I emailed her with the same questions a few weeks ago. Here's what she told me~

I have over 6 years experience within the industry. My translator fee is 100USD(or 100,000KRW) for everything. This includes:
- Booking all the consultations with clinics you want to go to.
- Going to all the clinics you want to get consultations at. (Up to 3 clinics)
- Taking you to the clinic when you have surgery and taking care of you after the surgery.
- Doing follow ups and helping you get checked after your surgery.

Wow, thank you so much for the info. I am going to have my 3 consultations with Zoe (I managed to book her a month ago) and see what the 3 surgeons say I need for my jaw after the CT scan, the online consultations have not been consistent, different clinics tell me I need different procedures. I am mentally prepared for it and know that the recover is painful and slow, I've also taken sufficient time off work.

Can you tell me if there is a website for your accommodation?

I will certainly be buying my 'drugs' this weekend before I fly but does any of them clash like Arnica and Sinnech, don't they do the same thing? Can Bromelain be taken with the above, it's such a mine field lol. I'll be sure to stock up on powder soup and proteins too.

I can't find Cozycot thread, can you drop me a link please, really keen to read it, been searching for ages but I'm not finding this site too easy to navigate.

From what I have read, V-Line is new and was invented by Dr Park Hang-Soon at ID Hospital and now all the big clinics have this except for OZ, they don't specialise in facial contouring and didn't quote me but I hear they are good for noses. I am a bit weary once all the swelling has gone down, what do you do with all the excess skin around the jaw and chin? Some clinics have said you will need to go back in 6 months to have a mini face lift, did they mention this to you?

I wonder, how safe do you feel in Gangnam, carrying a lot of cash and being a lone female traveller, I've read it's a safe place to be, is this true? Also can you spend US Dollars everywhere or only in hotels and large restaurants, I will assume the smaller outlets prefer Korean Won.

Finally how do you feel today? How is the recover and I hope it's not too hot out there yet, maybe I should pack some shorts.

Thanks again!!!

Hello, I am having my rhinoplasty this coming Tuesday at Grand Plastic Surgery in south korea, and I was hoping to get some feedback. I have a slight hump on the right side of my nose, which i wanted to remove. The consultant and surgeon that I met said that it will be a quite easy procedure because the bump on my nose is not big. Basically I am just getting the hump removed and a silicone inserted for a nose brige augmentation. However, I am wondering if i got a good deal.

Overall I will be paying 2,000,000 won, plus the VAT (tax?) of 20k won. THe surgery itself is a closed surgery, which i think means that I am not making any open incisions, and everything will be done throught my nostril. Is this normal? If this procedure is easier than an open surgery, did i receive a good price?

One last question  I am having the operation on Tuesday, and leaving on Saturday. Is this enough time for me to heal and go back to America? Or am I being told a lie just because I told them I have to leave early and they still want my business?

Please help me with your answers:smile:

It's safe. I had no problem!!! Just be cautious and not flash a stack of money around.
You really can't spend Usd you have to convert it to krw. The only place I found that takes Usd is at the duty free...otherwise its all krw..even the airport didn't want my Usd when I had to pay for extra baggage fees. Hotels only convert your money if u r their guest.

that is too soon. i suggest waiting at least 1 week but preferably 10-14 days because you dont want a bloody nose in the airplane. and the stitches need to be removed a week after right?

Hey you guys. I'm going to korea on the 10th and will be visiting several clinics. Thing is, I'm only there for 3 wks. Is it possible to get an appointment for surgery in that time frame or should I have already done it weeks ago? Thanks
