In my earlier posts, I mentioned that i was interested in doing a mini liposuction on my tummy area instead of a normal liposuction due to my BMI of 22.5 and it is under local anaesthesia.

As my traveling plans were firmed up only a week before I left for Korea, I was in a rush to contact the clinics. My choice revolves mainly around Renewme clinic and 365mc.

Renewme Clinic
Reference: Singaporean blogger, Shenny, did her mini liposuction in Renewme clinic. Her blog helped me understanding the process of how it works.
Mode of Contact: Before I left for Korea, I got in touch with Renewme via Kakaotalk.
Process: I sent them photos of my tummy areas and info (e.g. height, weight, waist circumference).
Price: Renewme clinic offers me the same price (60cc) as mentioned in Shenny's blog and I was able to get a 5% off the total price as I quoted Shenny's blog. However, the price is only valid if you paid in cash. If you decided to use a credit card to pay, you have to pay an additional of 10%. Consultation costs 20,000 won.

Pros: It is a breeze to get a face-to-face consultation with Renewme clinic. I managed to get an appointment on the same day that I landed in Korea.
Cons: None.

365mc
Reference: Catsky84 wrote her bad experience with 365mc in this forum.
Mode of Contact: I did an online chat with 365mc via their website and after which, we conversed with each other using email.
Process: They did not request photos but info (e.g. height, weight, waist circumference).
Price: They quoted me 570,000 won for 1 bottle (50cc) but it is subjected to changes after a face-to-face consultation. I tried to get a face-to-face consultation but it is subjected to a deposit of 50% down payment for the surgery.
Cons: I do not want to pay a deposit because of catsky84's experience.

Misooda
Feeling indignant at not getting a face-to-face consultation, I got in touch with Miu from Misooda to see if am able to get one. :P
Reference: Catsky84 had complimented on Miu's services in her one of her threads.
Mode of Contact: I went to Misooda's website and clicked on "Inquiry" under LAMS promotion.
Process: Miu is very helpful and responsive in her whatsapp replies.
Price: Miu managed to help me get a face-to-face consultation with no consultation charges on the same day that I landed in Korea. Yay! And I did not need to pay anything to Misooda as Misooda is an agency that helps to negotiate prices. However, at the back end, we will not know.

Surgery Day

After I reached 365mc, Gianna met me and took my weight again. After which, I was brought to the next building for the operation. I was changed into a surgery robe and led to see the surgeon. Dr Ha Jun Hyung spoke minimal English and Gianna did the translation for me. Dr Ha asked me questions and proceeded to assess my tummy area and drawn on it. He suggested that I could do the unlimited bottles if I want to but I rejected him. He told me that I will not be able to expect a flat tummy after the mini liposuction and I told him that I understand. I proceeded to sign those documents for surgery. I asked him if it would be ticklish because i felt ticklish when he drew on my tummy area and he said I should feel minimal pain. He also said he expected the surgery to last for an hour because he is fast. So, I asked him if that is a good thing and he laughed and replied yes. Oops. Ahahaha.
I asked him if the same solution for normal liposuction was to be injected in my body and he replied that it is a similar solution but not that same. (For Renewme clinic, the surgeon would also inject the solution before the mini liposuction. He told me that there will be 2 incision sites, 1 on the right and 1 on the left (around 13 cm away from the naval aka belly button). He instructed me not to drink alcohol for the next 1 month and I can resume other activities as per normal.
After that, I was led to the operation theatre and lied on the surgery table. The OT looked clean and sterile. I was given an antibiotic injection at my back and after which, the OT nurses started to apply iodine on my tummy areas. Gianna was led out of the OT. (I was unsure if Gianna will be inside the OT if you do not know Korean. I was able to speak Korean though but I felt more assured hearing both languages translated at the same time so that I do not misunderstand.)
Dr Ha speaks mainly Korean with just some words of English. Hence, he spoke Korean to me most of the times.
Dr Ha came in and told me that he will be injecting the local anaesthesia into my body. I was not able to see anything as my view was obscured from the tummy onwards but I was able to see the things around me, especially the clock. Lying down there and I wondered why I wanted to do mini liposuction. I guess most people would start to question themselves or regret at their decisions.
After injecting the LA, Dr Ha informed me that he will be injecting the solution first. It is a little uncomfortable. I can feel that the cannula is inserting into my body and thrusting. Dr Ha had his palm on my tummy to feel the cannula (I think?). He would be on my right side for a few minutes and then move to left side to perform the insertion and thrusting for another few minutes and repeat the process for about 15 mins. During the whole procedure, he will ask me if I felt painful and I replied him that I was okay. And the amusing thing was that, within minutes of the procedure, he started to hum. This is so funny. But in a way, I felt assured because that means that he is in a relaxed mood and in a way, it showed that he is confident. Oh well... but that's my guess as I do hum during my work too.
Around 15 minutes of injecting and thrusting the solution, he stopped for a while and told me that he is going to begin the liposuction. The same thing happened. He would be on my right side for a few minutes and then left side for another few minutes and repeated the whole process for another 15 minutes or so. He showed me a bottle (syringe) of my fats after he done with the first bottle. The pain or discomfort is bearable but there was at a point towards the end where i could feel the pain. In my opinion, the injection of solution and thrusting was more painful than the actual liposuction. However, generally, it is minimal discomfort or pain, if any. During the whole procedure, we were chitchatting in Korean. He would also constantly asked me if I felt pain and I would told him if I did or felt a bit ticklish. He also also remind me to relax when he felt the muscle tension.
Finally, the whole process has finished and he showed me the whole 6 bottles of fats. They were yellowish and orangey in color, which I thought that meant that not many blood vessels were burst during the mini liposuction. (From what I saw from Shenny's blog, I saw some bottles were of a more reddish hue. I guess possibly those fats were taken out from the thighs or arms?)
After which, Dr Ha advised me on my posture. He reminded me to sit up straight and not bend forward too much as he can see a horizontal line across my tummy area. With that, he left the OT. I was lying down on the table listening to the post op instructions. The OT nurses cleaned me up and put plasters with cotton balls on the incision sites. There are a total of 2 plasters. The innermost plaster sticking to the skin will drop off on its own. On top of the innermost plaster, there is another plaster with cotton balls. I guess the purpose of it was to absorb any fluid leaking out. I was to remove the top plaster with the cotton ball 24 hours later. That means I should not shower after the surgery.
I was given a gel to apply on my tummy area. I was also given the post-op prescriptions (3 times a day for 3 days) to buy at the pharmacy next door. I was also told to back at 365mc 6 days later for some treatment because I was leaving Korea on the 8th day. I got myself a box of pumpkin juice at the pharmacy because that is the only place that I can find pumpkin juice.
I felt fine after the surgery and took the subway to my hostel. There was no pain nor discomfort.
When I got back to my hostel, I wore a tummy shape wear for compression purpose despite no compression garment was needed. Bruises and swelling were minimal when I checked at night. My post-op body size was the same as pre-op body size. I wore the tummy shapewear to sleep.

Post Op: Day 1 to Day 5

I proceeded to shower on post-op Day 1 after removing the outer plaster with cotton ball. However, I put another plaster on top of the innermost plaster for safety reasons. I wore the tummy shapewear for the next 3 days, during the day and night while sleeping. I was sleeping on my back. Bruises and swelling were minimal.
I had arnica pills and cream with me. I only had 1 arnica pill on the 4th day after I finished with the meds prescribed. I also applied arnice cream twice on the 4th day. I did not took the pills nor apply the cream after that. I had asked Dr Ha if it was okay for me to had the arnica pills and cream and he said they were not necessary and told me not to take them. I stopped wearing the shapewear after the 4th day. I felt that the bruises became slightly worse after I stopped wearing the shapewear. But the bruises were not those type of huge areas of bruising. Hence, I felt okay.

Post Op: Day 6

I arrived at the 365mc for my post op treatment. Gianna was at the reception and she took my weight. My weight was the same before the surgery. She asked if I wanted to see a consultant for diet medications. Since I was free, I agreed. Gianna was unable to accompany me because she has other appointments. But she told me to tell the consultant if I need her help in translating. I saw the consultant (? doctor) and she looked through my medical record and asked me questions. She could speak English fairly. She prescribed me with 2 weeks worth of diet pills. The diet pills consist of caffeine and appetite suppressant and I was to take it twice a day, once after breakfast and another, after lunch.
The consultant told me that my ideal weight is 55.6kg despite me being at 1.63cm tall and 59.7kg. That puts me at a BMI of 20.9. I am surprised though. I guess the body analysis machine takes into account my bone mass, muscle mass etc. (No wonder, maybe that explains why I do not feel "healthy" when I was 54kg before.)
I went for my post op treatment. The post op treatment was de-swelling injections. The staff could only speak Korean and very minimal English. She measured my waist and it was the same before the liposuction. She was surprised that I did not swell up a lot and my bruising were minimal.
After the de-swelling injections, I was given the diet pills meds and was officially discharged.

My thoughts on bruises and swelling: I think the shapewear helps me in reducing the bruises and swelling as well as walking. I have been walking for at least 5 hours everyday when I was in Korea. I think that helps me a lot.

My thoughts on 365MC Hospital: Everybody I met, was friendly, kind and sweet to me. I guess I am lucky. Gianna's English is good and she managed to translate everything in Korean to English without a miss. Dr Ha Jun Hyung is confident in his work, which made me feel assured as he is able to hum and chitchat with me during the surgery and constantly asking if I felt pain and reminded me to relax. That assured me a lot and I thanked him for that.

I hope I will be able to update this thread with post op 1 month and post op 3 month with photos as I read that the effect or final result would show up in the 3rd month.

Oh yes. I forgot to mention that Dr Ha said that there will be lumps and bumps but they would disappear after 6 months. There will also be pigmentation around the incision sites and he said the scars will disappear in a year's time.

Thanks for the review, I was worried about 365mc after reading catsky84's review but looks like you had no issues. Do you know how many surgeons they have? She mentioned Dr Kang Yun Hee did hers. I know they specialized in lipo but I think the skill is with the doctor him/herself and not the clinic so I'm glad you both mentioned names as I've wondered how often doctors rotate in and out of their clinic.

Can you clarify why you did not take him up on the offer of unlimited bottles for your stomach? Do you mean since you didn't take him up on that offer, you couldn't get a flat stomach?

I'm still a bit confused on mini lipo, I thought over a certain amount of fat taken out you'd need regular lipo but there seems to be no limit on the amount of fat they'd take out for mini lipo based on that offer?

@Gats Yes. That is the confusing part about unlimited bottles. We all thought, or at least it was advertised that a maximum of 400cc can be drawn from each area and I was surprised that the offer of unlimited bottles were given to me. I was caught off guard.
I read on naver cafe that the Koreans did unlimited bottles. Some of them had as many as 49 bottles but they were taken out from the arms, tummy, love handles and thighs. Maybe that's why, their bruises were more serious than mine. However, from the photos from naver website, one can see that they are plump or overweight to begin with. Hence, I guess mini liposuction can be substituted as a normal liposuction.
Out of curosity, I enquired the reception staff on the price of the unlimited bottles, she told me the price will vary among individuals as regards to their sizes.

Renewme clinic did not offer me the option of unlimited bottles. Or maybe, they do not have that offer at all?

Before I went to Korea, I was searching on both naver and soyoung to have a gauge of how many bottles I needed, based on similar physiques from me and I deduced that i need about 4-6 bottles as I required them only for my tummy area and not flanks.
Dr Ha Ji Hyun of Renewme Clinic said I need at least 4 for both upper and lower tummy areas but definitely won't exceed 6. She also said that I do not need them for my flanks/love handles. Hence, I used her words as a guideline.

Of course, another question I had in mind was, do I really need more than 6 bottles? Will it cause any harm? Will there be unevenness? Even if I do unlimited bottles, maybe it is just another 2 additional bottles as I only need them on my upper and lower tummy and not flanks/love handles.

As this is my first time doing liposuction, I decided to play safe and see how it goes. If in the future, I have gained more weight and my tummy and love handles began to bulge out, maybe I will go back for the unlimited bottles.

As for the surgeons in 365mc, I really have no idea how many there are. I tried to search for the list of surgeons in their website but could not find any. In seoul, they have 2 branches, 1 in Seoul National University of Education (Gyodae) area and another 1 in Sinchon area. And they also have other branches in other parts of Korea. So, I will not be surprised if they have freelance or parttime surgeons.

I looked up in google and naver for my surgeon, Dr Ha Jun Hyung. I know it is a bit late searching for his credentials after being operated by him but I was just curious. He used to work in other plastic surgery clinics and he did rhinoplasty, double eyelids etc.

I wrote this experience of mine, detailing every step so that those who are interested in mini liposuction will know the actual process so that they can be better informed than me. They can also consider unlimited bottles now that we all know 365mc does offer this service.

@Gats As for the flat tummy, Dr Ha Ji Hyun (Renewme) mentioned that despite I do not require more than 6 bottles for my tummy, I should not expect to have a flat tummy after the mini liposuction.

But there is another variant when they assessed my body. I was going to have my menses soon. I usually go up 1 size before and during my menses. They assessed me on Thursday, I had the surgery on Friday and my menses came on Saturday.

Hence, I will only know how flat my tummy will be after 1-3 months.

From the soyoung website, this lady had 300cc of fats taken out from her tummy area.
The top photo showed her tummy area during post op 74 days. The below photos were dated before the op, post op 30 days and post op 60 days. But she mentioned that after the surgery, she did start to eat healthily and went to the gym.
