  1. Who really knows the truth. I think it's a bit of everything. I think surgeons really need to stop being so overly confident and pretend they're skilled when they don't have enough experience. Some people are just not candidate for this type of surgery-- zygoma is just a bad idea bc you need that volume and contour and to frame the eyes. I look like a turtle without my cheekbones.

I'm trying to stay away for implants due to the complications involved.
There is another method using inter positional bone graft from either the hip bone or skull. However, I wonder if taking bone from the hip distorts that area? I don't know but it's worth a try. Such a nightmare...‍♀️

  2. This surgery causes looseness regardless of your age--bc you're reducing support. If the malar area has been reduced it will sag or just doesn't look right. Maybe it works for people who have HUGE cheekbones? But then, I would think sagging might still happen? Who knows what to believe anymore. I look at my before photos and don't know why the hell I was so dysphoric about. Every surgeon I consulted for revision mentioned that I was beautiful and can't understand why I did this. I was just too blind and brainwashed by all the photoshopped photos--now my face is elongated and narrow. I lost my once sculpted face. The eye area looks so odd without the volume of the zygoma. My define jawline and contour is now gone. One surgery cost me my life and a promising future.

  3. How is your friend now? I hope he's feeling and doing better. Judging from her Ct scan, I think he'll be able to fix

  4. I've been doing some research and found another girl on realself who also experience facial sagging after zygoma reduction. You can see her before and after photos on her post. Just click on her profile and look at her questions posted.

  5. I can't believe they said "cheekbone would be ideal for you"...

I'm not surprised considering they allegedly botched a girl from China. Like missorange, this girl didn't even have prominent cheekbone or jaw--somehow she went through with the surgery and ended up with screws and plates that caused her discomfort, pain and clicking noises. I believe she ended up going to a reconstruction surgeon who had to do a coronal incision across her head in order to reposition her zygoma. You can read her story on soyoung.com

If your going to get plastic surgery, you better have a lawyer just in case. Document everything and record the consult
