motherhen
Hi Mrs King, I think he is way too arrogant to take in people's dissatisfactions. I'm not sure about them reading my previous posts etc...I said good things about him and Aone before, just a few small things that I wasn't happy with but extra fat graft would help solve. I don't know why he did not just show some empathy and hear me out. Why not give me some touch ups (with charges of course) then he would have a happy patient writing him a good review insead. I was so shock and disappointed and had no trust left for any other doctors, I changed my flight at a cost of $600 AUD to go home the next day. Right now my PS activities stopped here. You know how much time and energy is invested in this pursuit... I wish you luck and hope you'll find a skilled and kind doctor who will not abandon you. motherhen
Aone knows about my review on here. Post your feelings so they know how strongly we feel about being mistreated.
mimi60
Hi there, so sorry to hear your review. AONE was on my list for facelift surgery as it seems they are specialist on that. But after reading your review, that really puts me off. And I am sure you've spent a lot of money with them after all these procedures, I am so surprise that they can treat you like this! The worst thing for a PS to tell a patient is that they are not God that they cannot make you perfect! Why didn't he say it at the first consultation, see if anyone would go. By reading his Facebook and videos, I did get an impression that he is the kind of person who have a strong believe in himself, so he is not listening to you and address to your needs. I really believe facelift procedure is better in the western world. Take care Motherhen, hope you'll find a better doctor for revision. If you have time, do send me your recent picture to compare. k-couture
so sorry this happened to you motherhen. Did the Aone even offer any suggetions to remedy your problems? Seeing as you are in Australia it might be worth it to schedule an appointment with Bryan Mendelson in Melbourne. He is literally the master of facial contouring and most of his patients come in to have reverse aging procedures done. If anyone can offer you sound advice for your situation its him. dallas101
I was planning on going to Aone, but now I will not choose Aone. Thanks for an honest review.
motherhen
No offers no suggestions. He didn't even pay attention to what I was saying to know what to suggest. What frustrates me is that just some more fat here and there then I would be happy. My face has depressed areas all over and looks very weird when I smile or laugh. As a result, no smiling or laughing which is sad after spending close to AUD$20,000. When I next go to Melbourne I'll make sure to see him. Doctors in Australia charge you a good amount for consultations, especially specialists.
k-couture
Yeah this is true. Im not 100% sure but mendelson charges like 200ish for the first visit and the rest are free. Well he never charged me at least for any follow ups, even from the post op work of other surgeons he still does a check up for me free of charge. But that may be because im was a surgical patient of his. Either way he does do skype consults for interstate patients at no cost so maybe schedule an appointment there xx i hope everything will turn out well for u eventually! whyar
Hihi, I truely understand how you feel. Your incident happened to one of my friends when we went surgeries in thai. The doctor was friendly, when she told her what surgeries she wanted to do. But the doctor changed when she told him what result she expected. For me, i didnt do much research like what other forumers did and was also told that im stupid in private msg that i choose BK for my surgeries this time round. But til now, i am happy with the result. Perhaps, im one of the lucky ones from BK. Im not sure why dr kwon's attitude changed. But when i was in consultation room, the consultant told me i can tell doctor how i want my nose to be changed but dont show photos and insist the doctor that i want the particular nose that i wanted, doctor might not be happy. Yes, doctor should 100% listen to the patient that is paying him. But i came to understand is not because dont listen to patient but as a professional they should have their professional opinion for patients on what they expected and not just "copy" anybody nose. So now i didnt have angelababy or whoever actress nose that i dream of. But i think my surgery was successful, i get what i expected my nose to look like, and i think i looked better after. Hope dr kwon did his job of what you expected and you are happy with the result.
dreamsharer
Motherhen My two friends are finally not going for the consultation at Aone after reading your post here with my translation now. They initially still want the consultation out of curiosity but now think that they shouldn't be wasting their time on such a hypocrite. This is what they got me to convey over here as they don't know English well, they thank you for the review.
mehappy
Hello Motherhen, So sorry to read your post, but now I can see I was not mistaken at all about what I wrote about him. I was of a very high opinion about this doctor. Said so many wonderful things about him. He was the epitome of kindness while I was in the clinic. After I left that's where the problems started to appear. My friend told me my nose tip is deviated to the left. Eyebrows are too high. These are words of my friends. They didn't even know I had a surgery so after a while looking and looking at me without me saying anything they said all of that. My face dramatically has changed after fat graft started to subside. And all of his mistakes came to the surface. I was already sad, but then after what they said, which I already knew by myself really got me depressed. WHAT THE HELL? WHAT TO DO NOW? What doctor to go now to correct this mess? He knows my look is important due to my acting career, why to be such heartless?
susaki
what surgery have you done to your nose?
motherhen
Hi Mehappy, You don't appear on here a lot but I remember your post about your nose and I sent it to Aone and asked them to do something about it. At the time I just had my facelift done there, maybe 4 weeks post op. I also thought he was the kindest and most ethical doctor I've ever met. I have more posts than you and a lot of my earlier posts were glowing praises, respect and my satisfaction at choosing the right doctor...etc...I used to think I could 'read' people but as it turned out I was wrong about this man. Quite a lot of ladies contemplating facelift were planning on going to him because of my earlier posts. Some have since reconsidered. If I were you I would make more noise. At least that would help other people.
wintergirl88
Smthg like fat graft really should be done in your own country, if possible. The fat graft will be changing continuously over a few months, u need to be able to consult the dr if there are any issues. If u do in Korea, once u leave Korea generally the surgeons will not treat u as high priority anymore. They don't have to bother to maintain good relations with u because there are always so many new patients coming to Korea anyway.
asianlady
So many patients coming to Korea but remember, nip and tuck/beauty businesses are very competitive in Korea. You have to be a really good plastic surgeon to be known/famous.
