tinlee
Hi! I'm in S Korea now for rhinoplasty also! I am doing multiple procedures at once so I am really trying to find a safe but also a clinic that will do a nice job. So far, I really like VIP and TLPS out of all the hospitals I've consulted with. I've consulted with BK, Grand, Braun, MVP, JJ hongjinjoo. I went to JK and Banobagi but wasn't able to get a consultation date with them due to busy schedule. Following this post to see what others have to say about the best and safest rhinoplasty hospital in South Korea

scandinavia
My friend is considering rhinoplasty in Korea as well. We are going together in summer, and we are still deciding which clinic to go to. Our options right now are Wonjin, ID, DA, and Banobagi. Unfortunate to hear Banobagi is so busy!! >.< Might consider adding opera, marble and star to our list as well. tinlee
If you set up a day for consultation with Banobagi, you may get lucky. But yes, I walked into the clinic and they were very busy and asked me to come in for a consultation the next day but I just decided to look into other clinics. I am going to VIP now for a second consultation. I really like their work with harmony rhinoplasty. I'm full Korean but I really like the whole Caucasian look and I think VIP rhinoplasty gives that look. Are you here in Korea now or later during the month? tinlee
Lol! There is so many!!!!! Apgujeong is filled!!! Once you exit the subway station all you see are plastic surgery signs. It's really overwhelming. I thought I could just go to a couple of hospitals and get a feel of what I wanted, but damn, I was wrong. All the doctors and consultants will tell you everything will be fine and you'll become really pretty. And all I got a sense was that they will all tell you what you want to hear. So read a lot of other people reviews and research. Are you and your friend only considering doing rhinoplasty? So far with VIP, they have been really nice. But then again, we are paying customers and they should be nice, lol! But what I mean by really nice is that I am sort of a super worry wart and I asked them a million questions on whatsapp and all their English consultants were so patient with me. They would look through my file and talk to the doctor and respond to me. They took the extra time to really reassure me. I really liked that about them. That's is why I actually went in to have a second consulation, to ask Dr. Lee about all my medical questions about the procedure. I am getting multiple procedures so I was really worried about safety. I have a son and couldn't bear the thought of passing away because of a messed up plastic surgery. But after the consultation today, I think I'm ready and I chose VIP so I scheduled my surgery date with them. But this is just what I felt so far but I will have to wait and see if I'm still okay after the surgery. And of course the results, that scares me too because I read a lot of things about how botched surgeries made people depressed. So of course safety and results, I'm praying everything will be fine. scandinavia
Thanks for the detailed reply @tinlee!!! I know Korea is the "hub" of Plastic Surgery but it does sound really overwhelming!! We were thinking of going to clinics around gangnam station as I heard there are heaps of plastic surgery clinics there as well. VIP sounds good by your review. Its really important the consultants are nice and patient with you! We will be asking sooo many questions as well haha hopefully they don't get sick of us! My friend is considering facial contouring done as well and I am thinking of getting breast augmentation done. They all say they are the best and everything but idk at the moment its all just up in the air on where we are gonna go. Our initial choice is ID, Wonjin, DA and have now added VIP to the list. Would love to hear how your surgery went!! Looking forward to hear from you after the surgery!!! Good luck!!!!
tinlee
Hi! @scandinavia so I thought I'd give you a little update on how my surgery went. I got rib cartilage rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, and genioplasty at VIP international plastic surgery clinic. I got it done last week Thursday and right after the surgery I wasn't in too much pain because of the pain killer. The hard parts were not being able to breathe through my nose, my chest felt tight from the new implants, the site where they harvested the rib cartilage was sore, and the swelling made me feel like a puffer fish. The first two days were the hardest and then I felt much better by the third day. It's been six days and my swelling has gone down significantly and I have some bruising left on my eyes and neck. I got to the doctor everyday (except on Sunday) to get cleaned up and checked. At VIP, they also give laser scar prevention treatment and deswelling mask everyday after my check up for free! And they also wash my hair for me which my auntie even thought was super neat. As for the plastic surgery hospital, VIP international, so far they have been great. I whatsapped with them a lot while I was trying to decide on a hospital and though I was repetitive with my concerns, they were kind enough to reply to me constantly. I was supposed to get out of the hospital after a day or two but they let me stay for three days because I told them I felt a bit warm and feverish and the rib harvesting site felt sore. The staff and nurses really do look out for you. I rarely see Dr. Lee (the one who performed my surgery) though. I only saw him once after my surgery and he checked on me to see if everything looked okay. The doctor that does my cleaning is a different doctor, not sure the name though? So far, I really like this plastic surgery center as far as staff and treatment goes. I even made friends with the people that stayed in the rooms with me while I was there so it's nice to see them everyday at cleaning and talk about recovery. I have yet to see how the results look and if I like them. It's been six days so it's way too early to judge how good they are with their work on me. If you have any questions about my surgery just reply to me and I'll get back to you ASAP. I spent almost a month in korea searching for a hospital and also finding out what procedure I should do and I know how nerve wracking it is. kh0404
Agree!! agree!! It's quite hard to make the appointment to the clinic which with busy schedule, if you did, u r really lucky ^o^~that's why I went with agency for my revi rhinoplasty & fat grafting in spring, I connected with DFK and they helped me to arrange lots of things before I arrived korea, I think it's quite helpful tho~ at least for me la~ (^∇^)
