For Jaw I'm not sure I think V jaw as I heard 2 jaw can be really quite invasive. But then again, that have to wait until my consultation. I have some post op concern on jaw though like sagging/short sharp pain etc...so if I didnt go ahead with jaw I would do lipo + some skin treatment instead.

But wow TLPS must be so busy, over 30k enquiries? :O!!

Ah gotcha. Yeah, I was planning on getting 2-jaw too, but I realized it's too invasive, and I got scared lol. Maybe if I find an experienced surgeon with no bad reviews, I'll reconsider. So for jaw, I'm planning on just doing V-line surgery.

cozycot and whilst theres good theres also a bad review from a few girls , they mentioned (in detail) on their experience there in the clinic.
They said the pain is too much for such a minor change and immediately after the surgery some regret on having it done as the face is totally swollen esp when you're travelling alone. (important factor for me as im travelling by myself xD)
But I understand the swell and pain is at the worst on first few days , then another girl mentioned a few month later on how she consider to have revision jaw surgery due to sagging, her x ray did show the drastic bone change ( so much narrow) .
But her results didnt show as much , maybe due to swelling but yeah....theres many more description i can go on forever xD
It strikes me that jaw surgery needs constant care and management... but well..
if I didnt go ahead with jaw I would do lipo + some skin treatment instead. For now I still place my hope on TLPS if their price is within my budget, I would go for it.

I didnt ask her where she did it, I will ask her later .She said the pain is like when old people experiencing ankle joint paint - that kind of pain

Hey, I think we read the same reviews on cozycot! lol It all sounds very familiar. But yeah, I'm worried about the pain and possible sagging afterward too, because I'm probably going alone as well. I wonder where those girls got their jaw surgeries done, though, because from the picture reviews I've seen from locals, I haven't seen much (if any) jaw sagging at all. Locals didn't mention they had to have lipo or a face lift around their jaw either. Maybe because they were pretty young to begin with? Idk... I would hate to go back just to fix a sagging problem.

Hmm ankle joint pain sounds painful indeed. I hope it isn't too unbearable for her though. And yeah, TL seems to get a lot inquiries daily. More than popular places like Regen, from what I've observed. I looked through TL's consultation page, and there are 1,842 pages of inquiries in total. Most popular places have 200-400 or so, so that's pretty impressive. It probably has a lot to do with the fact that TL is pretty OG though, and have been running since 2004 (http://www.tlps.co.kr/counsel/counsel/index.jsp?searchHospitalFK=0&searchClinicFK=0&stype=&sval=&reqPageNo=1842). Most clinics didn't pop up until 2008-2012. I think it's a good sign that locals still seem to have an interest in TL, despite competing with the newer, luxurious clinics that have come up within the past few years.

Agree those girls in naver cafe doesnt look sag at all, but then again it may be photo effect or maybe they'd done some lifting etc.
They make jaw contour surgery sound so appealing and easy!!

Yeah thats the reason why I'm still in doubt with jaw surgery, will be sucha pain to go back for neck lift or things like that.
Different story for locals as they can easily access any clinics etc. Well, if all else fails I will still gonna go ahead with lipo (abdoment, arm and maybe chin)
and skin treatment!

When are you going for the surgery? Keep us updated alright? You're valuable source in this forum!!

Not at all! The forum has been just as much help to me, if not more. I owe everything to my awesome Korean friend, who has provided me with the resources.

On that note: He actually corrected me about the number of consultation inquiries from View. Their consultation page is set up differently, so I counted the questions + responses, which was double the total amount. The real total is ~18,500 inquiries, which is less than Regen, but more than Grand and ID. TL PS has the most I've seen so far though. ALSO, my friend noted that I miscalculated Grand's total as well, which is actually ~14,200, not 9,560. So sorry about that! I hope I didn't mislead anyone. >.<

You're going December? You're a brave girl lol. Make sure to dress warm. Winters can be killer! And yes, I believe Banobagi and Regen are popular as well. Thank you for bringing up Grand, because I probably would have never asked my friend if you didn't do so. I think Grand is a good place, as I remember reading about how a consultant at Cinderella told a girl that Grand and Regen were just as good as Cinderella. Anyway, I think it all really depends on the doctor, because even the biggest places can have average or bad surgeons. I read in the previous thread that if you're planning on going to Regen for V-line, go with Dr. Seo (he invented 3d rotation). If you need 2-jaw done, Dr. Kang is the best choice.
Anyway, I'm still a little confused as to why no locals have not mentioned the previous clinics/hospitals. I've still got a bit of asking around to do before I know for sure.

I'm actually planning on heading to Korea after I'm done with my research, when I'm confident in a handful of clinics/hospitals I can consult with. I'm not sure when that will be though, sorry. Hopefully by the end of the year.

A girl told me she had square jaw surgery for 4k, V-line for 3.1k and cheekbones for 4k, making 2-jaw just 9k. It's ~15k at ID, and I thought this was the standard for 2-jaw. I always thought paying anything much less would end up being a horrendous job. Then again, Samsung is just as cheap as View, if not cheaper, and the director there is apparently a famous surgeon among locals, always appearing on TV.

So I don't know what's going on. I'll have to wait until I gather more responses from locals from various cafes, to see if there is a mutual agreement that said clinics are as good as people say they are.

When i email Samsung, they quoted me 20m for Vline and Zygoma. I always thought Vline surgery was shaving the jaws and sharperning the chin.... but i see people doing square jaw+vline+zygoma... isn't vline inclusive of square jaw??

I will be camping here for your updates before i depart to Korea..lol.

Some people said after their facial contouring they don't see much improvement but all the before n after photos on naver n on their official website are fantastic....

I was getting the hang of sending a lot of girls surgery inquiry messages on the Korean cafes. In a span of 15 minutes, I sent like 150! Haha so Naver thought I was some sort of robot, and kicked me out of the account. I won't be able to go back on to see the responses until tonight. Hey, when are you going to Korea? I think the reason View PS was so popular on that particular cafe was because their prices are pretty good compared to other places. For example, one person paid $16,200 for 2-jaw, square jaw and V-line, whereas at a place like ID, all 3 surgeries would cost about $27500. Word probably got around about View PS in the cafe, so more people got their surgeries done there, hence its popularity in the cafe.
Also, I was looking through View's consultation page. It makes sense that the more popular a place is, the more consultation messages they get, right? Well, I was surprised View had more consultation requests (36,994) than places like Regen (21,250), Grand (9,560) and ID (9,825), which I always thought were popular choices for locals. Maybe View is a lot more popular than I thought lol. EDIT: I just looked through TL's consultation page too, and they have 36,798 total consultation inquiries, which is a little less than View's total.

But I think that Regen, ID and Banobagi are still good places though... just a little more expensive. If you would feel more comfortable with them, since they're more English friendly, then you should check them out. All three are actually still on my list of potential places to go, particularly Banobagi. I've yet to hear any bad reviews about them, so I'm keeping all of my options open until I get more responses from locals. I've gotten responses from about 70 people, which seems like a lot, but I want to try to get as many as possible, from as many different cafes as possible... just to eliminate any possible inconsistencies, and to get a clearer pattern of popular places that are mutually agreed on.

And yeah, I was a little turned off by how young the two main surgeons at View look. I'm not too sure who specializes in V-line and zygoma either. I just know that both do cleft palate-craniofacial and reconstructive surgery, but I don't know who's better or more experienced. I also don't know who specializes in what at TL, sorry. I just know that a pretty girl recommended Kim Ji Myoung and the director, Jung Yun Ho lol. When I come up with more information, I'll be sure to let you and everyone know.

Dr Park from Oz said I dn't need to do my eyes but Dr from VIP said I need to do ptosis and mid face augmentation on top of nose. I'm confused cos different dr have different opinion but VIP is charging me much much more for my nose job so I have decided to drop this clinic. I saw Banobaji website and it seems impressive. I have also dropped the clinic an email with my pictures.

Let me know which clinic you have decided on. I am not sure which one to go to as well. Thanks!

Hmmm well maybe Samsung is just as cheap as View for the locals but when I emailed them, they're not that cheap at all... in fact they are too expensive! I emailed Samsung a couple of my pics and this is what they wrote me:

Hello. This is kangnam samsung plastic surgery

One thing I do appreciate is that they did get back to me right away but for V-line and zygoma I think those prices are way too high! Even after negotiating I think I would still be paying too much. I'm wondering do they charge more to foreigners? Or maybe they charged me more because of my case (I do have a large jaw and zygoma unfortunately) but still I think it's too much.

If anyone else decides to email Samsung for prices, please share how much they want to charge you. Thanks

It probably has a lot to do with the fact that locals having more choices, since they don't have the same language problems as foreigners. What's popular to us (usually English friendly clinics) may not be popular to them (English friendly or not).
When a person raves about a clinic on this thread, more people are likely to check the place out... then there are even more rave reviews, and this clinic becomes 'popular' on the thread. I've noticed the same pattern on Korean cafes, as there are different rave experiences on each cafe. For example, I got a lot of good reviews on View PS from one cafe, but also got quite a few good reviews on Girin PS from another cafe I didn't spend as much time on. Both places could be good.

*sigh* But I wish things weren't so complicated either. I need an easy button.

Thats true, probs why View clinic was popular maybe cos loads of people review them and plus if the prices are as cheap as you say!

JW is diff to Jewelery... I heard Jewelery isn't good and have had a few botch jobs, but JW , I have heard some good reviews but it hasn't been mentioned much in this thread.
Yeah ID apparently are good with jaw surgeries and other bone surgeries. they are in my top 3. I want to consider View too - but I am still contemplating hiring a translator...
I wanna get rhinoplasty and eyelid surgery ... I think most clinics are good with those two. but ahhh its wheres good and has good price too! Why cant korea have like just a few clinics not like 400+ hahaha
