kain
i agree, its unfair that ppl reacted badly to angleplane's review. i think its mostly cos they liked joann and instinctively became a bit upset when angleplane said some stuff about her. its still unfair but its not unexplainable. ppl would welcome any review, as they did when uzura and hher posted their reviews, which included criticism and negative aspects. but i think they got a bit upset over the stuff about joann after spending weeks at the clinic with her. the truth is, some ppl will get along well with her, and others wont. i guess that is one thing that has been neglected on the forum. it might have something to do with the fact that ppl said such nice things about her and made her out to be a saint, when in reality, she does have a job to do. kain
so i guess in the future, useful advice for ppl who think they might not like having joann interceding during the consultation: you could request a private consultation with dr lee. i dont think that would be too unusual edit: whoops, in this post# i linked to a forum search for the word 'misunderstanding' and lots of results came up from different ppl
juicyme
I've heard decent things about Dream Clinic. & one of the doctors posted on the eyelid surgery thread on Soompi for a week or two, giving advice..
bisousx
Jenstar, At this point it doesn't seem necessary for any of us to continue the angleplane vs. VIP discussion, as I don't see how it's beneficial to any of the posters and lurkers who are reading the thread. I met 2 girls at the clinic who were lurkers and didn't feel the need to create an account. So it proves that this thread is a powerful tool, and perhaps explains why some of us are cautious to post minute details about our experiences. And a business owner, I know that I wouldn't want my reputation to be soiled over small issues.. like having everything I've said in meetings recorded and broken down in online forums. (I'm not referring to angleplane's experience - I don't think anyone who was in our group said she was lying or tried to deny that these things said and done actually occurred). I'm getting too old to be involved in he said/she said stuff, but since you think that the responses were unfair and that VIP is paying its clients to post, let me try to shed some light on why the other patients responded the way they did. Angleplane arrived before any of the other patients. None of the forumers knew each other before meeting at the recovery room or at officetel, we were all strangers. Everyone who stayed at officetel was escorted by a staff member at VIP. So when Angleplane began asking other patients to stay in their room without VIP's knowledge [at first], it made a few patients very uncomfortable. After all, when you travel to another country alone then you are also vulnerable, isolated, and suspicious of your surroundings. Let's not forget heavily medicated. As for the other issues that were posted, I was not involved in that but yes, those petty issues (messiness, etc.) were brought up during our stay in the clinic. It's not like they just surfaced on tpf in response to angleplane's review. Now that I have read her side of the story, I feel really bad that she had to go thru that. But because no one knew her side of the story at the time she was asking forumers to house her, it seems more to me like a misunderstanding between everyone. And like Kain said, perhaps the situation was exacerbated bc she didn't get along with Joann. And some of the responses from the forumers were probably because they asked Joann to remedy an awkward situation and didn't think it was fair for VIP to take the full responsibility of mistreating a patient. Anyways, I hope we can move on from this discussion.

migookinamja
Seriously, What the hell am I doing. Doing it this way so I can take them down anytime I want. Dr Park at Dream, 7 days post op. Got my splint off in LA today (so pics are from today) before's are from Dream milliseconds before surgery. Endonasal technique that Dr. Park likes. I drove 800 miles today thinking constantly about my nose. Looking at my before's again I'm really starting to like my new nose and it's naturalness. I think Dreams style is understated, they make you better looking but still recognizable as you. I see this throughout their operation. Their building is not like a 5 star hotel like Grand is. anne10331
Woot! thanks for sharing~ o.o the changes are really subtle; it doesn't look like you did anything to your nose but at the same time it looks better. The bump is gone too.

migookinamja
Bump is still there, but he softened it and made my tip project out more and did a whole bunch more other complicated stuff that makes it come out looking like nothing was done.
kain
it looks great. they fixed your asymmetry on the tip. the hump is still there a bit, but i think it looks nice. it looks really natural and flows well from the bridge to the tip. i wish they had before and afters on their website. that was the reason i never considered them. i did find a login page on the korean website, and the registration page required a korean ssn. im guessing that grants access to the b4 and after gallery. but i couldnt access it. the english site has no pics at all. but i guess we could try to find out which celebs went to dream clinic and look at their noses it was mostly copy-pasted stuff
