dal21 Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Hello everyone! ☺️ I'll be going to Seoul for the next several months and I'm looking at getting botox and fillers done at a few places, mainly: jawline botox, and undereye, nose and forehead fillers. I've been looking through 강남언니 gangnamsister.com and there's a plethora of procedures at really cheap prices it's almost shocking! Does anyone know of any clinics that are popular with the locals for such procedures? What do you think of gowoonsesang, and Clair Medical Group (different from Claire Clinic) for botox and fillers? Also, anyone has experience with safe and gentle doctors? I'm looking at natural-looking fillers without excessive bruising or swelling and I don't want to lose my ability to smile after botox. Any opinions are welcome!
thebootyfan Posted August 27, 2018 Posted August 27, 2018 I would not recommend you to go cheap for any facial procedure. I think Botox and fillers are serious enough to find a good place. Saw so many girls after lip gel injections with clots of that gel inside their lips and it’s almost impossible to get rid of it when I was looking for a place for myself, I chose only top clinics and out of them went to the one that liked the most. Another thing to consider is the surgeon. When I met dr Lee from regen, who subsequently made me look prettier, I understood from our first consultation that would get my procedure only under his knife! And with simple procedures like fillers and botox should be the same.
meghanlover-3 Posted August 27, 2018 Posted August 27, 2018 I don't know where to recommend for botox and filler in Korea cuz I got it in LA. But wanted to tell you that I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE BOTOX AND FILLER. Ever since I got it, my face feature became defined. I could see more definition and less fat and muscel. Had botox injection on my forehead, eyebrows, under eyes, nostrils(my favorite-but damn painful),jaw line, shoulders, arms and calves-became slimmer so it looks longer. And had filler injection on the chin and aegyosal area which made my chin pointier and V-shape. Honestly, I don't recommend under eye botox and aegyosal filler. Under eye botox make my expression so funny especially, when I smile. Many people asked me I look so swellon. And Aegyosal filler looks too unnatural so I regreted it. Both procedure is,fortunately, not permananent so if anything goes wrong, it is not a big deal.It just takes time. All the best to find good place for the procedures and share with us if you can! :3
christmaspresent Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 I’m interested in this topic as well. I’m looking for a derm to go to visit regularly. I already have one horrible experience in Korea and it wasn’t cheap either. I’d fly further to get this done but I cannot buy flights more than couple days ahead so it makes it difficult. Also if something goes wrong I need to be able to fly back soon. Seoul and HK are the only realistic destinations for me.
mlydzz Posted September 1, 2018 Posted September 1, 2018 I know right like if youre from the states there are plenty of good injectors there and if it's from another state at least you dont have to pay over a THOUSAND for flights compared to korea being far away (flying from state to state is pretty cheap as i've seen). THIS IS FOR OP TOO. If youre flying to korea just for botox and fillers i think that's a waste of money like youre not even getting surgery done. I had mine done in philadelphia (botox and fillers) and she was really great at it, for undereye i LITERALLY had swelling for 2 days only and no bruising compared to when i had it done in KOREA when i had lumps for 3 weeks?? Like??
christmaspresent Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 I live in Asia and Seoul is really my closest option where to get fillers done. I’d fly to Australia or SG but it’s already a 9 hours flight and too expensive to book just couple days advance. I’m planning to get a lot done when I’m going to Europe but I don’t travel to Europe that often so I’m looking for clinics in Asia too.
amali9099 Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Have you had botox and fillers before? I would research what you want put in your face (though be willing to take recommendations from the doctor WITHIN reason - the research helps you to better sniff out BS) which includes cost, cost per lasting time, projection, dissolubility, etc. That last one is really important. Especially because fillers can vary hugely from country to country depending on what has been approved. You will find a lot of (better and worse) stuff abroad versus the USA, for example. A good sign of a gentle doctor is one who realizes it is your first time, listens to you, and doesn't overinject your face even if you want it. A good doctor will say, it is your first time/I don't want to over do it so try one syringe now and if you want more, come back in two weeks. Don't know which K-clinics are good for filler....
frangranceaddict Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Did you check out the websites? I know websites are not always true but it gives you an idea.
dal21 Posted September 15, 2018 Author Posted September 15, 2018 Hi everyone! Thank you for your responses. The reason why I'm looking for these temporary cosmetic procedures in Seoul, despite their risks, is simply because I'm currently living in Korea and have no plans to fly to other countries. In any case, I just wanted to provide you with a quick update: I've got jawline botox at Me Clinic which was pretty great! The doctor was a little rough (it felt as if he was stabbing my jaw) and there was nothing fancy, but the job was done well and all is good. As for fillers, I'm still on the hunt for a clinic that has affordable prices (relative to the prices for locals) and produces natural results. On top of my list is Kodi Plastic Surgery. Apart from the fact that I would have to turn up with an interpreter, I'm a little hesitant to go as I've read reviews that the doctors tend to rush through consultation (?), etc. At the same time, I've seen some of their results and most appear to be natural and pretty. It seems that it's doing relatively well amongst locals too. Does anyone have experience or hearsay with this clinic?
honeyjello Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 What about Tox n Fill? What are your opinions about this chain?
dal21 Posted September 15, 2018 Author Posted September 15, 2018 Tox n Fill is a pretty big chain and I've read a lot of mixed reviews about the quality of their filler jobs. I'm also unsure as to whether their pricing is different for foreigners. So I'd think the biggest challenge would be to find the right doctor at the right branch. However, I do not have any information on this ;;
lynns Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 Im considering Me Clinic too. Chanced upon it, and the prices are very reasonable and transparent. How come you didnt consider filler with them? Im thinking to do Ulterapy, with them as its much cheaper comparing with Singapore. Filler prices looks good too. Botox is kind of subjective as it goes by how many units the dr injects.
