  1. Facelift may help with the soft tissue but it actually makes the face looking flatter because there's no upper face contour. You might need to replace it with fat grafting at the same time. I went from attractive to being an invisible freak with this surgery.

  2. Hi guys,

I have shared my issues with my soft tissue after having my cheekbone and jaw reduced on another thread. It's been a few years since my surgery and after all the research and consult I still haven't found a surgeon that I can trust and believe in. It's funny how I once dislike my cheekbone and jaw I now miss it terribly.

What's done is done and I can only move forward from here. If anyone can recommend a place for fat transfer and lift I would greatly, GREATLY appreciate it.

  3. You think weight loss would help? I'm already pretty thin so not sure if losing weight be make things worst.

  4. I agree with you. A few mm can make a big difference in a good or bad Way. Research is important and as a patient you would hope your surgeon would be meticulous--but thats not always the case.

The length of my face is 18inchs and 15 in width--but the soft tissue laxity gives an illusion of it being more elongated. An "unclean" look so to speak. From my Ct scan and judging. Y appearance in person, I feel like I need some type of lift and a revision of my left cheekbones ( right side in photo). You can see it sits slightly lower on the left side. Which in person, creates a shadow.'

  5. The funny thing is, even if I get a lift, it won't be long lasting due to the lost of support. Possible making my face look more flat. Implants has a chance for migration, infection and looking chipmunk like and unnatural. If you notice, most these girls who get zygoma reduction, always look better before surgery.
This surgery only looks good in photos but not in real life.
Surgeons really need to be honest about skin laxity and the changes in the eyes.
There was an article of some Korean clinics that were caught using photoshopped photos or allegedly, hiring models (who never had surgery at the clinic) Used to promote the clinic. Some of these places hire agency to write up glowing reviews. If you want plastic surgery, you really need to ask advice from somebody who doesn't have any monetary interests. I hope my experience help anyone whose thinking about zygoma and jaw. For someone whose been through it--it's really not worth the changes...but you never know until you actually do it :/

  6. Has anyone had zygoma/jaw reduction and find that not only they had skin laxity but the look of their eyes has changed? Meaning, my eyes used to be framed by my cheekbones and gave an allure to them...after reduction, it looks sad and an illusion of being pulled down?
I can't wear false lashes anymore because it just seems empty and off.

I hate to say this but I'm pretty devasted I did this. I feel like I'll be spending the rest of my life trying to find ways to tighten my skin and get the look to my eyes back. Honestly, every surgeon has their aesthetics and techniques but none are 100% sure and confident how things will turn out-
A lot has to do with luck-but most importantly, sometimes staying natural is the way to go.

  7. You're very knowledgeable in this area. I agree with you. I wish I had done jaw Botox first before doing anything invasive. My cheekbones were flat in the front by wide. I enclosed some photos of my Ct scan after surgery. Let me know why you think.

  8. The left side of my face prior to surgery--it was th right cheekbones hat was a more rounded. In photos it was more prominent--but that was easily covered up with my hair. However, before surgery I never really noticed it until I had this surgery done. Then I REALLY saw every detail of my face that I didn't notice before. I either should've just reduced one side or nothing at all.

Now after the zygoma reduction my eyes looks different. They look sad due to the skin. I don't know if an endoscopic facelift would help me. If I pull my skin from my temple upwards, it looks slightly better. So i'm thinking a possible lift and fat grafting?

All I know is my left cheekbone which was once good now looks like it was pushed to inward and slightly low. So I do t know if o should touch the bones again and have it pushed outward before fixing the soft tissue.

  9. i had my cheekbone and jaw reduced. It's been some time now and I am experiencing some soft tissue laxity in my cheeks which makes my jawline look slightly fuller.

I originally did this surgery to make my face more symmetrical. The left side of my face before surgery was nice but the right cheekbones was more rounded and slightly wider.

Long story short, my left cheekbone looks like it was pushed too inward in a slightly downward displacement.

Before my surgery I was confident but wanted some improvements--after surgery my face is no longer tight as before and the left cheekbones (right cheekbone in photos) needs to be pushed back out somewhat.

I wish I had only reduced the right side of my cheekbone (left side in photo) but unfortunately it's too late.

I'm hoping there's a chance to revise the left cheekbones slightly outward. Please let me know if you can recommend a revision facial contouring specialist. Enclosed is a before and after of my Ct scan to give you guys a clearer picture of what I'm referring too.
