  1. IT IS LEGAL all over the world, not just in Third World countries. It is legal in UK, USA, Australia you name it. Cosmeticians can do lipo, inject fillers etc. If you look at the qualifications of some doctors they may even start out in dentistry and change over to the more lucrative cosmetic field.
Problem is, I've found the Board Certified Doctors in USA, UK, Australia, 75% do not have the 'aesthetic' eye. I find their results ho-hum! I want someone to give me the 'WOW' look so in the end it's up to you what you choose.

  2. Thanks for taking the time to write this up. Namu was on my list as well. I do have quite a few scars already on my forehead from accidents. I bet if I went Claire would say, "well's what's another scar to you as you already have so many..."

  3. Keloids happens if your body reacts to scars so it's NOT the surgeon's fault if it happens. I am an unfortunate one to keloid well actually as an Asian it's more hypertrophic scarring but even so it's very distressing as it takes years to flatten. Keloids are more common with darker skin.

  4. I didn't want to say it but I think he's Chinese. I think he'll be good to have a consult with. Ask he is Skypes to save you a trip. He's done great work on ageing eyes and he's an oculoplastic surgeon.

  5. Otherwise at the risk of sounding like a promoter for Wave, my other choice if I wasn't having my eyes done in SK would have been Wave in L.A. Sorry I'm not sure what 'hooded' eyes are like so if these examples are hooded then i apologise in advance. WAVE eyes LazyBumTot's.jpgLos Angeles WAVE amazing eyes and nose.jpg

  6. Quote below is from Oculoplastic surgeon Joseph Walrath
Epilogue: The Dark Art of Ptosis Repair
It is very interesting to observe that the left upper lid, which was initially higher, has fallen somewhat. This is not something that would have been directly caused by the surgery on that side. This is an indirect response and demonstrates that the lid heights between one eye and the other interact: changing the lid height on one side can effect the lid height on the other side, sometimes in a subtle way and sometimes in a dramatic way, through a neurological phenomenon known as the Hering effect. It is partly for this reason that every upper lid ptosis patient is told there is a 10% chance that they will require touch-up or revision after their surgery.
If you want to stay in Australia try Dr Tai Smith, Oculoplastic surgeon in Brisbane

  7. Is there a reason why you are not revealing the clinic?
Well if I wasn't going to SK I would have opted to go to Wave in L.A.

  8. MissO I am sure you remember the UK Diet Queen, Rosemary Conley. She's 72 this year. Swears she's never had a facelift because of this facial exerciser device she is using religiously. It's not easy to use but you will get the hang of it and then you progress to another level. She does take HRT and I believe that has helped her enormously with looking young. However for me too scary.
She liked the device so much she bought the company. Her story is below.

Rosemary Conley’s experience of using Facial Flex®:
‘Facial Flex® is a facial exercise gadget which I use every day in an effort to hold my face together with my advancing years. I know how effective this little bit of kit is and I am evangelical about it.

‘It was originally created by a plastic/cosmetic surgeon who, after reconstructing the faces of burns victims, designed a gadget that would help to redevelop their facial muscles. The therapists who were demonstrating the gadget to the patients realised that day by day they were toning up their own faces and looking younger. Wonderfully, the product was then marketed for that very purpose.

‘I was sent a sample to try several years ago and I became an avid disciple of the product. It really does work. And it’s not surprising. If we exercise our arms and legs, they become stronger and more toned. Why not for our face? And it was learning from teaching exercise and using light weights and toning bands to make my muscles stronger that made me realise that if I increased the strength of the band used with my Facial Flex®, I could speed up the process and increase the effect on my facial muscles. And that is exactly what I have done.

‘If you are of a certain age and decide to treat yourself to a Facial Flex®, or already have one, you will want to start off with the No 1 strength of band, changing the band every week to maintain the strength. As soon as you run out of your No 1 bands, use the No. 2 bands. (both 1 and 2 bands are supplied with your Facial Flex®). When you feel ready, progress to the No. 3 band, which is what I use. You can order these at www.rosemaryconley.com/shop.

‘I did a Trial with some middle-aged women over a six month period, taking before and after photographs of their results. Some of these are shown on this page. These photographs have not been photo shopped in any way and are a genuine illustration of the increased muscle tone on the faces of my trialists.

‘Your Facial Flex® will tone up 30 different muscles from your cheek bones down to your chest. It will help to tone up your jowls, your double chin, your neck and your upper chest area. It will make your lips thicker too. I absolutely swear by it – and it is significantly cheaper and much safer than a face lift!’
