some of my friends and they think she looks amazing after the surgery. They think that before the surgery, she just looked like a plain Asian girl. With the surgery, they feel she looks exotic and stunning. Your opinion also depends on which viewpoint you are looking from. My friends are all non-asian, so perhaps they are judging her from different standards. There is, however, this subtle and perhaps a universal concept of "Westernized" beauty in the world that we are judged upon. Most Asian celebrities have this sort of more "global" beauty to them. Maybe they choose these people to be in movies so that they have a larger audience worldwide? When I go to a Blockbuster and look at the artwork on a hot new Korean DVD releases; the angles, lighting, make-up all make the actors look Caucasian. They don't look so caucasian when I'm watching the film but I think they make the artwork for the movies that way on purpose so that it will sell to the American public.

I believe that the nose was 6,900 if you were to do it alone. But since i had multiple procedures he gave me a discount, it is actually a pretty big discount if you do all three thats why I did all three (I was just going to do the nose and eyes). Well during consultation he examined me "longer" and he recommended using goretex, I was surprise as well because he is such an advocate of silicon, but I think it's on a case by case basis. On the day of the surgery he told me he would use silicon because I showed him a picture of what i thought was a nice bridge/height because it would give more definition. By then i was set with goretex in my head so I told him initally he said goretex and he said that he could probably do it, but if he couldn't he would switch to silicon with my permission. He said that there was a 90% chance I would get goretex and get about the same definision/height. I asked him if it was difficult for him to remove the goretex and he said that "its not as difficult" for him to remove in case it is needed. So i as a result i got goretex, I made sure thats what I got I called the office, and initally she said "silicon" because "thats what he usually uses" and she checked my chart and said "oh im sorry but you r right it is goretex."

If he uses silicon he would use an "I" shape with your own cartilage to build the tip.

I will post tomorrow how it goes, I get rid of the cast tomorrow! and those stiches from my eyes (which have been bothering me!! just because it feels uncomfortable) If you have any other questions feel free to ask!

would you mind sharing which eye method you went with? DST or incisional? Also, were you more swollen and how long did it take for you to feel comfortable going back to work?

Does anyone know any well-known reputable clinics in Japan for rhinoplasty? Recently, I was browsing online and I came across this Japanese reality tv show called Beauty Colosseum that is similar to The Swan in the United States. I don't know but some of the transformation is pretty neat. It makes me wonder if I should go to Japan and find a doctor there. LOL. ush:

i have gotten both my eyes and nose done. i'm not sure if it's because i got them done at the same time... but it took a couple months (like 6) to look completely natural. i had swelling/puffiness/bruising (i had bruising around my cheek area i think) for a while. plus, you can't wash for face for a few weeks so... it took me like a month for my skin to get back to normal. (i had this done like 3 years ago so i don't remember everything exactly.)

what i suggest you to do is, look for a GOOD doctor if you really want plastic surgery. i've seen a lot of people who have had mediocre to bad eyes/noes jobs and they look awful. lucky, my uncle's a plastic surgeon so i had it done for free! but best of all, i trust him 100%. cheap plastic surgery is cheap for a reason, imo. (but not in my case... hehehe.)

i got mine done in korea but like i said, i think your priority should be to look for a good doctor or not get it done at all.

LATERAL CANTHOPLATY

There seems to be a lot of confusion as to WHAT IT DOES, HOW IT'S DONE and WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE.

I am really confused to how it's done. Beauty07 recently got it done, so, if you're around, please enlighten us on what the procedure ACTUALLY IS, as in, how it's cut, what's actually been cut, etc.

Also, there has been talk about the effectiveness and safety of this procedure. Maskd had said in earlier posts that this procedure almost definitely scars. Is there any truth in that? If so, what kind of scarring are going to be visible? On Dr. Chuang's website, he specifically said, in Chinese, that it won't leave a scar...

Veriteclinic has a picture of it, but I still can't tell what has ACTUALLY been done. Dr. Chuang also has 2 photos, but it's confusing too, because th close up girl's got a lot of weird makeup on her eyes (http://www.wishclinic.com.tw/service_a3-4.htm).

So, if you have any insight/info/questions about lateral cantho, please come forward.. let's clear this up once for all.

PerezH- This a bit late of a post but looking at the pics, I think it's basically slightly cutting the outside and inside of the eye where the skin covers the eye bit in asians to give the eyes a bigger look. Sometimes, when asians get double eyelid surgery, the eye can still look a bit small so by cutting that little piece of skin, it opens it up.

Spendalot, did she only get her tip done? Is that why there is no swelling? Because i swear, there really is no swelling!
