Fat Grafting In Korea

Hi lovely ladies,
I am 56 years old and would like to correct the aging problem. Has anyone have any knowledge/experience/reviews of these 2 procedures? What clinic to go for? Please help me out, thank you in advance.
1.Fat Grafting to the Jowls, mouth corner
2. removing eye bag under eyes.

Please bear in mind, fat grafting that isn't followed by lifting procedure will not help your aging problem, in fact it would make your skin sag even more (after the swelling has subsided) and you will look fatter with more saggy skin. I suggests that you do the fat re-position instead and lifting instead of fat graft (unless your face is very hollow). My advice : do not go to DA clinic! I had similar problems with you before and they ruined my face

I know there are very little info on the forum on fat grafting and i get a few comments on that as well. so I will share my result and a little of my experience with everyone.

I had fat graft, under eyebags fat repositioning done at Regen by Dr. Park Sung Wook. I hired Zoe as my translator and go head with her recommendation with Dr. Park. First by what i have observed, reviews (from friend and my friend's friend) and a little of my instinct. Dr. Park seems to know what i want and i have no trouble communicating with him about my needs, unlike other consultations that i have been to. (FYI, I visited two clinics with Zoe and 3 other clinics by myself)

I have some trouble estimating the retention rate, as it is really subjective and my eye are not trained to do so.

However, I am pretty sure fat grafting solves my problems of producing brow bones, sunken upper cheeks and temple. And it lighten my laugher lines, as mention still kinda visible.

My upper cheeks has the best retention rate is on my cheeks, still looking overly full after 1.5mth which got me really worried. By the 4mth my cheeks looks really natural in perosn and have a nice vol. Quite a few ppl says i have gotten prettier! Sadly, my cheeks may appear to be kinda chubby in photos, something that im not use to, as I previously have really skinny and long face.


Before the procedure:
- Set the expectation right
- Communicate with ur doc.Make sure you surgeon is on the same page with you and you have no trouble communicating with him. (areas to inject, desired vol etc)
- ask what happens if you did not achieve desired result
- ask about recovery process for you

After the procedure:
- get plenty of rest! I live in stress free environment and got plenty of sleep (clearing my sleep debt too) for about 2mths.
- eat lots of healthy food (esp fruits)

I will add if i could think of anything else, wrote the above off my mind and may miss out some points.

It's DAPRS (Delightful Aesthetics .... something). Just don't go there unless you want to ruin your face

P.s : if you wanna do fat graft, better to combine it with lifting procedure otherwise i'm pretty sure your skin will become more saggy than before.

There is a new 'fat grafting' procedure available that I'm interested in getting. It's called Q.o.fill. It's your own blood (i think) mixed with some H.A fillers. It lasts about 2 years without need of retouching. It's also a bit cheaper since fat doesn't need to be harvested.

I've done fat graft in the past and I just recently heard of Q.O fill and saw some really good views which is why I'm going to have it done for my overall face instead of fat grafting. Will let you all know the results soontime.

WOW, you don't look like 50 I guess you don't have problem with the mouth corner crease at all ? Any advise for the mouth corner crease problem without the facelift surgery, I wlll greatly appreciated.

Yes you can have a facelift but that only lasts 5 years and costs much more than fat grafts so I thought I would try fat grafting first. I was advised to try fat grafting before any facelift. I saw girls in their early 30s in Korea have V line surgery but then got facelift almost immediately after as the skin sagged! Wear a compression head bandage!!!

In May 2015, I had filler injection and it helped slightly but it lasts not even six months..... In March this year, I had another kind filler injection and it also helps slightly but last not even six months..... I am thinking fat graft could do better but been commented it will make it more sagging !

I too thought I had ruined my face when I asked for a mirror after the fat graft at DA and saw this back in July! I cried so much thinking I had aged my face and looked 60! But that was temporary and it got better in a week; I desperately iced 24/7 even though they said not to and I wore a head compression bandage (brought my own) as I was desperate for the swelling and bruising to get better. Even Dr Bill Johnson's office in Dallas Texas said don't fly the next day if I chose to get my fat graft in America. The second time, I showed Dr Kim and asked he be gentle as I bruise and swell easily as an old 50 year old lady who strives to look 20. The second time was much better, just mild swelling and bruising and I took arnica pills and used arnica cream which helped a lot with the bruising. You need at least 2 fat grafts for it to stay.

@MissOrange about the compression head bandage, Did you tell the Doctor that you would wear the bandage? Did he recommend it? Just check the bandage on google and there's several models. Did you wear one like this http://www.caromed.us/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Caromed-1-8006-Chin-Neck-Bandage-WM.png ?
My problem are nasolabial & cheek area. Do you think it will be strange if i just do it on those area or it's better to get full face since the price is not that different.
Anyway, how many days after the procedure you recommend to fly back to my home country?

I would highly not recommend icing after fat graft as stimulating blood supply to the injected fat is crucial for its survival, ice works against that.

I haven't seen your photo so cannot comment about sagging. Like you I used dermal fillers for nasolabial lines in my 40s. In my case the fillers last 4-6 months. Full face fat grafting covers more areas than fillers can. I didn't think it safe to have fillers injected all over my face, ie a liquid facelift but using one's own fat cells seems safer. I would only trust Dr Kim of DAPRS as fat grafting is his main specialty and it takes great skill to avoid lumpiness and an unnatural look. DA clinic is full of volumes of makeover books on their patients, befores and after. I looked through every photo!

You have good bone structure and that helps. With bad bone structure or removed bone, the fat can sag.

What kinds of facelifts did the 30y/o v-line girls have?
