platypuspengu Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 I have pretty bad shadows under my eyes and the area is hollow. I know that this can be treated with fillers. Dies anyone have experiences with that and recommodations for Seoul?
chinnie Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 Academically fat is strongly recommended for under eye filler over hyaluronic acid type. No personal experience yet!
mlydzz Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 I went to garosu plastic surgery for under eye filler (i got restylane), I initially wanted fat graft but they recommended me to go for fillers first so i was like ok..why not. I had lumps for ~3 weeks until it finally went down but the result was satisfying. Compared to the second time i did it it was in Philadelphia and my injector used a micro cannula which was WAY better because i had no lumps and i was only swollen for like 2 days.
phoebebuffey Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 Lumps under your eyes? Sounds scary! I've never considered undereye fillers... I was going to do TRC.
chinnie Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 I should add that I did have under eye filler with a hyaluronic acid based filler (juvaderm I think)? The problems with that is 1.it has to be delicate to avoid lumps as these are thick and the skin is thin 2. These type of fillers are translucent. If you have pale skin, then it can cause light to reflect under the eye and show the veins! These two things happened to me. However the filler dissolves in a few months so that's good. I had no dark circles pior but after the filler I have a big purple dark circle it was a little upsetting. The filler cost an insane amount of money compared to Korea (and I live in Chicago). I hope when I get the fat grafts I can finally have a naturally healthy look
jennam Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 No experience yet but I'd like to recommend Wannabeps to you that I know from my Korean friend. Dr. Jang is specializing in eyes surgery especially dark circle related issue.
mlydzz Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 Fat graft can cause lumps too and it's more of a permanent solution, and for the filler you just...didn't go to an experienced injector because imo under eye fillers are worth it :/
chinnie Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 Yes the person who did it was very young, but I thought if I went to Northwestern they would be experts, as it's one of the best hospitals in the country. Well I learned that lesson! But also my skin is almost translucently pale. Don't get me wrong when the lumps went away I loved how it looked but had to conceal the purple vein with makeup. I've had fillers several times since then just not in my under eye
mlydzz Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 thats interesting, some veins show in my undereye but fillers didn't make it worse
