caro89 Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Hey! I'm also looking for face fat grafing. I had a consultation with few clinics in Seoul. Now I have to make the biggest decisison to choose the right doc and clinic!! I'm so stressed. I also had a consultation with Fresh and I actually felt it was good. But now I'm searching more and more in order to make the correct choice. Can you please help with toughts on Fresh or other clinics for face fat grafting! Thank you
sarah_luv Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 oh, are you in Korea now? could you tell me how was Fresh PS? If you don't mind may I ask what makes you to have face fat grafting? thank you in advance
caro89 Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 yes I'm in Korea. I actualyl have sunken cheeks and I would like to have a fuller and rounder face that I actually had 3 years ago. I just had a eating disorder but now since 2 years I'm eating good but my face/cheeks are not becoming like before. Yes I had a consultation at Fresh and other clinics. Fresh is one of the clinic that I have in mind but still searching to make sure that I choose the right one. I'm looking for something that will make the fat stay so which means choose the right doc who is using good technic etc
sarah_luv Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 I see. My main concern also sunken eyes and cheeks so looking for right clinic. If you had consultation at the other clinic please share your ex here! Thank you in advance.
gats Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Try to get PRP fat graft as apparently that has better chance of survival. However no matter where you go you'll most likely need to come back for a second FG (aka top up) in a year or so to get the best results so you'll want to ask if top up is included in the price, if not they should give you discounted price if you need to do a second FG. Which clinics are you leaning towards now?
caro89 Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 I had a consultation with -Dream -Fresh -Banobagi -JK -Cinderella -Answer PS -Wonjin I'm considering Dream, Fresh, Banobagi and JK. Dream: consultation was good but the doc was not very enthusiast. He didn't gave me a mirror to point him the areas that I'm more concerned about. He was just listening and not really giving his advice. When I asked about his advice, he said it's 100% your choice... Fresh: I really liked the consultation. The translator, manager and doc gave me alot of time. Doc was explaning and alos giving his advice. Plus he said he does Face fat grafting with PRP. Plus he has done it on foreigner which is a plus for me as I'm not Korean. But the thing is that I've heard he is not a board certified surgeon and he has 7 years of experience. JK: is a big posch hospital. Well organized but super expensive. Doc was ok. Banobagi: they took my pictures on the consultation and doc point out the areas that needed the fat the most. Plus also asked me what I would like to do. But he asked me if about the nose surgery which I have never considered and which I don't think I need. That's one think I didn't really liked but he was not pushing. I just said that I will never tough my nose and he smiled and said all right no issues. Overall it was good. So at this point I'm really confused about which one to choose or should I visit more hospitals? Please help!
gats Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 A doctor being too passive (like the Dream doc was) isn't good at all. Injecting fat/filler is an art and not just a technical procedure, they need to treat the face as a whole, putting too much in one area and not enough in another could make your face go out of proportion, so the doc has to have a good eye for where and how much fat to place and not just say I'll inject it where ever you want. Since you're confused on who to pick, maybe you need to get more specific in what you ask in a consultation? I would ask each of them the following. Then later you can compare and contrast the the answers you get from each doc: -For me the most important thing would their treatment plan as that will determine your results. Have you seen how docs use a marker to mark up where to place the fat on a patient's face before surgery? I would give them a sheet of paper with a blank face printed on it (ex. http://kleynhans.co.za/images/faceIllustration.gif) and then ask him to mark up where he would place the fat. You can tell him to use big Xs to signify placing more fat in that area (like the middle of your forehead) and smaller Xs to signify a smaller amount of fat, no marks would mean he wouldn't touch that area. Ask questions on why they chose to distribute the fat that way, why they injected more in some areas over another, why they didn't want to inject the unmarked area. These answers should reveal a lot about each doc and how your result would be if you chose them. -Price. How much for the first FG and how much for the followup FGs if necessary? Is there a time limit when the second FG must be done (ex. within a year) and are you okay with coming back within that time? -Where exactly will the donor fat be taken from? Have them show you which exact part of the thigh will they use, will they use one leg only or both? What do they do to the donor site to control bruising?
caro89 Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 thank you very much for your advice! I will ask all these questions in my 2nd consultaion. Have you ever had face fat grafting? Do you after how long can we exercice after ffg?

caro89 Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 hey! I had a consultation with Fresh for face fat grafting and other clinics as well. But I really liked Fresh so now I'm doing the profond researches in order to make my decision. So which one are you going for? Did you have any consultations?
gats Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 I haven't had fg, I'm still researching it. Do you need to decide by a certain date? Since consultations are free, I think you should talk to as many as you can. Are you going to consult with Kim Hansung http://www.kimhansung.co.kr/en You can find review of them from another member here: #
caro89 Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 I will probably do it in December. I haven't heard about them. But will do some research on it! thank you.
upintheair Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 It says that Dr. Kim Han Sung is a medical surgeon not a plastic surgeon, which doesn't necessarily mean that he's not skilled or qualified. However, everywhere you go you are warned to ensure to go to a certified plastic surgeon not a medical surgeon.
gats Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 His profile page says he's a member of the Korean Society and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, they actually have a site but it's old and the member search doesn't seem to work: http://www.plasticsurgery.or.kr/php/eng/member/mem_search.php Does anyone know how to search for board certified plastic surgeons in Korea? I posted this article before which mentioned only plastic surgeons are allowed to use their name in the clinic name so I thought that was an indication Kim Han Sung was actually a plastic surgeon but maybe I'm wrong?
astrid07 Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 On Kimhansung website only says 'Professional Medical Surgeon' not plastic surgeon that makes me very confused..
