Best Plastic Surgery Clinics in Korea -read 1st post before posting.

hi again everyone,
i have now decided on several clinics that i would like to visit for my eyes and nose surgery in Korea
however, i was wondering how long does the average appointment take?
What I mean to ask is how many appointments would I be able to squeeze in one day? And if i was to go with a friend that also required a consultation, is it unrealistic to target too many clinics in one day?

Second question, I am most interested in JW, View and Girin at the moment...
However, I would like rib rhinoplasty, so which clinics are better for this type of surgery as opposed to goretex/silicone?

Lastly, may I ask you guys who have already been before, did you stay in a closeby accomodation in case of any emergencies? I am not sure of how often I would be seeing the doctor after the operation?

Sunshine Hotel is great and within walking distance to the entire plastic surgery street. Takes me exactly 5 minutes to get to my clinic every day! Fantastic. In addition to the prime location, the hotel has pretty great service. Rooms are cleaned daily, fresh towels replaced.. etc. They also have an indoor restaurant that serves decent food and that comes in pretty handy post-op cos you can order room service!

Hi, I'll email you my BAs once the stitches are out and the swelling subsides. Do PM me your email. Right now I'm still uncertain on whether I like my results or not.. Everything seems a tad too natural (i.e. nose still huge and eyes don't look any different) but I'm praying that some changes will come with time.

Before my surgery, I told myself that I will be coming back to this forum to provide any information that can be helpful, so here I am.
I am currently 9 days post-op, back home, and I had my eyes and nose done.
I speak absolutely no Korean so I was basically lost in translation during my one week stay in Korea. Some suggestions for your trip abroad:
-Bring a friend. Honestly, I don't think I could have done it alone. Getting these procedures done will test you and push you to your limits. I'm not saying that it's not possible to bear the storm on your own like many have, but I just think we all could really use some support when we're feeling terrible about ourselves while sitting in pain and wallowing in our own self-pity for those first couple of days post surgery. Plus, tackling the city alone when no one understands you can be frustrating.
-Use a Translator. If you can't speak Korean at all like me, then I suggest you hire a translator so that you don't limit yourself to only English-speaking clinics and also so that you can get any message that you want across to the doctor. This is your face we're talking about. There is no room for error or mis-communication.
-Mentally prepare yourself for communication problems. Not a lot of people in Korea know English. This makes it very hard to get served or your questions answered. I got used to pointing at pictures of what I wanted to order at restaurants and luckily most people understand when you're asking "how much?"
-Get to know the subway system. Once I had it all figured out, it was like being given the key to the candy store. I felt like I could go anywhere for 1,005KRW, and quickly, too. It was awesome and what made it most awesome was that I no longer needed to take cabs, which brings me to the next tip.
-Have addresses/business cards ready to show cab drivers. Most cab drivers have a GPS so if you can give them a business card of your hotel or clinic written in korean, they can take you there. Otherwise, they may just say no and kick you out of their cab. I got kicked out twice in one morning. It was not fun.
-Take some bromelain and arnica montana. They help with bruising and swelling. I took them for another cosmetic surgery that I did two years ago and they really helped.
-Don't mind the public. Plastic surgery is common in Korea so people actually don't really notice nor judge you when you're walking around with your face all swollen and looking as if you got into a bar fight. So don't be reluctant to go out. I went shopping two days post-op and it went great. You just kind of get over caring what people think and do your own thing.
-Enjoy Korea. Remember that you're on vacation. Take advantage of the fact that there's no tip nor tax. Korea has great skin care products. Look at everyone's smooth and well-kept faces! Go shopping. Go to a spa, get some dessert, eat to your hearts content.

I will post again soon about my surgery. I hope that this was of at least a little bit of help for some of you.

As of now, I am considering Teuim, Jewelry and View for my double eyelid revision and full face fat grafting. I have read lots of review on Teuim, but the price is a bit too high for me. Anyone did their eyes at View? I need more reviews for View clinic :/

Can someone tell me everM prices for jaw/chin surgeries (v-line mostly)? I only found one mention of a combined zygoma+v-line price but I'm not interested in zygoma~ I checked their website, I don't understand Korean but I can read it (transliterate it) and I couldn't find any prices on their website though I tried... (unless I missed the page they were listed on, I checked the different pages for different procedures and they described the procedure with B&A pictures but no price.

I'm slightly more than 6th months after doing tiplasty, zygoma and mandible surgery with Grand Plastic Surgery Clinic. Nothing has improved and infact I feel uglier as the days go by! 4

My tiplasty is totally a failed job, my mandible surgery has left me with an ugly and deep dent line on my chin which the doctor said will disappear (ALL THE LIES!) and my zygoma surgery has resulted in a deeper and more obvious nasolabial fold (as Grand practise the zygoma rotation method on me whereby my zygoma was rotated to the front of my cheek instead of being removed, so you can imagine why I have deeper nasolabial fold because all the muscles and fats are protruded more on my cheek)

From the info I have gathered up about v-line... the estimate cost ranges from 7,000-9,500 dollars

Also because of the lousy stitch work for my tiplasty, I had an ugly scar (you can see my previous posts for the pic), but it was thankfully reduce much after I went for laser on it.

I have even emailed my translator June from Grand, and I totally got ignored and have no replies! (So much for customer service!)

Can you imagine EVERY SINGLE DAY when I see myself in the mirror or any reflection, utter regrets befalls upon me why I would ever choose Grand!

I am in the midst of planning to go back to Korea to fix all these darn disfigurations early next year. I did think about going back to Grand to fix all these problems cause by the doctors' negligence since they have free revisions and records of what they have done on me, provided they pay for my air tickets and lodging before I take any actions against them. I'm so sick of all these I want Grand to pay for it but most of all I want the issues to be gone!!!

What do you guys suggest??

Anyone here ever get a short nose corrected? If so what were your results like post-op a few days? I just got mine done and my nose looks even more upturned than before. This is causing me a lot of stress and was hoping someone can provide some input.

I'm deciding between Dream (Dr. Song) and Top Class. I have my nose done in Topclass last year. My doctor speaks English and explained details carefully. The surgery went well and I fully recovered.

I want to have Double Eyelid Revision, Lateral Canthoplasty and Blepharoplasty done this time. I'm considering other clinics because communication with the chinese consultant (same lady I met there last year, i was hoping she'd leave) at Topclass is frustrating. She is not being clear when it comes to costs. She gave me a vague total of $5000~$6000 USD for all the procedures mentioned above. When I asked her again for a list of prices, she told me she is not in charge of pricing.

Hi carrieblacktea, could u pls tell me which doc did ur nose at Topclass? ~It's 1 of the clinics im gg for my consultations.
Was urs a revision, and are u liking the results?
And that chinese consultant u mentioned, was she also the 1 who replied all the emails in english?
Was the total u paid lower than that estimated $5000~$6000usd? She quoted me even higher.
