Anyone gone to Trend surgery clinic in Korea?

Recommended Posts

I got quoted 6.6 million for rhinoplasty and extra 770k for alar reduction. Rib cartilage might be used which requires sedation anesthesia so might be 7370000 won in total :O

Do you guys think it is overpriced?

Depends where you go. April 31 is can be easily 6-8 mil for primary. At JW, I was quoted 6m but I haggled a 20% discount cus I was getting multiple procedures. Local clinics can be much cheaper. I heard the dr at Trend is very meticulous and changes the cast every day, so it would explain why he may charge more due to the amount of time he spends on each patient.

To sum up, it's expensive - this is a fact. But is it "overpriced"? That is a judgement that can only be made by you. If you think the dr can achieve what other drs cannot, or he seems to understand your needs better than others, then I think it's well worth the money. I know people who are unsatisfied with their 7m rhinos and people who love their 3m rhinos.

i mean clearly they are charging you a foreigner price :P
I was thinking of going to april 31 but the before afters are pretty bad looking so I decided not to.
The only clinic I got totally ripped off at was Braun, where they offered locals a price of 1.8 mil for basic rhino (tip , bridge) but offered the same procedure to me at 5.5 mil.

Is that overpriced? Definitely. Overpriced means it costs more than its actually worth

Imo if it's a simple case, there are many other doctors who can do a good or better job. Trend doesn't seem to be very popular these days either. You don't have to pay for the doctor to change your cast everyday, many expert doctors don't do that and the results are the same. It's just a gimmick to charge you 200%.

what, people really pay the dr at trend to change the cast? and why charge in the first place? doesnt sound right to me. i wanted to go to trend for a long time until they told me that my nose revision (take out my old implant) will likely be between 7-8mill. Ive crossed them off simply bc im not willing to pay that amount for a nose revision

Hello Erichyung, reading your past posts it seemed like you visited a lot of clinic this trip. Also, seems like you don’t like clinics mentioned on purse such as Dream, April 31st, etc. Are there other clinics for Rhinoplasty that you would recommend instead?

Haha it's hard for me to recommend any to you because I avoided all the foreigner rip off clinics that are popular on this forum simply because I am unable to pay 7k plus for a rhino, I hate getting ripped off, but you may be far richer than me ;). Clinics like JK quoted me close to 8 million, they must have been jking. Other than that I visited all the nose speciality clinics. I now know almost all the possible nose conditions lol. However you are probably a female and the clinics I prefer will probably not be the same as you. I only like natural(looking) noses (ironically) and searched for doctors who specialise mostly in male noses.

But I was very disappointed as most models on websites actually look plastic in real life, at least to me. They make model noses extra tall and pointy so it looks good on photo, and doctors have admitted this to me during consultation. Most doctors also only do open rhinoplasty because Korea is such an openly fake place that no one cares whether you have a telltale scar, most people have done something anyway. Depending on your country, this may be bad for you.

Anyway Most clinics should be pretty good at female noses tbh. I would advise you to shop around before settling on one clinic. There aren't many clinics to be honest, you can complete tons of consults in a day.

Lastly, I just wanna say, if you think a nose picture looks good. Look at it again, and again. You might change your mind. Sometimes we watch kdramas and get influenced, but it really isn't practical to have such a pointy or high nose in real life and tons of people are going to criticise you for looking so fake, instead of saying you're attractive.

I understand. Would you mind sharing with us clinics that you visited and your thought on them? I found your review to be interesting like you said since you’re a male your perspective might be different from us female.

You said that Trend doesn’t seem to be popular these days. But many girls went there and said it’s crowded with Chinese patients. Is there bad review lately? Is there a reason why it hasn’t been popular lately?

I’m guessing you must be from America? Since you mentioned there are many clinics in America that can do closed rhinoplasty. If that’s the case, why didn't you get it done in America?

almost every clinic is crowded with chinese patients tbh, I haven't been to any clinic without a group of chinese patients waiting at the lobby, maybe there's just a lot of chinese people who want surgery. But frankly, i dont know about trend, never went there, was intending to, but after reading about their price decided not to. Their website also seems under maintained and hard to find. I haven't seen anything about trend that says that their results are a lot better than other clinics either. Might be good for you, but the fact that they charge in the 7000s is an immediate no for me.

Surgery in America is extremely expensive, their top surgeons are likely similar to seoul's , except that because they do surgery for celebrities (beverly hills), basic procedures cost a lot. It's just that seoul's surgeons have a habit of using open rhino mostly, while more surgeons use closed rhino in America because surgery is still rather taboo in America and many patients don't want scarring. There are probably only a handful of surgeons that specialize in closed rhino in Seoul (2-3), Dr.Park a being one of them but having usually too subtle results.

Hi tt009015,

How did you communicate with Trend, in Chinese? I was under the assumption they don't have an English translator.

How did you find her/him? From the government or randomly? How much does she/he charge per hour? How are you sure that she/he doesn't make your prices higher?:amazed:(commisions)
