Hey guys.

Main plan: I want to get a round of plastic surgery. Is it possible to get several operations in a period of time? I basically want to look more "Youthful" in a sustainable way and possibly get a small nose and jaw job but of course it's dubious where I should begin for this. A face lift, fat implant, eye lift to make my eyes appear bigger, etc. Preferably more permanent solutions. I understand that my issues really do have to be looked at by a real consultant to understand what may be done, but beyond that I have no idea what ballpark I should even go to, so to speak, and where I should focus my research.

I am a college student and I'd be free for 3 weeks during springbreak which would allow minor operations. More intensive would have to wait for the summer. I'm also white--if facial features factor in here.

It *might* be some sort of medical issue - I genuinely feel awful and like my face and eyes hurt+feel almost swollen all the time. Anyways, I've aged about 10-20 years in the past few months despite my up'd usage of sunscreen and hydrating skincare products. I am only 21 and I can't even look in the mirror or I freak out and want to stay home. People are constantly giving me disgusted looks, a guy in my class teased me that I need to stop smoking because it's not good for me (never smoked in my life), and...well, I more or less am sick of living this life and I don't care how much borrowed money I spend, I need to get this done. After seeing a real doctor this week, of course, and getting any tests I need done.

These are the main problems for me.

1***. My nose (though I can definitely leave it for later). Slightly bulbous, curves when I smile for some reason and sticks out like it's some alien object, doesn't fit my face at all. Probably the weirdest goofy but creepy nose I've ever seen. I *wish* I could just get a minor nose job to make it a bit daintier, removing the odd tip or something, but apparently they always will be 2000$+.

2****. My sagging face and lack of "youthfulness." I guess there's just not enough volume. Really high, forward cheekbones but really awkward fat deposits on my midface that give me baby-jowls and nasolabial folds. I didn't have these a few months ago.

3*****. Severe sunken, dark eyes. You can see the deep line where the textural anomaly begins I'm not sure if midface surgeries or lifts to restore volume would also have the effect of helping them. I hear fat grafting rarely works. And fillers are, well. So very temporary. I don't want to be a botox vampire. >.<

4**. Also my jaw. Seems like they do surgeries like this all the time in Korea....buuut, yeah, it does seem like a huge commitment. Thoughts? I have a slightly goofy, pronounced and wide jaw.

5. And what type of operations could improve the smoothness/suppleness of my skin? I have a lot of weird textural issues, redness, bumps, etc. They haven't responded to a variety of skincare regimens, and only get worse if I do nothing. They've gotten worse over the past few months.

Other concerns
1. Translation. I hear GNG, a great option for rhinoplasties, accommodates English people like me easily enough - even picking them up from the airport or something - but I also hear that clinics usually specialize. I'm not sure if I could find a clinic that'd take care of most of the guestwork for me or if I'd really have to hire a translator. Not sure if I want to befriend someone for the purpose. Seems kind of exploitative and wrong.

2. Whether or not I'm really better off flying to Korea to get work done. I do have a korean dormmate I'm on good terms with but...it'd be super embarrassing asking for her help. Especially if she turns me down. She's not even into the whole plastic surgery thing, either. Anyways, I thought it was kind of natural to think of going to Korea--after all, youth is a bigger deal over there, and their clinics seem to be able to do more extensive and masterful work.
Are there good alternatives for my purposes in an English speaking country, or not?

3. General costs. I'm willing to go up to 6000$ for my first round, but with other fees included. Hotel, etc.
Of course I'd want to fly there and stay there for at least a few days for recovery. I'm not sure if this is too optimistic of a price.

I have the same issues like you do, except my nose has a slight hump in the middle of it. I'm just about to graduate from high school and I don't plan to get any surgeries until I'm out of college.

For rhinoplasty I definitely recommend GNG. They do such an excellent job as far as I have seen with positive reviews and B&A photos.

But View is another clinic that can do both rhinoplasty and jaw reduction, they have some doctors that specialize in different surgeries, I'd check them out too as they also have positive reviews. You can take a look at Sarahdomm's review on them. She did acculift and fat grafting as well to prevent sagging and to appear even younger: # And for your skin there are dermatology clinics that offer skin care. I'm not sure what clinics, but there are lots of those around in South Korea.

However, if I were you, I'd take at least 1-2 surgeries at a time (maybe three depending on how minor they are), wait 6 months out (for swelling to go down) and then go with the next surgery. It'll give better results. I've seen people that have gone all out and they didn't seem as natural afterwards.

Plus, it takes so much general anesthesia to undergo a lot of surgeries. Depending on whether you've had surgery before or not you'll react weirdly with anesthesia. For my wisdom teeth removal I was constantly crying even though I didn't feel any pain at all when I woke up. If you've already dealt with that then you'll probably just be really tired.

I've also seen reviews where people got both jaw contouring and rhinoplasty done and they had a hard time breathing in the first week after their surgery, so I don't recommend doing those surgeries at the same time.

In the end though it is your preferences, your schedule, etc. So don't take my advice fully if you can't work with it. I hope it was helpful at least.

Yeah, this was helpful! I feel like I do suffer similar problems to that person - shame they want to keep the pricing a secret though - and am kind of energized now to go through my own transformation journey. God. That sounds cheesy but whatever, I'm desperate.

My jaw is really weird, nothing in the mirror reveals anything strange, but in some pics it's like I have an underbite or something. It's also broad and not a v-shape, the masculine appearance ages me. Moreover, my nose looks okay in the pictures but awful in the ones other people take. Of course I'm mostly concerned at the moment about looking younger. The burgandy one is probably the most accurate.

****PHOTO ALBUM**** This was mostly taken before the weird sagging and tired look happened, those the blue-shirt one is slightly more recent. Hah, I'm not done up in any of them, but oh well. The attractiveness will come far later.
Keep in mind most of these have flattering lighting and/or filters applied aside from 2. As I am the issues, like dark sunken eyes and nasolabial folds, have worsened tenfold so these pictures aren't accurate. I was just so depressed the last time I took a raw photo of myself two weeks ago that I'm too scared to do it again. I'm even noticing that I look bad in mirrors, and that's a first time thing for me.
I don't know if my jaw is fat or just looks weird, honestly. It's sooo squishy and definitely looks a lot more v-shaped with I frame my face with my fingers, squishing down the fat.

Yeah, I know how it feels. I have that broad masculine jaw too.

If you want to try looking around for prices from certain clinics that you're interested in I highly recommend you take a look at this thread: # If you go toward the last few pages of that thread you'll probably find recent prices. However, things may change for you when go to face to face consultation. But you can always negotiate prices and try to lower them. Don't feel discouraged. Go ahead and do some online consultations with clinics that you're interested in and then write down the prices they give you. Just keep in mind cheaper isn't better, infact there are cases at really cheap clinics where there are botched jobs and deaths (because switching doctors). Well, expensive isn't always better either. Doctors should have a good reason to have expensive prices.

I also recently explained to some people as to why we foreigners are priced a little more than locals, and how we can counter it:

As for aging, I saw this recent thread on this one doctor that does such an excellent job with face lifts. Here:
# And this is his website: http://area88ps.com/

It's in Korean but he does have an English translator. I'm not sure if you'll want to go with him though because it's little more expensive than what other clinics offer. But a lot say it's worth it for the results.

I think the doctor used to work for April31 and then decided to open up his own clinic.

I'm not sure as to what other clinics specialize in this, I'll just look into it little more since I'm also needing a facelift as well and will definitely need one after facial contouring.

Fat Grafting is another way to combat the aging problem. Here's a thread that gives information on that, I'd sift through it and take down important notes on it: # There was also another girl who had the same issues that we have and she went to Fresh PS for fat grafting: # As for your jaw: I saw you say something about an underbite? I've seen threads where people got this surgery called double jaw surgery and that was to correct their underbite/overbite. It also makes the face smaller and more feminine in a way. BUT, even if the people who did this surgery got good results, some said it wasn't worth it for all the pain and other issues that come with it during the healing process.

Here's another thread on double jaw surgery if you're interested, it's a review:
# Oh yeah and I forgot to say something about the communication thing you wanted to know earlier, sorry about that! Most clinics in South Korea have a translator so communication shouldn't be a problem. Hopefully.

There's also this app called realself, it has a whole bunch of useful information that you can find, so I highly recommend you take a look at that one too.

Also keep some photos of things that you're looking for, and show them to the doctors that you visit for consultation. It'll help them give an idea as to what you're wanting for results.

I can't see your photos for some reason? They aren't showing up. Sorry.

@Perceval and @Lonekitty another great place to look up real before and after photos is soyoung.com - it’s a Chinese site but if you translate the pages you can get a good feel for promo pricing, pain levels, and how well certain clinics do certain procedures

This is a great website! Thank you so much for the useful link!

@Lonekitty i think you have great bone structure and pretty features - love your lips and eyes esp! Perhaps your zygoma is little prominent from front view? This makes the face look flat and "older" esp if you lose weight. I'm not sure why you experienced this lately but if you lost quite abit of weight, your cheeks may look more sunken when your zygoma is prominent laterally.

Nose wise... your nose tip angle is downwards pointing which can age a face (the projection looks fine btw). You could look into tiplasty for this.

I can't see your jaw so I can't comment - its best to consult with clinics to get a better idea and also to check out the forums so you can pick up the terminology & vocab which really helps in communicating your concerns. I remember being unable to properly describe my issues, especially for my nose, when I first embarked on my PS journey. Hope this helps!

Ahhh! This thread is starting to take off. Thanks for the additional info, guys. I feel like I'm gonna be here for a while, just reflecting, posting random relevant thoughts. Will not try to spam (at most only post once/twice a day).

Someone can't see the pics? Huh. Well. Here's my photo album again if you can't see them (the other 3 broken pics are the same, they just failed to post for some reason: ***

Today my eyes were especially swollen or sunken--even a weird eyelid crease formed above my regular double eyelid, and the entire circumference looks incredibly dark. The corners were drooped farther down then usual; my eyes looked like triangles! My eyes looked kind of red/dull too, and feel so tired. It's hard to keep them open. People were definitely judging me for how I looked. Random guys walking by and staring into my eyes with expressions of vague concern (and I wasn't the one looking first, they were).

I will see the doctor tomorrow and pray that she'll refer me to some specialists. Someone told me that my range of symptoms resemble those of people she knew that got thyroid issues and their looks, she said, were ruined in the same manner over the course of a few months until they got help for them...such issues run in the family but I dunno if I have them? Of course if by some miracle I look worse than usual because of a fixable medical issue I'd definitely turn my attention to skin treatments+fixing my nose. Can't believe I'm praying that it's a medical issue, lol...

The jaw issue is annoying thooooough it appears like it has improved a lot compared to when I was a few pounds heavier? It actually looks smaller, less masculine, in proportion to my cheekbones (naturally gigantic). Maybe you guys can talk about your own weight loss experiences and how it affected your face. I still don't know how chubby regular jaws are, but it seems like there's a lot of fat in the area. Below, on it, and above. Right now I can squeeze it and pull out the chub two inches. Pulling back the fat I have more of a v-face, it's weird. I still can lose 20 pounds healthily, though as per usual I'm concerned if it'll only make me look older and not get rid of the weird fat. I don't know if my weird midface fat deposit can be fixed with weight loss too.

I think my actual facial features are somewhat acceptable *for now* because I seem to be very attractive in flattering/dim lighting to guys--as in, the other girls around me are ignored and I'm the only one hit on, complimented or stared at by men. Then in regular lighting (unless I'm wearing a thick layer of foundation applied by my fashionista dormmate and nice clothes) I'm the one ignored and the other girls get normal attention. Because of this, I think it might be moreover of an issue of how harsh or regular, non-soft light falls upon the planes of my face--the sunken areas, the rough skin, the jowls--that's the main problem. Yes, everyone looks better in good lighting, but with me the proportional improvement is much greater. It's like Cinderella if she actually looked like a servant girl and was transformed by beautiful fairy magic. I feel like the fat deposits of my face need to be thoroughly sculpted or something. Some of your suggestions do fit.

Oh, didn't see this comment either! Thanks for the compliments, jamie. I think I might be considered beautiful...but only by somewhat older men. There's the creepy trope of men being interested in girls, sure, but these men tend to be well-off and look decent, the types that're actually looking to commit. Guys my age? Not even an option to them.

I lost weight a few months back. I seemed to look fine then, but for whatever reason my face has felt incredibly fatigued/painful - it's like I can feel it drooping - and the issues have worsened over time. Aging? I don't know.

Tiplasty actually sounds like a wonderful idea. My nose is so freakin weird on the tip and all I want is to have it upwards facing. I know it looks kind of mild in these pictures but daaaamn does it look weird in the pics other people take of me. There seems to be quite a bit of excess cartilage only there for about 2 inches. I looked it up and the pricing for the tip is A+++ for me but of course it seems like something I *could* get done in the states because it's not as complex. Thoughts on this? I'd probably consider the tiplasty and a really high-quality face lift. Alternatively, a fat-graft. Goodness knows that I definitely need to do something about my undereyes.

And how would I in theory compensate for my zygoma?

Anyways I'll look into the other vocab, etc.

Aww i feel you about the men! I have similar features too and grew up insecure about it! Yea I suspected weight loss and I definitely aged losing weight due to the facial structure I have. I think the vocab helps a ton, not just medical terminology but the various adjectives for describing your features in relation with your face. This helps so much in describing your concerns to the doctor and I was admittedly crap at telling the doc what I wanted for my primary nose job. I suspect the number one reason why primary rhinos end up less than satisfactory is due to patients being unable to communicate effectively to the doctor and they usually show pictures only of celebrities as a means to communicate? Usually happens to younger patients imho.

Anyways, I think tip rotation can really make a nose look shorter and change the entire balance of a face. Ashlee Simpson comes to mind... or blake lively or scarlett johasson who seem to have had tiplaties and it "de-aged" them.

In USA and the west, the zygoma is seen to be beauty feature and the cheekbones also help you age better long term. I can't tell the extent unless you look straight into the camera. The fat grafts may help to give projection at the mid cheek area! And for non-surgical ways hair style and contouring makeup. I think if you can have non-surgical means to compensate it would be ideal and I personally like forward projection of the zygoma but less of the side projection (think....olivia wilde or lucy liu?)

I'd think if your side arch projection is really too prominent u can look into surgical means and maybe the less invasive ones which address only the lateral projection. My two cents again!

*****Hmm, before I continue, I want to make a rule to everyone: I want to avoid hearing about all the super-expensive procedures I need (i.e., 6000$+). I want to focus on stuff I can actually dream up and follow through with, or else I'll just despair.
This forum's theme is now "The Biggest Bang For My Buck Procedures to make me look my age or even younger in the long-term".

-Tiplasty (though now that I look at it the issue might be the whole nose. Do you suppose a rotated tip would still help, considering the new pics?)
-A midface surgery/fat graft to correct the contours and add feminine volume--possibly something that'll also help my awful sunken undereyes too. Jamie's suggestion sounds great. I don't know *how* it would work with my broad cheeks, though.
-Face lift

Also telling me what procedures can be just as well+cheaply done here in America would be appreciated too. Accommodation expenses are pretty expensive elsewhere.

This morning I got the weird burst of courage to actually take more pictures of my face and was pleasantly surprised...filter or no, my skin looks soooo much better than it used to--I basically have eternally inflamed, cystic acne and bumpy skin but it seems to be almost gone. The pictures seem slightly bulbous+wide due to lens distortion but otherwise are accurate. Of course with less cystic acne to worry about, I'm now noticing all the things wrong with my face. RIP. I already was skipping events and not going to class sometimes because of what I look like. Well. At least I kind of understand what my problem is now. Anyways here's my grumpy, tired morning face+bedhead,

I see the zygoma now; the area, despite my defined cheeks, is oddly flat. Before I kept on wondering why my naso folds looked so bad - other girls have them - then realized it's because the cheek area looks so flat so they look very unnatural. And this is a huge revelation to me--after all, I was always told (when I was fat, probably out of pity) that my cheeks were beautiful and so defined. Turns out that they ARE apart of the problem after my weight loss. RIP. This kind of explains why soft lighting flatters me so too. My face is literally drooping.

I also went to see the doctor and unfortunately for the pained chest, red/sore/sagging eyes, and painful face, she didn't really recommend anything besides taking allergy pills and keeping a few health diaries. I will have some tests done, however. My fatigue/inability to feel "refreshed" probably are worsening the issue.

Also, the weight issue has become a much larger challenge for me. My dormmates always insisted "Oh, _____, you look good, stop losing weight!" Of course I thought it was the usual lies because they were saying this when I was 190. I'm down to 149 now and they're still saying it. Now I wonder if what they really mean is that it's aging me, but they're too afraid to say it or something.

What are your guys' take on it? I know I mentioned it before but it seems like it might be more serious than I thought.
-Lose weight; I still have a big belly/excess waist fat. My body looks actually almost bombshell otherwise (wish I had a pretty face instead. RIP), but I feel like I have a lot of that unhealthy/cortisol waist fat.
-How should I factor in getting plastic surgery into the weight loss? Should I try losing and then getting surgery? But what if there's a risk in losing more fat to my face? This would be great IMO for my jaw, it's genuinely that big because of fat, but would have a mysterious effect on my midface/cheek area+nasolabial folds.
-Work out and eat a lot, staying the same weight while maybe gaining healthy fat if that's possible+getting plastic surgery to correct the issues+jaw.

And I kind of have a reason to hasten and fix my issues ASAP...it's because I met someone for the first time. online. I know. Online. It's sad and kind of proof that I'm really ugly - fat or no, I've never been asked out. We've talked via webcam for hours on end and he thinks I'm beautiful but he's wrong. The webcam IMO is very flattering to me. He's...well, basically out of my league. He sends a lot of videos and pictures of his adventures and life and he's, well. Yeah. He's one of those dashing guys from every angle. Fit and tall too. Before anything romantic we talk and laugh for hours on end every day for months and tbh I've never really had that connection with a guy before. Didn't even know he was so attractive when I fell for him. >.< Last week he asked me to be his girlfriend even though I tried sabotaging his love for me a week before then (basically to force him to friendzone me because I thought it was ethical, considering my appearance and how I most definitely would disappoint him).
I know, probably TMI, but it does add an interesting dimension to all of this. For the first time in my life I have a man. Unfortunately, however, I look too bad to even dare meeting him. I tried to push him away - it's only right - but I'm weak, I can't let him go. Basically if I want to stay with him or even find any other love in my life, I need this surgery. I spent almost my entire life being fat...and now I feel like I can't even live out my youth properly.

Anyways I'm sorry about this forum kind of being like a blog. Buuuut in a way it's really helping me out and not be so blind to what's going on. Thanks for the help so far.

Actually tried to take more pics as the day has gone on and nm, it seems to be pretty bad. I feel very tired and ill, and I look it (though tbh I always look like that regardless); it seems to get worse as the day goes on and the lighting becomes more natural. Anyway, the second one is a pic of my double eye bags/sunken eyes. They're ridiculous.

And the worse...

My nasolabial area is just. No. I need this fixed.

Spring break can't come quickly enough and it seems like a bad idea to give into instant gratification and get expensive fillers, when I know very well I need a more thorough solution. >.<
Unfortunately I think I might only be able to go up to 4600$--maybe more in the long-run, but as for now going any higher would be risky. Of course if my first surgery went well I might want to look into financing options for more.

Oh yeah, taking advantage of the poor but honest lighting, here's another one showcasing the real issue: (at least my jaw isn't actually crooked, it's fairly decent. It's just that I move it awkwardly/tense when I'm feeling bad).

I can't bear to watch you talk about yourself anymore in such a negative tone. YOU DO NOT NEED THIS SURGERY. Please talk to a professional counselor -- something isn't right if you're 21 and you feel the need to be younger. And go to an allergist -- don't rely on taking allergy pills. You could be allergic to specific things that are making your face swollen. There are so many things that you should address prior to having plastic surgery.

I also worry about this online guy. PLEASE do your due diligence and confirm that he's not a scammer.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who sensed something was wrong here. Seeing the way Lonekitty talks about herself and looking at her pics just sets off alarm bells for me that she needs help. Wanting plastic surgery to enhance your looks is fine but avoiding going out, thinking surgery is the only way you'll have a normal life, and thinking people are disgusted by you when they look at you... I think you may have an anxiety disorder that is warping your view of yourself. Plastic surgery cannot fix that and in fact it could make it worse as it'll be a never ending cycling of procedures to fix perceived flaws your mind magnifies. If you hate yourself this much now at 21, I can't imagine how you'll deal with actual aging as you enter your 30s and 40s and beyond. Please talk to a therapist about how you're feeling, your campus should have mental health professionals you can talk with.

Also about the online boyfriend, I'm getting some catfish vibes here. Have you face timed or talked to him via webcam to confirm he's real? Be careful dear as there are guys out there who get off on pretending to be someone else.
